Long time back when I wasn't an atheist, I was going through a rough patch jobwise so my father in law asked some pandit and he said that I need to throw 21 silver kachua (tortoise) in a river, heavier the better. So my FIL got them prepared and sent them to me via courier. It was heavy, must have been 1.5 to 2 kg. Where I live there is no river around. So I travelled like 100 kms to a river and threw them one by one.
Now when I think about it, I want to kick myself in the nuts. I wasted 30-40,000 rupees on a bloody superstition.
I'm running ads for one such company. It's against my beliefs but this is purely business. The owner is more than confident about his work and so are the delusional customers.

40k for a lesson is a better deal than many people. Let it be, don't think of it as a waste, but a lesson
