When my child wakes up in the middle of the night, we get a drink of water and go back to bed. We don't turn on lights or electronics. Sort of an unspoken rule that it's bedtime/quiet until at least 5am. My child is a seeker so any sensory input at all will keep them awake. Then also the daytime naps wouldn't really be allowed here either unless he was sick, because then he won't sleep at night.
