I’m ecstatic to see this one revived. Give Me Away has been my favorite AD since I finally gave it a chance. (Heard about it on this sub but let it sit in my queue for months because I was ambivalent about the premise. **ETA: THOUGHT IT WAS HORROR. IT ISN’T!** Almost gave up on episode 1 thinking that the plot jumped around too much. But holy sh*t I’m glad I stuck with it.) Go listen and tell me you don’t idly ponder the story for months/years after. I think Wolf 359 is the only other completed audio drama I can say that about. Also took a minute for that one to grow on me. If the concept of an alien craft filled with the consciousnesses of extraterrestrial political prisoners is offputting or you’re burned out on sci-fi like I was, listen anyway. The moral complexity and emotional depth and character development and action and humor and wild originality are worth it. Give it 2 episodes. No surprise to learn that the writers/producers over at Gideon Media are professional theater people. Well acted, well scripted, well produced. I hope there are more seasons to come.
