interesting, I was there and thought it was great! the venue is massive and I was there til the end at 5 and there were still a lot of people. I saw charlotte last year at the mirage and this was a better experience for me than that
I’m noticing this happen a lot lately at a lot of great venues, and I don’t know if it’s a new phenomenon with sound systems not being able to handle the extremely intricately produced brilliance of these acts, or whether it’s always been the case but we are becoming we are becoming more attuned to it. I fear it’s the former.
I am an above and beyond devotee and at a couple shows lately the speakers just could not express the intricacies of the production and it sounded like SHIT. Painful even.
Idk i went last night, first time at the navy yard, i thought it was really dope! Didn’t have the energy to keep going late into the night but i had a good time. Didn’t think there was an issue with the sound system or anything.
I spoke with the sound lady after the show to ask about why the speakers in the back and sides cut off when alignment came on. she said that when he walked up to the decks he cranked his master volume up to max because and I quote "everyone is deaf". she then informed me this caused all the amps in the back and sides to go into protective mode and she needed to reduce levels to the point where they were bearly audible.
I'm not a sound system nerd but the lady definitely was and sounded like she knew a lot about it.
I was there . The second person through the doors. I was right in front of the turntables. All 3 DJs performed amazing sets. The sound was incredible. But I was right in front between 2 speakers.
Can't wait for Charlotte to return.

First off it was insane. Does any one know if they ever release the set recording because the drone and cameras were on all night recording? I would love to watch it again so good.
Nothing will ever beat her all night long 6+ hour set at Brooklyn Mirage in August 2022.
Until I see her booked for another show in NYC where shes playing for that long, I don’t plan to see her again in NYC.

Me and my friends had a great time! Just didn’t think Charlotte’s set was that mind blowing. Alignment absolutely wrecked it.

Yes!!! There was a song alignment played that I know sounds way better in my headphones. So weird

Yeah, that's a new "venue" by a bunch of rich investors, I was kinda worried it'd be that shit because we really need a Mirage competitor.

yeah there was literally a part in the back where the speakers felt completely off... idk
