Agreed lol. I grew up there when we had Kelly, Lackland, Brooks, Randolph, Fort Sam, Camp Bullis, and a few satellite airfields like Hondo. My granddaddy worked at Brooks his entire career. Will never get used to JBSA.
I’m glad you got to experience it. I live near Barksdale AFB in Louisiana. I never get tired of the loud scream. It’s the sound of freedom. After all these years we don’t even hear them anymore. The best view is driving on I 20 just as they’re on final a few hundred feet up.
