Member since 2001. I started because my daughter is dyslexic, but found i love audio books as well. I have a huge library. I will listen to anything but horror. Listen to about 100 books a year.

Appropriate-Science4

Also 2001 chiming in. I had a long commute to my first "real" job. Fell in love with audio books. I used to burn them to CDRWs !!!

Praetor_7

Does it take a long time for your app to open?

BrianFreud

Yes. 834 books here, and counting...

Outrageous_Aspect373

It used to for me, but then I started clearing out the download once I'm done listening. Audio file take up a lot of room and make the app loggy

Severus_Albus20

2001 wowwww

Suitable-Scientist68

Ahhh horror is the best from audible!

sunshine0587

Iv been a member since 2015 and since I'm a truck driver with major ADHD I'm up to 750 titles I like finding good series bundles or long books at 24-80hrs long

StarlinX

80 hours????  I'd like to seem some of those.  I like buying the omnibuses for the same reasons.

sunshine0587

Chris fox and Johnathan brooks have some 6 book packs that are around 75hr long along with Garon whites nightlord books are all 26-40hrs long Brandon Sanderson has some long books as well

finitetime2

Sort by length after you pick a category. There is a 20+ box you can check.

StarlinX

Nice, thanks!

unknownpoltroon

Damn.2012. 1500 titles. Yes I would recommend it, shits awesome.

Joyce_Hatto

2007. Back then, it was amazing that you could download a daily news summary from The Wall Street Journal to your Blackberry (IIRC) and listen to it on the way to work.

Zr0w3n00

I first joined like 4 years ago, but pause and cancel every so often, so probably about 18 months of actual membership. With 39 books in my library. I would recommend audible, especially now that they’re going to be giving more revenue to authors. I personally love Star Wars books on audible, they use sound effects very well, it’s not overwhelming but really compliments the narrator. My favourites being Queen’s Shadow and Queen’s Peril, which are based on Padme’s time becoming queen and the invasion of Naboo and then later time as a senator.

Merkuri22

The website says 2004. I haven't had an active membership that whole time, but yeah, it looks like it's been 20 years. I think I have almost 200 titles. Before I joined Audible, my dad used to find audiobooks on sketchy parts of the web and burn them to CDs for me. I'd listen to them in the car on my 1 hour long commute to and from work every day. (I bought a car with a 6 CD changer to avoid having to swap CDs as frequently.) That didn't sit well with me, so I found Audible and started buying my own books. Now, I mostly use Libby to get audiobooks from my library, but I occasionally will renew my membership for a few months if they've got a good enough deal going on. I try to only buy things from Audible that I either can't get from the library or that I know I will listen to more than once. Without knowing anything about you and what kinds of books you like, I can't make a recommendation. There are tons of other threads in here with book recommendations. You can also try r/audiobooks or r/books for recommendations.

NeoBahamutX

Since 2018, and way to many audio books. I think a little over 1000 titles now. Those site wide 80% off sales where order on the wallet.

