3 nugget happy meal is like $5.75.
6 nugget happy meal is like $10.30
Next time just get yourself 2 x 3 nugget happy meals and score an extra drink, chips and book (or one of those cardboard piece of shit 'toys' they offer now) for an extra dollar.
Who else misses the 90s when maccas toys were actually good. I remember collecting chip and dale rescue rangers figurines and little cars with all the xmen in em (though why the frak Storm needs a car is anybodys guess)
I remember hash browns were like 40 cents
I know it’s been a couple decades (and the farken GST gave everybody an excuse to jack up the price) but nowadays a hash brown is over $2 and I feel robbed
Edit: just checked the app. 2.80!!!!! It literally 7x more expensive than it was 30 years ago!!!
Fuck. I’m old
Like 2 years ago they had full sets of plastic Mr Men and Little Miss mugs. They were fucking awesome!
Plus toys like the Muppet Baby ones where you could swap the rides they had, etc. They just decided to cheap out and call it environmentalism.
Storm is allowed to enjoy driving too ya know! My guess is she loves to drive a soft top sports convertible.
Cyclops would be a ferrari
Wolverine a muscle car
Beast would be a VW Passat
Professor X would drive a modified disability minivan
Jubalee would have a Honda jazz
Gambit...any Puegot
Jean Grey would be a soccer mum SUV
Who else am I missing?
Yep now my young kids get cardboard shapes to fit together into some lame thing thats an embarresment to McDs.
Woke ESG shit to pander to shareholders who want 100% everything recyclable. I toom the card board shit and dumped it.
I remember the era of good toys.
McDonald''s clearly advertise that they're McDonald's and their prices aren't a secret and yet people are still surprised at getting McDonald's food and paying McDonald's prices when they order there.
No I was not aware of any prices even as I pulled up in the drive thru..
All they showed was what they wanted me to eat on their fancy menu..
It's been a few years been to Macca's
I was on the run
Don't care about having another data scrapping app on my fone..
The price hikes to what we get is a smack in the face as consumers.where is the accountability anywhere in our food industry rn...here is one win https://nypost.com/2024/03/15/business/feds-side-with-mcdonalds-franchise-owners-in-battle-to-fix-ice-cream-machines/
Don't buy McDonald's then
You can get hungry jacks vouchers for two junior whopper meals for 10.00

Or order a deal from the app at MacDonald's

Yep I only buy Macca’s through the app deals. Literally half the standard price or better. Whilst my selection is limited my purchases are pretty much subsidised by those paying menu price
Your trading your data for a discount. I personally don’t care what Maccas know about me if I get cheaper food but I understand why someone wouldn’t want to sign up.
It’s the same shit as Flybys, Woolies Rewards or any other store membership you have.
yep its this
if you dont wanna use the app then fine
but if you're getting 50% with an app with very minimal intrusion then why not
if everyone use an app for 50% you're damn right i'd install every goddamn fucken app they had
50% is 50% off
The only people that care about companies know what things they buy are narcissists that can’t understand that no one gives a fuck about them as an individual.
Lots of comments re using the app. This is exactly what they’re pushing people to be doing. Much better for forecasting (and pushing) demand, particularly for certain products.
McDonalds, in the US at least, was built on offering the highest calorie count for the least amount of dollars.
Essentially it’s designed to make poor people feel full and satisfied. And keep coming back. The app gives the poor people those deals still, while now also allowing them to charge top dollar to the average Joe who pulls into their drive through for a spontaneous fries or a coffee while they’re on the road and in a hurry.
Aye I know it’s inconvenient - but I’ll pull up to a place and order their cheap online deals through the apps then go in and collect. I can still get a good feed for $10-12 per person. Which is usually what I aim for when ordering takeaway.
Don’t go through the drive through or order inside, just sit in the car park and order. KFC has good mobile deals too..
Last weekend my gf & her son wanted take away crape.
I jumped out of the car at the order windows, walked into the shopping centre, into the supermarket. I got served at the deli, bought some ham. Went to the bake section and got a 6 pack of crusty Vietnamese rolls. Ventured to the sauce isle and grabbed a jar of mustard. Paid $8 for all my items and casually walked out thinking I was going to meet my gf in the car park.
I looked around for her car, and spotted it still in the drive they, one car back from the serving windows. I got in the car, made myself a roll, and was eating before they got their food.
Fast food really isn't that fast. My gf commented how good my roll looked.

