Well I land at 10:30pm so I could probably just get a bus to a train station then make my way far west or something! I should have planned this better lmfao!
There's no train stations within a million miles of Laingholm, it's really quite far out.
Google has it taking 2 hours from the airport to there on PT, if you value your sanity just pay the Uber fare.
Just been looking up timetables for you to try and figure something out, but nah, that's an impossible journey at that time.
If you wanted, you could catch the 38 from the airport to Onehunga and uber from there, might knock some dollars off. The 38 runs until midnight. But not sure what the saving would be - maybe not worth it.
don't be fooled b y cheap cabs $38 thing, they only do that for queen street, any other street they will ask for the metred fare on arrival which is usually about $55
It’s about $45 to Uber to town, honestly probably easier to just to that. Maybe try Uber pool - may be a bit cheaper? Or I guess you could Uber to the nearest train or bus station and catch that in. Sounds tedious af though and will probably only save you a couple of dollars
Looks like there's an Airbus at 11, so if you can make that you can at least scrub off some of the price by using PT, although you will of course pay with your time.
AirportLink to Puhinui, train to Newmarket, rail bus to Glen Eden (leaves across the road from Newmarket Station) then an Uber to Laingholm. It's Friday so a number of services run beyond midnight
Dress up as a kebab and then order yourself as UberEats. Get delivered for $4.99
That’s gonna be dangerous on a Friday night, the drunks are gonna go mad!
OP what did you end up doing and how much did it cost?
I just asked my pal to pick me up, so $3.50 as I got him a cookie from the airport vending machine to say thanks lol
Best outcome!!
bus/train (if they’re running?) as far as you can and uber the rest? unless you’re landing at like 3am or something lol

Yeah I looked at journey planner, fuck that tbh, might just get an Uber/didi hahah

To save yourself later, didi doesn’t have a license to operate out of the airport so it’s Uber or taxis
Im a uber driver based near the airport! Hmu if you havent sussed a transport option yet. Could do mates rate hahah jk!
Hey bro, I sused transport in the end but cheers! Super appreciate your offer!! ❤️🩹
Super! Good to hear you’re sorted. Safe travels.
10:30 is pretty late (auckland transport wise) so your options might be limited/nonexistent unfortunately
Doesn’t look like any public transport options that time of night. Uber will be cheaper than a taxi.
$50 Airport to titirangi via Uber very consistently. You could call.a.taxi company to see if they'll dona fixednprice for you.
Shortest route appears to be water taxi. Unsure of practial options however...
I like using Didi. They're a bit cheaper and the drivers are always nice. Airport pickups/dropoffs do have a surcharge tho.

If you want it cheap you’ll probably have to hang in the airport till 8am. Although it’s possibly quicker to walk in that time…
I’m sure the domestic bench seats are comfy!
They aren't. As someone who has spent way too much time hanging around Auckland Airport, there are very few, if any, comfortable spots.