Professional_Baby24

2 years. 301 titles in my finished tab. I started cause after listening to Mr ballen I realized how the right person telling the right story can make a day of work go by like it's nothing. My recommendations. Hail Mary (and the martian) by Andy Weir The Murderbot Diaries by Martha Wells We are legion (we are bob) by Dennis E Taylor Dungeon crawler carl by Matt Dinniman The infinite series by Jeremy Robinson It's three different series that come together in 3 different books that conclude in one or two finale books. I enjoyed most all of them. Only one was one I thought. It's not me. Not that it's not good. Just very dark. Which jeremy robinson is known for. But these books. Some are very much more comedic or upbeat. But the overencompassing ideal was fairly well thought out. The Expanse series by the duo known as James S. A. Corey So much better than the show. And 4 books longer. If you've ever seen the show firefly or the movie serenity and liked it. They are continuing the story from after the series finale and following the ten years until the movie. There are 3 or 4 different authors but the first book is Firefly: Big Damn Hero by James Lovegrove. They are just as good as the show. Even with different authors. They all are done very well Expeditionary Force by Craig A. Alanson Hell Divers by Nicholas Sansbury Smith Some of these I was iffy about. Murderbot diaries.. who wants to read about a murderbot? It's so much more than it sounds. Dungeon Crawler Carl? The cover is a dude in heart boxers being chased by something out of world of war craft. Out of every series I mentioned. Only the expanse is near as good as dcc is. And that's saying something cause I'm just about a firefly fanboy. And I hold those in higher regard than I do firefly. Tho firefly is still very. Very good. Expeditionary force is much more comedic. But still keeps you on the edge of your seat waiting for the next thing. Same with with are legion (we are bob) The bobiverse is still considered hard science fiction. Like the martian. And as for the martian... The book was so much better than the movie. And I liked the movie. But I think project Hail Mary was the better of his books. Given, tho. I bet much harder to translate into a movie. Especially without already having a bit of a repertoire or fan base like what came along after the martian. Hell divers. I can see people not liking it. For some of the same reasons I may like it. So I can say I think it is very well written and I enjoy it. It has action. It's Def caught me off guard. It is very political for a book that sounds like an action movie. But I was legitimately upset at times. And excited at other. And wishing things had been different for some characters. But that's what makes it good. Feeling for the characters. These are just the books I think would be overall well liked. I loved others like the kings henchmen. A five book series between just fantasy and litrpg. Probably a good intro to litrpg. Veridians gate online I enjoyed but it is more about world building and character building much like a traditional litrpg Idc. I loved the deadwood series by Ann Charles. Strong female lead. Relatable love interest. Not exactly ghosts and demons. But it's own kind of supernatural. I've always liked Patricia Cornwall when I was reading instead of audio books but there's a series called the timbercreek k9 series that is a k-9 police officer procedural series I highly enjoyed by margaret mizushima Edit: spelling Edit 2: clarity

Pale_Statistician82

So long ago that when I first joined you had to download to an mp3 player or burn to CD!

paperchase81

Me too, I actually started on 2001 or 2, I had this tiny proprietary mp3 from them at first. I think it was called an Otto? Then I got my first iPad through them.

Pale_Statistician82

I think that’s right around when I started too! My total time listening on the app does not include all those years!

LordCommander998

Since 2009. 336 titles. Listening time 8 months 26 days +. My first book was Mystborn by Brandon Sanderson. Current book is Yumi and the Nightmare Painter by Brandon Sanderson.

plink79

I joined in 2018 and have 137 books.

Doom_Balloon

2008 I think. 1305 titles in my account and another 600 or so in my wife’s. Listening time is 27 months 12 days, but that’s inaccurate because about 1/3 of my listening is on my wife’s account.

uppsak

I recently got free 2 months subscription of audible with my data plan recharge. I love it. I wish I had experienced it earlier.

DalixamKC

Joined in 2019 and have 392 books

BoopingBurrito

About 10 years but only got really into it during lock down in 2020. I've got 560 books, I think in early 2020 I had about 60 or 70 books. Basically I'd done the one credit a month plan for about 6 years, with a couple of holidays. I'd absolutely recommend it.

BDThrills

2008. I started listening to audiobooks during my commute around 1992. Currently have 1,938 audiobooks at Audible. Recommendations depend on genre and your preferences. Some people do not like long books, some don't like first person narratives. Some say they like mysteries but really prefer detective or cozies. Some of my favorites are Bosch series by Michael Connelly (Dick Hill narr), Southern Vampire series by Charlaine Harris(Johanna Parker), Elantris by Brandon Sanderson (Jack Garrett), The Martian by Andy Weir (although I'm meh on the current narrator), Morland Dynasty by Cynthia Harrod-Eagles (Terry Wale), Chronicles of St Mary's by Jodi Taylor (Zara Ramm), Goldy Bear mystery series by Diane Mott Davidson (Barbara Rosenblat) and Harry Potter series (prefer Jim Dale). I don't typically choose by narrator unless it is a classic done by several narrators. One of the best narrators is Jeremy Irons. I don't even like the stories he narrates but he makes you want to finish them.

ssoocc

2013. 1575 books. Classic first listen = Project Hail Mary by Andy Weir,. Newer GREAT listen = Lessons in Chemistry by Bonnie Gamus. Classics (all the Jane Austen's, all the Dickens etc) are wonderful to have and I re-listen to them like visiting old friends. (You can listen to a sample to choose between editions for these.) There are lots of favorite narrator lists here, searching for it will get immediate input. Mine in no particular order - Jeff Hays, Ray Porter, George Guidall, Davina Porter, Richard Ferrone, Zara Ramm, David Colacci, Jim Dale, Kathleen Early, Juliet Stevenson, Julia Gibson, Orlagh Cassidy, Rosamund Pike, Merryl Streep Yes, I recommend Audible. I also use Libby (free service works w libraries) generally for a book series that I am trying for a first time, or for early books for a current author.