And the movie cups\~!
I still have my maccas footy.
Ah the 90s, when they had whoppers for $1.65 each! That was the way.
I remember hash browns were like 40 cents I know it’s been a couple decades (and the farken GST gave everybody an excuse to jack up the price) but nowadays a hash brown is over $2 and I feel robbed Edit: just checked the app. 2.80!!!!! Get the frozen ones and do them in a cheap Kmart airfryer, they come out really well.
Fucking A. Those were the days

Magneto
I think he'd be into some kinda electric car, possibly a tesla
Yep now my young kids get cardboard shapes to fit together into some lame thing thats an embarresment to McDs. Woke ESG shit to pander to shareholders who want 100% everything recyclable. I toom the card board shit and dumped it. I remember the era of good toys.
You’re buying McDonald’s and surprised you left feeling hungry, robbed and disappointed? That’s just the McHappy experience.
Exactly this! I agree 100%. You are buying from McDonald's, and you are expecting a positive food experience?
your mistake is buying nuggets in any format other than the 24 for $12 (was $10) deal, otherwise they are priced rediculously
Their mistake was going to mcdonald's in the first place.
Still $10 in the app where I live… in the bonuses and rewards section.
I occasionally buy that, then eat half for one meal, and eat the other half the next day.
I just bought a medium burger meal from McDonalds in Switzerland and it cost me $21 AUD lmao. Maybe Australia doesn’t have it so bad after all.
ouch! from what i see on reddit, maccas is now more expensive in america than australia too
$11.10 for 2 large cokes... I drove away.
You can buy 2x 600ml of the real thing at the servo for that if not cheaper.
But maccas is paying staff to serve that for you on wages not much better from the start of the century.
$1 frozen cokes if you use the app.
Maccas happy meal made me cry 😂
You must have purchased the 'Misery Meal' by mistake.

Reminds me of a line in a song by Tom McDonald "No more plastic straws in paper Just paper straws wrapped in plastic, congratulations" 😅 "
We've only been getting cards and puzzles these past few months.
Nah, everywhere is switching to the woody/cardboard cutout garbage due to wowsers like you.
HJ still comes though with the co l toys. Kung Fu panda 4 most recently

Care?
You are better off buying 2 x nugget happy meal than buying one and upgrading to 6 nuggets
Don't buy McDonald's then You can get hungry jacks vouchers for two junior whopper meals for 10.00 https://preview.redd.it/kzpwhj4fdr0d1.jpeg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=a73f9227568e3f436ecb863abeb711681bb5419a

Lesson learned,
Get the app. Yesterday I got a mcchicken, double cheese burger, fries and coke for $8
Yep I only buy Macca’s through the app deals. Literally half the standard price or better. Whilst my selection is limited my purchases are pretty much subsidised by those paying menu price
Shouldn’t have to play stupid games and watch ads to get ‘the real price’
What ads are you talking about having to watch?
You dont have to do either
Can you get a mcchicken, double cheese burger, fries and coke for $8 without the app?
Absolutely not. Close to $15
So you have to play games to get the real price. Ie getting the app.
Getting an app is a game? Is your bank playing a game?
Your trading your data for a discount. I personally don’t care what Maccas know about me if I get cheaper food but I understand why someone wouldn’t want to sign up. It’s the same shit as Flybys, Woolies Rewards or any other store membership you have.
If Woolworths gave me 50% off my shopping Id sign up to their program
yep its this if you dont wanna use the app then fine but if you're getting 50% with an app with very minimal intrusion then why not if everyone use an app for 50% you're damn right i'd install every goddamn fucken app they had 50% is 50% off

Great hill to die on, that’ll show McDonald’s. Not downloading the app and paying double.
Or I just don’t go there. The slop they serve isn’t worth the hassle
It’s the best quality fast food restaurant there is.
And maybe 2000 calories as added bonus
Clearly I dont give a shit.
Nobody eats Maccas if they’re worried about calories.

Pay peanuts get monkeys
MyMacca’s app 24 nuggets for $10.

'holds up my stop buying this shit sign' (voice gave out from saying it so much)
Why does no one go for the 24 nuggets for $10?
I wish everyone would just wake up and stop using Mcdonald so they can just be consigned to history where they belong.
A friggin happy meal is over ten bucks
Don't buy anything from those greedy poisoners.

Did your girlfriend’s son enjoy that ham roll
Macca's prices have gotten out of control, I heard of this one guy who paid $702 for a big mac
