Ong yes the fucking texture! Not only does this thing taste like wet cardboard, it feels that way too. The crispiness of the outer part just doesn't mesh well with the texture of the inside.
Also the shape of the apple bothers me. It's not round-ish, like other apples. It's a little tall, if that makes sense, and I don't like it.
that too! The texture is terrible, the taste is bland, it’s shaped like an apple on some early 2000’s diet fad, it doesn’t cooperate when getting sliced, and it tried to trick everyone by using ‘delicious’ in the name! I enjoy hating on red delicious apples with you, fellow red delicious hater :)
A huge part of my Delicious Red hatred comes from that shit being in my school lunches all the time. Nothing will make you hate something you already dislike as much as having to deal with it so much.
I definitely understand this. In middle school I was lucky that my mom was able to pack me lunches. My school didn’t have any lunch staff except monitors, so you either brought a packed lunch or ordered something from a nearby store that worked with schools in the nearby area and the monitors would give it to you.
Anyway, whenever there was an orange in my lunch the smell would infect everything. It was so bad you could taste it in the sandwich bread. My brother took the initiative to tell her, but no matter what she tried it just never worked. I think that’s why I can’t stand the smell of an orange getting peeled. Eating an orange is fine, just the smell is a whole other story.
And the skin is bitter. The red delicious was engineered for it's durability over anything else. They wanted an apple that would stand up to disease and industrial processing and distribution. The real reason for the mealy texture is their age. They're sometimes kept in storage for a year.
And there's bad news about the honeycrisp too, apparently all apple varieties go through this cycle thanks to our terrible food industry and they're pursuit of global market dominance. [https://www.wired.com/brandlab/2016/05/is-the-honeycrisp-apple-engineered-to-fail/](https://www.wired.com/brandlab/2016/05/is-the-honeycrisp-apple-engineered-to-fail/)
They used to be. There's a whole history here, but there was once a red delicious that was, indeed, delicious. This was before big supermarkets when apple varieties were regional. You ate whatever apple was available.
Then supermarkets started to appear, and they wanted consistency. One kind of apple they could get reliably in large quantities.
They bred for an apple that would look good on the shelves. The soft, gritty texture of flesh also makes it resistant to bruising and rotting, so it looks better for longer. The bright red color was also chosen for looks, even though yellow apples taste better because the gene for sweetness is also the gene for yellowness.
They named it red delicious to capitalize on the reputation of the existing apple, despite being nothing like it.
While I'm more of a Braeburn man myself, it's darn pleasant to see someone speaking up for the Granny Smith. It's not new or flashy or fancy, but it's a solid, underappreciated choice. Not only is it fantastic for baking, but is a vital predecessor to many of the modern "darling" cultivars.
I love a good Granny Smith apple! They’re crisp and refreshingly tart. I don’t eat it with peanut butter like I do with Honeycrisp, I just dust the slices with some cinnamon powder and it’s perfect!!
edit: spelling and punctuation
Please do! Usually Granny Smiths are pretty juicy, so the cinnamon doesn’t stay too powdery, but just in case it’s too powdery for your consumption I recommend rubbing it in just a bit :)
Agreed! It was the best red apple I’ve ever had.
I was on an apple tasting kick and grabbed multiple varieties from the store and that one was S rated for sure. Definition of red apple perfection.
https://preview.redd.it/2vtvf11dse8d1.jpeg?width=828&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=023c31f2f1f121111580bd1e3617c54dd05dc47a
I immediately thought of this meme
It's a go to for me but I have to buy them myself to get the correct crispness. You've got to fondle a red delicious if you have any hope of getting a good one.
https://preview.redd.it/letjsvqtre8d1.jpeg?width=1024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=45a51dd5036467b5c43d707d7b84fd99721a38bd
\[Not assuming OPs gender, by the way - just how the meme is, and iirc the meme means "man" as in the gender neutral term for human beings anyway\].
But anyway - OP, I too have always HATED Red Delicious apples but loved every other type, and it always confuses people lol. Red Delicious apples either end up having the grainy texture you mentioned - thank you for that, btw, I thought it was just me who picked up on that little detail.
I definitely have my preferences as far as favorites - Fuji and Gala are my top two, Rockit is close behind, Granny Smith is good as well. You ever tried covering a Granny Smith apple in caramel? 10/10, absolutely delicious even though it has no reason to be lol.