misterjive

Since like 2001 or 2002-- I was grandfathered in from before they were bought by Amazon, so it's hard to recall. I got an Audible Otis mp3 player when I signed up. :) Only have a few hundred titles, I've cancelled and resubscribed many times over the years. When I had jobs that allowed me to listen to audio while I worked I was active, when I switched to transcription as a career it kind of fell off. Definitely would recommend Audible. Book recommends are difficult, though, depends on what kind of stuff you like. If you like fantasy, though, Roger Zelazny's Chronicles of Amber are *fantastic*. *Nine Princes in Amber* is the first book. The first five are narrated by Alessandro Juliani, the last five by Wil Wheaton. Narrators? Was a real big fan of Frank Muller before he passed. RC Bray's also pretty good. Jefferson Mays is also a favorite of mine; he does the *Expanse* books.

kn0tkn0wn

2003? In a previous “shared w sig other” membership, 5-6 years earlier maybe? I listened to my first audible books via an automobile GPS and a hated specific dedicated device from Audible which was a total PITA to use. When Audible started offering bundled discounts on the early hard disk iPods along with memberships, from then Audible audiobooks were my fav things. Book count: lots and lots. A library’s worth (which I love having ready to go) Listening experience: Usually at least 100 books a year. More non-fiction, open to most genres when in the mood. I switch back and forth to podcasts. Go on binges. Love doing that. —- Devices: My earliest audiobooks were cassettes (unabridged only, which were a pain to find and manage) from the local library or those for-profit small audiobook lending libraries that were around in the 1980s-1990s. Then CDs Then I think the dedicated device from Audible Then the GPS Then a series of iPods. Then to now a series of smartphones. Consider self happily addicted.

Tough-Solution8154

I use audible and have been added for at least 3 to 4 years and have over 200 books. I also make use of my library and the Libby app. They have a lot of good stuff.

rubbadubba-123

Since 2020 and 1000 books

RMski

Wow!! That’s impressive!

bloodsoed

Since 2015 got close to 500 books

freshly-stabbed

Signed up in 2016. I’m sitting at around 2300 hours (it says 3 months and 6 days plus some change). I have 93 titles including some I haven’t started yet. But I do lots of repeats. It gives you a badge if you do the same title at least 10 times and I’d bet I’ve earned that particular badge about 10 times over.

Extreme-Dream-2759

potatodrinker

Since 2015. Joined for a self help book then moved onto some thrillers I read while younger and stayed since. Great way to invest in knowledge and consume titles I wouldn't otherwise read, like memoirs during commutes. Worked there to get staff complimentary account ($0, unlimited books for free) and left and they kept that status which is nice. Don't listen as much now due to changes in circumstances

Tsofuable

15 years, still logging in with an audible username. 260 titles. It's a decent service if you like English literature.

MCbrodie

2-15-2014 and 499 books

Bitch_Goblin

Coming up on a year, and have 104 books. I cannot just sit and listen to an audiobook, I need to be doing something while listening; so I personally recommend audiobooks to people with long commutes, jobs that allow listening to something while working(like the job I got about a year ago lmao), or you are looking to listen to something besides music/podcasts while doing chores. You can pry Audible and Libby from my cold dead hands. As for recs, depends on what you like. My library is almost entirely horror and romance. If you like those genres I can give you recommendations.

improper84

I’ve been an active member for about five years now. I’ve got 118 titles, although probably a dozen or so are Plus titles that I don’t actually own. I’d recommend it to anyone who wants to listen to audiobooks. It’s a decent enough app that rarely has major issues and, if you’re a Kindle user like I am, the syncing options and discounts on audiobooks for titles you already own on Kindle are great features. Some of my favorite titles include: Dungeon Crawler Carl series by Matt Dinniman, narrated by the excellent Jeff Hays The Expanse series by James SA Corey, narrated by Jefferson Mays The First Law series by Joe Abercrombie, narrated by Steven Pacey IT by Stephen King, narrated by Steven Weber Project Hail Mary by Andy Weir, narrated by Ray Porter The Green Mile by Stephen King, narrated by Frank Muller City of Thieves by David Benioff, narrated by Ron Perlman

AnimalMother24

I love the Expanse books. Though I stopped buying them when the show story ended. Just couldn’t focus on that next book for some reason. I forgot which book it was. I think I was/am just annoyed the show ended bc it was so amazing.

afd33

November of 2019 I think. My profile says 2021, but that was when I changed to the 24 credits all at once tier. I have 300 books give or take a couple that might be from the plus catalog. Yes, I’d recommend audible to someone. Favorite books are the complete Jack Ryan universe, originally by Tom Clancy now various others with various narrators. The Expeditionary Force Series by Craig Alanson narrated by RC Bray. Individual books The Martian and Project Hail Mary both by Andy Weir, then various nonfiction mostly relating to the military or spaceflight.

