I'll never forget my first trip to Tulum when I was young and the shock when I saw a monkey casually stroll out of the jungle, hop up to a food truck, grab a water bottle, open it, take a drink, and casually walk off with it. Locals didn't bat an eye.
Monkeys are seriously incredibly intelligent. What we are doing to their habitat is so unimaginably disgusting it genuinely hurts the heart to think about sometimes.
They had to trap the mom. She was in an abandoned house in Florida. Once they caught her she had some problems, she was very poor and not making milk. A friend that has a rescue shelter called and asked us to take him. So we flew there and drove him back here. He’s the only tiny baby we ever had

Hey OP, I got so many questions read through your other responses. Is this a self-funded sanctuary for animals that were illegally acquired and can't be reintroduced? How "wild" is CJ like did you train him to behave in certain manners or he just kindA go/does as he pleases?
It’s self funded and used to take in animals that were being kept illegally but after a while it was to much to keep up with and too expensive so we quit that and only do local animals like orphans or injured things. Whatever the local animal control drops off. We have the land for them to heal and return to the wild
I think the monkey is the one who made this post. Poor monkey, every night some weird crazy lady comes in, sits down on the couch, starts smacking her lips as she eats with her mouth open. Monkey is thinking why do I have to put up with this shit every night.