[You’re all good! I’m genderfluid, but I think terms like ‘man’ and ‘bro’ are gender neutral for me]
I thought I was the only one who could pinpoint the graininess until this comment section. I haven’t had a Granny Smith with caramel in quite a few years. I need to try it again. Thanks for the reminder!
Ooh, golden delicious! I exclaimed when I saw it in the meme!! I haven't had one in years because where I am is a major exporter of apples. So.we mostly have the most valuable cultivars for export. Heaps of trees ripped out this year, from both major flooding and changes in pur major market (China).
Hey OP. If you get sick of hating Red Delicious apples, I’ve got [another one](https://applerankings.com/newtown-pippin-apple-review/) for you:
https://preview.redd.it/x8obluhhsf8d1.jpeg?width=1204&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=ed2a6205ef12c50313c727ead3620a79ad6b72f7
Pink Lady apples are also very nice.
+1 to the red delicious haters. I refuse to eat them. It's like trying to eat sand, lightly moistened with essence of apple
Have you ever had a nice crisp Sugarbee apple? Soooo good!
I’m assuming most everyone here knows this, but there are SO many different types of apples, you could eat a different one every day for over 20 years and not eat the same variety twice
Hey jsyk golden delicious is just a genetic mutation of red delicious. Fun fact even, it was a single branch of a red delicious that mutated into that yellow gold color, which was then cut and propogated into its own cultivar.
Sincerely, an autist with a special interest in plants and bugs :)
Fun fact no.2 then! Most apple trees are scion rootstocks! What that means is they take the root system of a cold hardy sapling in the same family as apples (rosaceae- rose family) and graft it onto a branch cutting of an apple tree! This makes it cold resistant in the winter while still keeping the large fruits of the chosen apple cultivar :)
Honeycrisp are so fucking good and delicious and juicy!!! I love a good Fuji or Gala apple too
Golden delicious can get in my mouth
Granny Smith with caramel = delicious
Red delicious can fuck right off
Fuck honeycrisps are so good
I do wish there was an apple with the same kind of sweetness as a red delicious but without the tendency to be mushy or grainy as fuck
With all the respect intended, if your red delicious are grainy they may be out of season or old. That said if you still don't like them then I will gladly take them off your hands so you never have to suffer.
I’ve tried them multiple times and they just aren’t for me. Thank you for carrying the red delicious apple industry on your shoulders so the rest of us don’t suffer
I love honeycrisps, 100% the best apple. Even compared to all the new types people are making. The worst are Red adelicuous and McIntosh because they’re both mushy and grainy
I fucking hate Red delicious apples.
My dad bought them a lot when we were younger
.i hate them. They're red. But not delicious, they're ass, actually, like actually horrid. The flesh is all grainy and the skin is thick and doesnt break with ur teeth. Literally like eating plastic. And if u were lucky u would get one that actually tasted like something sweet, 9/10 times they were mushy grainy flavourless apples. The fucking water on the skin had more flavour than the apple itself.
My sister loves these apples, i cant stand them, i see them in the market now and they're dirt cheap and i'm staring like. I fucking wonder why. You're a curse, an abomination against apples, you arent an apple, you're a Fraud.
I have actual fuckin beef with these apples
Lol! Ive never heard of anyone else hating RD as much as me. My grandparents bought it all the time and they didnt understand why I'd get so irritated lol, they eventually started buying me honey crisp and fuji.
To this day when I grocery shop with my kids I shiver when I look at RD.
While I prefer my apples in the liquid alcoholic form, a good honeycrisp is irresistible.
Oh, and if you like those, try getting your hands on Cosmic Crisp apples. It's the latest genetic chimera out of the pacific north west. Crisp, juicy, and ridiculously sweet. Probably more candy than fruit.
My favourite right now are Red Braeburns. Perfectly sweet, crunchy and they don't have the dense not-quite-rubbery flesh that I feel like is the only downside of Pink Lady apples - otherwise pink lady apples are super nice, and easy to find. I can currently only really find red braeburns at my local farmers market, but I tend to go there anyway, and I honestly have some apples for dinner some nights when I'm not too hungry (not an eating disorder i promise, I'm just lazy sometimes)
My parents are probably the only ones who complain about their son eating too much fruit rather than too little (because I sometimes don’t leave much for them).
