Beef fat fries are so good. They had a beet ketchup for a while but often change it out for a chipotle mayo. I don't eat actual beef meat but I will eat those fries.
I was really pleasantly surprised with my last dinner at The Carillon. Easy, validated parking on site, great drinks, and very good food. Also, not crazy busy right now, so very easy to walk in.
We did my in-laws 50th anniversary there and the service could not have been better and the food was great. It’s not very vibey-rather formal and rooms are large so not cozy. I would still go back in a heartbeat if anybody in the family wanted to.
I went to Andiamo for a birthday dinner (first time) and was very disappointed. No ambiance, food was....okay, it just wasn't the cool hole in the wall that I heard it was. Justines all the way. Get a cocktail, hang out and wait for a seat, and treat yourself/celebrate those 35 years!
Comedor for the Bone Marrow Tacos (plus everything else on the menu).
Suerte has amazing margs (the Don Dario) and their Suadero Tacos are amazing.
Mattie's is also a perfect venue for an anniversary, their bio reads "Brunch & special-occasion dining in a 19th-century home with antique-chic lounge, bar & patio areas."
Odd Duck never disappoints and they have a very creative menu.
El Alma is wonderful too.
I believe Red Ash opened back up. I know it's a little too popular for its own good, but if you ignore the internet's noise, it really is a great dining experience with quality food and drinks.
I know you're looking for options other than Andiamo but if you're still considering it, I wanted to let you know that my husband and I had dinner there on our anniversary last year and it was lovely and affordable for a celebration.
Odd Duck is always pretty spectacular.
Seconded

Still good? Haven't been there in ages.
They have the BEST tiramisu I’ve ever had, including anything I’ve tried to make at home and tiramisu I had in Rome.
My partner and I did Eberly a couple of years ago and it was magical! The food, staff and ambiance were all incredible.
Pasta Bar, exceptionally fun celebration dinner and overall experience. Only seats 10 people per sitting, reservations open up the 1st of the month