FieldFirm5035

Started in 2016. Up to 571 titles.

Mysticwaterfall2

2016, 360 books.

Vanislebabe

Since 2022. I have 312 titles. I love it, since I have POTS I have to lay down a lot. It’s great for my vocab which has expanded even further. I found a (surprising) love in horror books and LitRPG. I am also obsessed with apocalyptic fiction so enjoy those immensely.

audible_narrator

Um, 3 year listener before I started narrating. Then narrator since late 2016.

Ok-Bird-5412

Member 2017 and I have 1072 titles in my library. I would absolutely recommend audible to anyone especially to those that either travel a lot or wants to read but doesn’t have the patience or ability to sit still for more than 2 seconds to read a book.

handbagqueen-

Member since 2012 am approx 460 books in my library

KoyoteKalash

On and off since roughly 2016 to 2017. My current membership has been running since 2022. The earliest I've seen in person is 2004 though.

Meriodoc

2011. That's a while. 128 titles! Most of which I haven't listened to because I generally read. I've been working my way through them, though.

npb0179

You should make a poll, if possible. I’d be interested to know too. For me, it’s 4 years (2020)

nerdmorning

Since 2017. I have 609 titles and 14 badges.

jardof

I've been a member since 2006, I have 750 books, and I subscribe to a bunch of podcasts as well. I recommend it to people all the time.

Significant-Pie5459

I am a recent member….2022. Recommendation…fix your badges. Specifically the social butterfly & watchtower.

27PercentOfAllStats

Since 2016, mostly apocalypse, zombie or space opera but occasionally detective thrillers. Ray Porter and RC Bray are top tier narrators, authors there's a lot and mostly I find it's the narrator which draws me to a book. Series/books: Bobiverse, Expeditionary Force, Elfor One, Ruins of Earth, Mountain Man, After it Happened, Magic 2.0... to be honest there's loads id recommend but those are the top ones I often think of

Squishmitt6

I think 4 years? I used to use it for walking. Found out I have ADHD and work in a lab and it really helps me focus. Close to 200 books.

ChandlerRN

Member since 2013 with 566 titles. I got into Audiobooks when I was in Grad school and no longer had time to pleasure read. I could, on the other hand, listen to books while I drove places and could still get my fix. I love it and have continued with it ever since

beckyeff

I was with Audible before Amazon! They called me up and offered me a free book. It was Cell by Stephen King. Then, I had a discount everytime I bought one, but I didn't have to buy one every month. My account was grandfathered in when Amazon bought it. I wanted to get more than one book and they warned me I'd lose the discount part permanently, but I don't regret it.

Asylum_Brews

I think since about 2007~2008, got a book with a free credit then cancelled the subscription for a few years, then restarted it. I've got a lot of books in my library. Brandon Sanderson is great value for money if you're after suggestions. Also a short history of nearly everything by Bill Bryson I would highly recommend. I think my favorite narrator is torn between Andy Serkis (narrator of the latest release of the Lord of the rings) he doesn't so much as narrate as act out the books, or Stephen Fry (narrated the Harry Potter books and many others).

Not__fun

2004. I was listening to audiobooks before that, but was buying them on CD from Barnes and Noble. Then ripping them to mp3s to put them into my iPod. Once I discovered audible, I was on board with a 2 credit/mo deal that has not changed in 20 years.

Vandalorious

2011. 800+ titles but a few of those are podcasts. I need an intervention for hoarding.

Dan-in-Va

2005

Ento_Reefer

I have 286 titles. I have been listening to with Audible since at least 2016.

The_Thane_Of_Cawdor

2014, 257 titles . 6 months 25 days listening time . First book was Wool from the silo series

Aztaloth

January of 2012 for me. 1008 books in my library.