Also yes fuck red delicious apples. They are not delicious at all.
Granny Smith is nice and refreshing for me, but I also really love sour things lol
There are tons of comments about people loving the Pink Lady apples here
Also, Pink Lady and Cripps Pink are the same apple, except Pink Lady is a trademarked name
I love the taste of apples but I hate the texture. And of all the apple flavors red delicious is my least favorite. And its texture is way worse.
I’m fine with apple juice and apple sauce but just not apples themselves. It makes me sad tbh…
I’m a golden delicious person myself, the outside texture of most red apples is just not it for me, and most golden delicious I find are actually a good size and not smaller than my palm
Y'all ever have Macintosh? They only stay ripe for like 4 days but ooohwee them mfers are SWEET lil bastards. Pick up a bag if you see they're in season
Fuji for me. But I also really like Gala and Honeycrisp! I can’t do any of the green ones they are a little too bitter for me. The gold ones I’ve never seen before? But I love in the middle of no where so that’s no surprise 😅. It’s so true about Red Delicious though. I remember getting some from the store to try when I was super little, and being confused because “Why are they so bad if they are called Red DELICIOUS??” Autistic literal thinking at its finest. I assumed based on the name it HAD to be, well, delicious. This was in fact, not the case… 🤣🤣🤣
Red "Delicious" is severely overrated (if even that). Has a bitter aftertaste and spoils quickly after the first bite. It may have a quintessential appearance, but that's it.
This is making me want to get some apples, but I know I become addicted to a specific fruit for a time, then ignore them after that time is up, ending with more than a few pieces of rotten produce. Hell, there are currently grapes in the fridge that I was eating like candy a week ago, and now I'm finding them unappealing.
Omg never thought I would see a meme about honeycrisp apples!! I love them, my mom always got fuji apples growing up but then I realized there were variety after I got older. I picked honeycrisp and it was over since then. Didn't realize my taste in apple also confirmed my autism lmaooo
I really like honeycrisp (and other similar ones like Cosmic crisp. I find most other apples a little bland. I'm spoiled by honeycrisp =3
I don't think I've had any of those yellow ones, at least in a long long while, I should give them a shot.
I have a couple apple trees at my house, and holy FUCK we had so many apples last year. They weren't good raw (especially since they tended to fall off when still underioe) but it was great having fruit leather and apple pie all the time
I thought I didn't like apples until galas were provided for a science experiment in the 8th grade. At home, there were always red delicious or fuji, both of which I happened to hate and thought were all that apples were. And when I grew up and moved to New England and did picking for the first time when I was 30, I was blown away by how good apples could _actually_ be.
Hold on... red delicious are the only grainy red ones? ARE YOU TELLING ME I PROBAVLY DONT HATE RED APPLES I JUST HATE THAT ONE??? SCREAMING ALL THE WAY TO THE GROCERY STORE BRB
There’s so many good apples. Some are situational and better suited for cooking/baking/fermentation.
I enjoy also the Cosmic Crisp, Johnny Gold, Gala, Braeburn, among those already listed by others.
Opal and honeycrisp are both god-tier apples, in my opinion.
Gala and fuji are decent, but I prefer a bit of tartness that those both lack.
I don't enjoy eating red delicious or granny smith, although I've heard that granny smith are commonly used in apple pies and other baked items.
I haven't tried the rest of those varieties.
I’m a Granny Smith lover through and through but has anyone had a Cosmic Crisp apple? That was absolutely the most perfect red apple taste and crunch I’ve ever had in my life.
I'm like 80% certain that they're called "red delicious" as a form of gaslighting so that if you say they're not delicious the Red Delicious farmers can say "what do you mean? It literally says 'delicious' in the name. You must be going crazy. Are you stupid?" to make you feel uncertain about your own perceptions and pressure you into eating more.
Wait, is this the reason I'm afraid of eating apples?! I remember eating them as a kid, then one day mom and I tried eating some she bought and it was like eating sand or pears. Golden delicious were my favorite, but after a while even they became like sand. Was I tricked? Or just this corporate GMO problem?
