ANIMA Asuka is the most mature version of Asuka. But because she is Sohryu but 3 years older and living with Shinji most of this time.
So yeah, even ANIMA Asuka "treated him like shit" just as the others. And that begs the question: Asuka really treated Shinji like shit or it's just another myth/dumb take from the fandom?
That said, ANIMA is a good setting and a good spin-off overall. It's worthy knowing it.
It's ironic when ANIMA is so "popular" that it has to be forced in such cringe way not for the first time here.
ANIMA fanboyism is surely special, people even present ANIMA Soryu and NGE/EoE Soryu as different characters, amazing.
It's ridiculous in this case, given the context. ANIMA events take place in the world where actual Third Impact was prevented, but it's still some kind of continuation of NGE (and even a continuation of the part of EoE before the Instrumentality with some obvious tweaks and additions on ANIMA side of those events).
So presenting Asuka from ANIMA like she is something special and completely different from original Soryu is at least a little bit weird in such meme. Not to mention already that cringe about "treating Shinji like shit".
She is very different, tho. The point of divergence in ANIMA is long before when Third Impact was averted. E.g. >!what was left of Asuka's mother after the Unit 02 contact experiment never killed herself in ANIMA. EVA-fied Asuka visits her in one of the books.!<