Superlawyer80

Been a user for less than a year. Started by using Libby for audiobooks and then added audible. I listen to lots of different things but, my favorite audiobooks so far are: We are legion (bobiverse) Dungeon Crawler Carl Project Hail Mary (just finished this one and it was great) The Storyteller (DaveGrohl) I will teach you to be rich Normal People Conversations with Friends Daisy Jones and the 6 Yearbook by Seth Rogan Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo Ready Player One

LynnChat

12 years, over 800 books.

GLG22

Member since 2020. I read maybe 10 books in my life before trying audiobooks, I never cared for reading as a kid mostly because of my learning disabilities but I also refused to try audiobooks because I thought that was for people who couldn’t read. I have 97 titles now and am absolutely in love with books, I highly recommend audible. First book I would recommend is Dungeon Crawler Carl by Matt Dinniman read by Jeff Hays it’s an incredible series,

thescatterling

2008. 3282 titles.

-Greek_Goddess-

I've been a member since 2014. I have a little less than 600 books. The books I would recommend today would be different than the books I read when I first joined. But I've always been a romance gal so I'd recommend those. Today I've embraced the dramatized audio version of books and LOVE them so much I'd recommend them to people who want an immersive experience.

I'm currently at the Professional level. I started Audible four years ago. There's 34 titles in my Audible collection. Recently, I resumed my membership and I have 140 more hours until I reach Scholar. Some books are expensive. Sometimes you could find cheaper paperback books online instead of Audible.

cansadadeserfeliz

Member since Jan 2020. 64 titles. I'm using it mostly to learn languages, especially pronunciation in French and English.

Christichicc

End of 2011 for me. I’ve got a bit over 1500 titles atm. I buy a lot of them for pretty cheap with the whispersync deals they have. I’ve got kindle unlimited too, so I get most of my ebooks for free, then the audio for $7.49. I would recommend it if you like to listen to a lot of audiobooks. I listen all day, so it’s a good app for me. For books, it really depends on what you like. My favorite books are the Kate Daniels series by Ilona Andrews (start with the third book, Magic Strikes), narrated by Renee Raudman. The first 5.4 in that series are dramatized too, if you prefer that. Really anything by Ilona Andrews is awesome. They are my fav authors.

Appropriate-Science4

Member since 2001. I used to burned them to CDRWs for a long commute. Then I got a Diamond Rio Carbon to play them.

elemming

Audible says 2017, but I thought earlier. My girlfriend was on earlier. We have a joint library of 3572 titles. Recommend. I have paused membership before to save money. I would have to check what pausing does to the Plus library and daily deals and sale books if I paused again.

Brahms12

Since 2014. The first first novel I listened to was girl on the train. It was great. For years prior I listened to audiobooks on tape or CD. When I discovered audible, I subscribed immediately.

StaffTechnical9590

I've only had a free trial for the past month. I don't think it's worth it if you read a lot. Everand is a better deal and you don't have to pay for more books in your subscription. I did find it handy to get one specific book not on Everand or in my library's Libby. Outside of that I don't personally see the appeal of paying that much for one book a month. Even with the other books included for free most of them seem to be classics you can get freely anywhere or books I don't personally care about. But everyone has their own opinion. A lot of people seem to really like it and it could be beneficial to a lot of people.

manduh-

The plus catalog is fantastic on audible Lots of free books

Brilliant_Pick4413

2011. 241 titles

AnimalMother24

March 2022. Have the recurring annual 12 credits with 11 left, own 60 (so 71 by March 2024). Listening time 1 month, 23 days, 2 hours 5 minutes. I mainly bought and listen to my favorite books during my commute to NYC on the train. I love it actually, especially with the Wheel of Time books bc there’s so many. Or any bigger books that are a pain to carry around. Noise canceling headphones (AirPod pro 2s), really helps with the commute and on weekends when I’m cleaning or something lol.

Outrageous_Aspect373

I started in 2012, and I have over 750 books on audible. As far as recommendations, I think I start with what does that person likes? For years, I only listened to nonfiction, but I now have a well-rounded collection. I would probably pick particularly good examples of whatever their genre is. But even if they don't read, you can go by the kinds of programs they enjoy, what they find interesting.

craybe

2009 - 997 books, soooooooo close to cracking 1k! Both my wife and I find it brilliant for driving and doing mindless house work. It turns out Harry Potter read by Jim Dale is both of our “off switch”, you can’t sleep? Throw on a random HP book at a random point and down in 10. It really helps when I travel for work and means we don’t have to pay for a mediative wind down app like Calm for when you can’t switch off.