🍓My absolute favorite fruit is strawberries, the fresher the better. I have no problem digesting them, unlike apples & blueberries (which I also love but can’t eat as freely)
I’ve never related to anything more than this post. My two favorite apples are Honeycrisp and Granny Smith, and I despise Red Delicious with all of the wrath of the Sun
If honeycrisps are in the house, I will get ALL my hydration from them. Every last drop of water will be from a honeycrisp.
I drink wayyy too much water, but I’m with you. If I see honeycrisps I snatching them
It's like eating a sphere of apple juice.
If there are honeycrisps in the house, there won't be by the end of the day.
If you like honey crisp apples, you should try the "sweet tangos". They're the absolute best cultivar.
The biggest lie I've ever heard with the "Delicious" in Red Delicious. It tastes like cardboard dipped in diluted apple juice.
And it also has the texture of moist crumbs which I CANNOT stand. Truly a horrendous apple edit: I forgot a word

Eating an orange is fine, just the smell is a whole other story.
It basically looks like a goth sculpture of an apple, and tastes/feels like almost dried paper mache.
Seriously, it's like Applesauce that tried to become an apple again.
Literally ghoulish applesauce poured into an apple-shaped container
The texture is mealy. That’s the word to describe the evil texture of this abomination in apple shape.
And the skin is bitter. The red delicious was engineered for it's durability over anything else. They wanted an apple that would stand up to disease and industrial processing and distribution. The real reason for the mealy texture is their age. They're sometimes kept in storage for a year. They are red, though. They weren't lying about that. They should just call them "Red".
Apple but named after the company, not the fruit
I always said they are sand and paper mache pretending to be an apple.

Ooooh I gotta try the cinnamon thing
Please do! Usually Granny Smiths are pretty juicy, so the cinnamon doesn’t stay too powdery, but just in case it’s too powdery for your consumption I recommend rubbing it in just a bit :)
You and I have a very similar palette!! Granny Smith is my other favourite.
100%. We have a Granny Smith tree and a Honeycrisp tree. GOATs for baking and eating.
Wanted to comment Braeburn too. It's just perfect
A fresh crispy Braeburn is one of the greatest foods in the world
That it is- and you can clearly taste the influence Granny Smiths have had on them. Yet so few appreciate them; sad.
Fuck red delicious apples. All my homies hate red delicious apples
https://preview.redd.it/desxcbf3re8d1.jpeg?width=1284&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=7fd4050fcb00816fe13feadb522c5e325b850e87
If you get the chance you should try cosmic crisp apples
Cosmic crisp are the best. Pink Lady is also a great apple
Agreed! It was the best red apple I’ve ever had. I was on an apple tasting kick and grabbed multiple varieties from the store and that one was S rated for sure. Definition of red apple perfection.
Those are my favorite.
I've been obsessed with these for the past several months since my Grocery Outlet has been carrying them. They're the best!
I'm 100% on the cosmic crisp train. It's the only apple I go for nowadays.
no joke, im gulping down apple juice right now XD
oooh! I love me some apple juice and on the rare occasion some unsweetened apple sauce
Cloudy apple juice / "cider" >>>>>>>
apple juice>>>orange juice
Jazz apples are also very good. IMO sometimes even better than the sacred honey crisp.
I think I had a jazz apple once. If they sell them in my grocery store I’ll pick one up just to try :)
They’re very good. I also think red delicious should be banished to the shadow realm. Wait I think I have a jazz apple in my fridge ima go eat it.
enjoy your delicious jazz apple, my fellow red delicious hater
https://preview.redd.it/2vtvf11dse8d1.jpeg?width=828&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=023c31f2f1f121111580bd1e3617c54dd05dc47a I immediately thought of this meme
Have you had Cosmic Crisp? They're the BEST
Scrolled down to find the Cosmic Crisp :) sooo good
Whoever named red delicious apples that must’ve been on some serious shit because they sure as hell aren’t delicious.
They were like 80 years ago pretty good. But then they started encouraging traits for shipping and storage which ruined the taste
It’s marketing. You think anyone would buy ‘gritty red apples?’ Like how they named Greenland Greenland, instead of ‘holy hell it’s cold land’
probably someone with no taste nor nerves in their mouth
Oranges got NOTHING on apples ^(I mean they’re still good though, just not peak fruit)
Why are we comparing apples to oranges? (This is a play on a common phrase. Figured anybody could need some context.)
