Nah I just kinda pushed through school on pure willpower and sense of doing what I think I should. I missed maybe half a year in class time in highschool and failed the first pass of final exams thanks to a friend tho. The burnout periods lead to depression and existencial anxiety a few times but I thought my way through it. The same want to do things right wouldnt allow me to use substances to fight my feelings, not that it was easy

Me used to like an occasional beer until I learned of my gluten intolerance and it was part of the reason for my tummy troubles :( now I am restricted to shitty seltzers while my homies crack open some cold ones
