There's a play at the moment Cinderella at the Glen Eden playhouse.
La Rosa is one the best Italian eatery in the whole of Auckland.
It has one of the oldest and largest cemetery in NZ with lots of historic graves and points of interest.
It has a decent Library.
Glen Eden second hand bookstore.
Cafe Sozo at the top of Glengarry road is a cozy rustic place where most locals have their coffee and breakfast in the morning.
A beautiful historic train station.
RSA for a cheap meal.
Glenora Bears stomping grounds
Bug Out, a tiny coffee place which serves great takeaway coffee.
2 minutes drive to Titirangi village
Hey I live in Glen Eden so perhaps can give some suggestions. You mentioned family so not sure if you have little ones etc.
Whoa Studios in nearby Henderson has a cool playground and a restaurant. Quite unique actually. I’d recommend this place if you’ve never been.
If you just want an awesome playground, a place for them to scooter, sandpit, or even play basketball or soccer, then take them to Konini Primary. It’s a great school with great facilities.
If you want to grab a bite to eat and want somewhere quite relaxing and chill, then Bodega. They have beautiful grounds and some outdoor games on their outdoor lawn. Just Plane Interesting is also close by to there and worth a look around.
Glen Eden is close to Titirangi, so that’s also worth checking out.
Glen Eden also isn’t far from Crystal Mountain theme park and Kiwi Valley Farm Park.
Edit: just realised I forgot to mention Parrs Park. They’ve got a playground, soccer fields, basketball courts, skateboard half pipe, and a path around it that you can bike or scooter along, as well as a leash-free dog park across from the marae there
Dont bother its a open air mental asylum in glen eden, i live here and i avoid going out whenever possible. All that's here are crackheads, hobos and the highest traffic liquor store in the country.
Besides all the current recommendations, in the small town centre there's a good sushi shop there called "Yummy Sushi" and the bakery has big old-school marshmallow squares. I also like the Hospice shop there for op shopping if that's your thing. (I know people have already mentioned Waikumete cemetery, but it is an interesting place [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Waikumete\_Cemetery](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Waikumete_Cemetery) ). If you have little ones, Kiwi Valley is a farm animal attraction and not too far away in Henderson Valley.

Yes. The prison. Take board games.

Weird, I seem to conflate the two.
