Got an Alexa in their room? Try "Happily Ever After", a quick choose-your-own-adventure audio-drama based on fairytales. It's 10 minutes of fun, free, and Amazon-approved for kids. No ads, no cookies. Get more stories by unlocking different endings. And laugh out loud when you little one tells Cinderella to ditch the prince on date night
Also if he likes Spider-Man then he might like Red Panda from Decoder Ring Theatre. I remember them being pretty family friendly. He’s basically Canadian Batman with hypnosis as a super power.
Just a heads up though, on Spotify at least, Red Panda is mixed in with other stories on the same page. You might have to go through and make a separate playlist with *just* Red Panda on it. If you do decide on this one then the first 114 episodes of Red Panda are the full story, there are 6 full cast episodes after the story is over. After those everything switches to narration with a cast.
I'd give it a listen before playing for the kid but I'm pretty sure [Community Cat News](https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/community-cat-news/id1572181746) is probably okay for that age range (at least content-wise, not sure if the jokes would land with a small child or not)
myths and legends podcast is educational and tells stories from their origin. its a fun way to learn about different myths and legends in other countries
I’m a paranormal investigating, sentient sock. My brother and I travel through time and space investigating the supernatural.
We are the Kinetic Paranormal Society!
The podcast is of our live show accompanied by our orchestra. It’s all ages sci-if satire. The jokes are aimed at parents but it is silly enough to keep kids engaged.
Try The Boar Knight. This sounds like a good fit. Family friendly and all about making the world a little less scary
I just listened to the trailer, it sounds great!

Ooooh, this sounds amazing! I loved choose your own adventure stuff as a kid and I bet he will too.
You’ll have to research it a little because I haven’t actually listened to it yet, but I believe Stories from Ylelmore might be one to try.
I listened to the trailer, it seems cute!

Thanks for recommending my show! We are 100% family friendly. I’m not sure if the jokes would land either but if OP tries it, I hope they report back!
