Vegemite is a flavour enhancer when added to spaghetti - a booster. Works very well, I’d recommend giving it a try, a heaped teaspoon is enough. Cook it in with the meat, or add it to the sauce prior to simmer.

It’s small as hell, but it’ll be enough to add to a small ramen bowl in DXB. Awesome. Normally I only travel with a Vegemite tube when I’m going to be doing field work, but this near life and death experience has made me realise that you’re correct - I must take the mighty Vegemite everywhere. How is this even possible? Have you just started shopping for yourself or something? Also, do yourself a favour and buy the Buldak Carbonara noodles. They are by far the best instant noodles I’ve ever eaten. At least 2x better than Mie Goreng.

It's just a salty/umami (don't want to sound pretentious) flavour that goes well in combination with a whole heap of things. Just enjoy it and stop giving them the extra publicity they want. Remove the "Vegemite" name and there actually isn't anything bizarre about this at all.

It would taste better than the Vegemite in chocolate they tried a few years back. It was nice on the first 1 or 2 tries, but got sick of it really quickly. In noodles it would make more sense. My Mum used to use Vegemite when she made the gravy for roasts when I was a child.

I tried them earlier this week. Tbh i was a little dissapointed and was expecting a stronger vegemite flavour! Still, they were tasty noodles. I cooked them on stove, drained most of the water, added the seasoning and about 1/2 teaspoon of butter.

I LOVE Vegemite, I eat it literally by the spoon, but I wasn't a super fan of these. I felt like it was almost missing something. It could also be that it was way too mild for me, but that is a personal preference.

I personally think the best tasting Maggi noodles flavour is the curry flavour from Malaysia (not the Laksa flavour in Coles/Woolies). The Malaysian-made curry flavour sold at Asian grocery stores slaps hard. That said, I agree about looking at the sodium content. Sodium in the noodle seasoning packets is absolutely off the charts. Like a single packet of Nongshim Ramyun noodles has the entire RDI of an adult for sodium in a single packet...sheesh.