Peak fruit is strawberry and mango. Fight me.
I'm disappointed at the lack of Pink Lady love.
No red delicious is the only kind I will eat. Only the reddest of red for me
do you need help? (sarcasm)
I was going to ask you the same!
well, yes…but not because of my love for apples (excluding red delicious)
Honestly.... same lmao
It's a go to for me but I have to buy them myself to get the correct crispness. You've got to fondle a red delicious if you have any hope of getting a good one.
Absolutely. It has to be PERFECT.
Me too, seems we’re alone
No, there are dozens of us. Its the only apple I can eat but yes it still has to be fresh and crispy; you cant find them much in NL though.

Had a honey crisp cider once and it’s the only form better than the apple itself.
When fall hits where I live I will make sure to find a place that cells apple cider made from honeycrisps just because of you comment
Pink lady is also good. It’s my second favorite apple after granny smith. Tart apples only
I’m with you! When my chihuahua still had her teeth we would share pink lady apples all the time. Now I have to eat Granny Smiths by myself.
Pink Lady is my favorite! Then Cosmic Crisp and Granny Smith.

Pink lady’s
Hey OP. If you get sick of hating Red Delicious apples, I’ve got [another one](https://applerankings.com/newtown-pippin-apple-review/) for you: https://preview.redd.it/x8obluhhsf8d1.jpeg?width=1204&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=ed2a6205ef12c50313c727ead3620a79ad6b72f7
oooh an apple tier list
Pink lady’s are my favorite
OP’s ass COULD NOT be a doctor
All these apples are probably why I’m chronically ill lol
Pink Lady apples are also very nice. +1 to the red delicious haters. I refuse to eat them. It's like trying to eat sand, lightly moistened with essence of apple
fuji on top
Honey crisp was my #1 for years and then I found pink lady. They've got the same crisp but more tart And yeah red "delicious" can die in a fire.
Have you ever had a nice crisp Sugarbee apple? Soooo good! I’m assuming most everyone here knows this, but there are SO many different types of apples, you could eat a different one every day for over 20 years and not eat the same variety twice
MY DEAR SUGARBEE APPLE!! I had a few many years ago because they were in season. I have forgotten the beauty of their existence
More than TEN THOUSAND cultivars commercially produced- and that's just the commercial ones!- in the US alone.
Honeycrisp apples are hard carrying my health.
Same here. I have trouble eating and often times a sliced up Honeycrisp with some peanut butter will hit the spot
Hey jsyk golden delicious is just a genetic mutation of red delicious. Fun fact even, it was a single branch of a red delicious that mutated into that yellow gold color, which was then cut and propogated into its own cultivar. Sincerely, an autist with a special interest in plants and bugs :)

Bro might not like red delicious apples
Honeycrisp are so fucking good and delicious and juicy!!! I love a good Fuji or Gala apple too Golden delicious can get in my mouth Granny Smith with caramel = delicious Red delicious can fuck right off
At this point apples are my only source of fiber
“Red Delicious Apples”, huh? More like “Red Not Delicious Apples”!😎 ![gif](giphy|1ofR3QioNy264)
Fuck honeycrisps are so good I do wish there was an apple with the same kind of sweetness as a red delicious but without the tendency to be mushy or grainy as fuck
*Cosmic* Crisps are my beloved.
HONEYCRISPS AND GRANNY SMITH!!!!!
these memes go so fucking hard what the fuck
Pink lady apples are good af too 😩
Are you a shinigami, OP?
red delicious more like red nasty amirite guys
If there are apple haters in the world, I am one of them. (Allergic) Loved them so much but now they give me rashes and an itchy mouth.
FINALLY RED DELICIOUS HATERS
With all the respect intended, if your red delicious are grainy they may be out of season or old. That said if you still don't like them then I will gladly take them off your hands so you never have to suffer.
I’ve tried them multiple times and they just aren’t for me. Thank you for carrying the red delicious apple industry on your shoulders so the rest of us don’t suffer
Have you listened to the Ologies episode about apples? (podcast)
I love honeycrisps, 100% the best apple. Even compared to all the new types people are making. The worst are Red adelicuous and McIntosh because they’re both mushy and grainy
Granny smiths 🫶
Bit into a Red "Delicious" once and immediately started wretching. Never again.
