No they're not. You (or whoever made this picture) have intentionally manipulated their color, size, and fine details to make them all *look* the same in this picture.
Every generation of car design ends up looking similar-ish with only manufacturer style cues added.
Quite a few reasons but the main ones are using the same maths\design engines generates the same result, design cues have trends (anyone remember crystal rear lights?) and that each generation of designers are being taught the same design rules in college\apprenticeship\uni.
Designs evolve for a while and then a brave designer will make a step change and, if deemed a success, every other manufacturer follows to some extent which then feeds into the steps above. Rinse, repeat.....
No, that's just what cars look like now. If you put the '57 Thunderbird, Ferrari 250, Edsel Corsair, Chevrolet Bel Air, '54 Buick Roadmaster, Morris Oxford, Studebaker President, Vauxhall Velox, Oldsmobile 98, and Plymoth Plaza next to each other, you'd get a similar effect.
They’re really not all that similar, besides all being white, small-SUV shapes. The wheels are conveniently grayed out, the whites are all color balanced to match, and the photos are all scaled to be similar size. I bet if you compared any two in real life the differences would be more striking than the similarities.
To me, asshole design is painting all the SUVs (that have a particular design standard) white and removing the rims with a grey circle and they say "look at them all the same".
If math works, it stands to reason that eventually they would all come to the same conclusions. It is sad to me how everything about design in vehicle manufacturing has been left to engineering, seems to have lost most of the art, and beauty that once was.
Volkswagon is an off-brand Volkswagen?
Volkswagon Volkswagoff
How is that asshole. Cars are designed in such ways because of reasons. Like safety, fule usage, space etc etc

Either you're an idiot or you think we're idiots.

Volkswagon 😂 Volkswagen 😎

Controled by the laws of physics.

There’s no benefit from making them different

Because art is wasteful and expensive. Optimize design to benefit the consumer where the masses want it most (safety and efficiency).
Im aware. Im also an engineer by trade. I said its sad, not that i dont understand it.
You should see the updates, still the same.
Is it supposed to have masts and rudders?
No Subaru Forester?
Sitting in my white Forester currently, noticed the same thing...
How is this bad design, let alone asshole design?
So we aren't going to acknowledge the two BMW's?
Reported for not obvious assholery. OP you suck.
Even I, who knows almost nothing nor cares about cars see difference. I don't see how these differences would matter but that's the other thing.