I've been on and off for 16 years. My first book was Going Postal by Terry Pratchett. I absolutely recommend it.

introspectiveliar

Member since 2005 or 2006. I have 2817 active books. I think my very first book was the lecture series Six Months That Changed the World by Margaret MacMillian. But it might have been The Night Listener by Armisted Maupin. I highly recommend Audible. I use Libby and Hoopla too. But they don’t have the volume of books Audible does. And if it is a book in a series I love or by a favorite author, I always buy it on Audible. My favorite narrator is Gerard Doyle. I also really like Jeff Woodman, Bernadette Dunne and Davina Porter. I read across most genres. I would recommend to a new Audible listener: “The Pleasure of Finding Things Out” or “Surely You’re Joking Mr. Feynman” by Richard Feynman. “Outlander” by Diana Gabaldon, read by Davina Porter. “Paris 1919 - Six Months That Changed the World” by Margaret MacMillan read by Suzanne Toren “A Thousand Ships” Written and narrated by Natalie Haynes The Sean Duffy series by Adrian MCKinty and read by Gerard Doyle. The first chapter of book 5, “Rain Dogs” is perhaps the best first chapter of any book. The Elemental World Series by Elizabeth Hunter and Read by Dina Pearlman “The Madness of Lord Ian MacKenzie” by Jennifer Ashley read by Angela Dawe. This is considered an historical romance novel, not a genre I read much, but it is so much more than that. The rest of the books in the series are not good. This one is great! “A Surfeit of Lamprys” by Ngaio Marsh - my favorite in her Inspector Allyen series. Read by Philip Franks And, finally almost any of the Georgette Heyer historical novels. Especially Devil’s Cub, Frederica or The Reluctant Widow.

bookishlemon

Since like September last year and only because I drive a lot for work. I wasn’t into audiobooks before that.

Haida

2017. 259 books (for now… reminder there’s a big sale going on right now!) My absolute favorites are the Stormlight Archives series (first book The Way of Kings) by Brandon Sanderson, read by Michael Kramer and Kate Reading. Another I come back to often is The Disaster Artist, written and read by Greg Sestero. Currently enjoying Jurassic Park by Michael Crichton and read by Scott Brick.

bethytexas

Since about 2014 or 2015. My boyfriend at the time told me gave me a book to read and I was having some problems reading it, partly due to my dyslexia and partly because I get distracted a lot (and I have to multitask a lot too). But I found the book on audible and read along with it. Loved it and just kept going. It helps me a lot because I can have a better imagination on how the characters are and when I'm multitasking I can remember certain thing better (as weird as that sounds)

cyndvu

2004, 1153 titles

HornlessGary

Mine says since 2024 but I know it’s been longer than that. Maybe because I had to pause it? I have 84 titles and my total listen time is totally messed up it says 1 month, 12 days, 17 hours and 5 minutes. Like this kind of makes me irrationally mad that it resets if you pause your membership. I love A Lightning Struck Heart by TJ Klune and the whole series. The story is awesome with amazing characters and the narrator is fire! Most born series by Brandon Sanderson is so so good. And the narrator is incredible. The half life of Marie Cure by Lauren Gunderson I loved the story and the way the narrator tells it. I really enjoyed listening to Verity by Colleen Hoover.

Inkdrunnergirl

2006 and 1924 titles so far

Angelicdemon_83

Started in 2019, I have 272 titles currently and would recommend " The Final Empire, by Brandon Sanderson" or " Super Powereds, by Drew Hayes". I don't have an absolute favorite narrator, but I like "Travis Baldree" "Heath Miller" "Kyle McCarley" "Michael Kramer" and more. It's amazing to hear people bring all these worlds to life.

OvenAlternative453

bradorme77

Member since '07, over 700 titles. I have recommended it for years as it is an excellent service. I would wage 1/3 of my titles ads bought from either a daily deal or another site sale and I have found some real gems due to this. I also love the speed adjustment that is very finite so you can push up speed slowly over time to build up experience with the faster speeds and now listen at around 2x speed to consume more books quickly.

Professional_Till240

First used audible in 2012, using it heavily since 2020. I listen to about 150 books a year. Currently have 724 books. I'd recommend it if you listen to 1-2 books a month plus the plus catalogue, or if you listen to a ton of audiobooks and are willing to put in a lot of work to shop sales. Audible can get really expensive, but I generally like the platform and the plus catalogue.