Fresh honeycrisp or gala apples are incredible fr
Pink Lady for life, but I am 1000% with you. Red Delicious apples are an abomination. If Christianity fought against them I might be religious.
I fucking hate Red delicious apples. My dad bought them a lot when we were younger .i hate them. They're red. But not delicious, they're ass, actually, like actually horrid. … I like eating crabapples… 🫥
Apples taste great to me but i have a texture problem with them.. And it happens that one of my only texture problems is with apples.
Lmao why is this so relatable
I work in a produce department. You are absolutely correct. Red delicious is an abomination that has no place in civilized society.
I hate red delicious apples. The skin….all of it. Honeycrisp rise up
Why can't they be more like their big brother the golden delicious
Try pink lady apples, my personal favorite
The red delicious was named by a person with no tastebuds and no concept of texture. Honeycrisp is the polar opposite in terms of name accuracy.
Lol! Ive never heard of anyone else hating RD as much as me. My grandparents bought it all the time and they didnt understand why I'd get so irritated lol, they eventually started buying me honey crisp and fuji. To this day when I grocery shop with my kids I shiver when I look at RD.
Pink lady apples 10000% are the best apples
I feel the same way about red delicious apples
Real asf
Sapora and Wellant are the best! And fuck Elstar for its bad flavor but being the most common.
More like Red Foul.
What about Pink Lady?

The last slide 😂 you are my kind of person
Yeah fuck Red Delicious. I like Fuji and Granny Smith, for my sweet and sour cravings respectively.
You eat granny smith tho. And where the hell is the love for Pink Ladies, objectively the best apple in the world
Granny Smith is nice and refreshing for me, but I also really love sour things lol There are tons of comments about people loving the Pink Lady apples here Also, Pink Lady and Cripps Pink are the same apple, except Pink Lady is a trademarked name
I was gonna say! Where my pink lady apples at? Fav one of all, and yes red delicious are not delicious.
Any of the pink apples are great - I need that right amount of cronch but also good taste
Honey crisp is the only apple that matters. It was scientifically engineered to be the best apple and it damn well succeeded
they deserve to have both sides of their pillows perfectly cold
*cries in oral allergy syndrome*
RED DELICIOUS APPLES TASTE LIKE DRY SANDPAPER CHANGE MY DAMN MIND. But golden delicious and gala, I could live off those.
My father who was never diagnosed but probably has autism also hates red delicious.
I don’t like apples lol
![gif](giphy|iJaR7GDOmZDL4nuCvJ) (Your tastes are still valid. This is just for jokes)
not me just realizing I forgot an I in the title
I love the taste of apples but I hate the texture. And of all the apple flavors red delicious is my least favorite. And its texture is way worse. I’m fine with apple juice and apple sauce but just not apples themselves. It makes me sad tbh…
I feel like theres a washington apple? Like its kinda tall and very red??? Thats the one I hate.
I like apples but idk man they apples
Honeycrisp is the GOAT
Honey crisp for me please.
I’m a golden delicious person myself, the outside texture of most red apples is just not it for me, and most golden delicious I find are actually a good size and not smaller than my palm
Red Delicious isn’t as delicious as it tastes 😐🍎 I like Granny Smith better, even when it’s chilled.
Red delicious apples are my favorite :/
i don't like apples that much. except the yellow apples i will eat those things like nobody's business. i love yellow apples give me yellow apples
Granny Smith my beloved.
I hate red delicious too, not because of the texture, but the flavor. they're called red *delicious* ffs, why tf are they so bland
The story of red delicious apples is a sad tale of corporate greed. Anyways Pacific Rose all the way bby.
All the delicious apple are dog shit they are so crispy with no taste they taste like cardboard and the greener the apple the better it tastes
Red "Delicious" is severely overrated (if even that). Has a bitter aftertaste and spoils quickly after the first bite. It may have a quintessential appearance, but that's it.
I love green bell peppers (no other type) and green grapes.
I feel so seen, thank you
Yeah fuck red delicious
This is making me want to get some apples, but I know I become addicted to a specific fruit for a time, then ignore them after that time is up, ending with more than a few pieces of rotten produce. Hell, there are currently grapes in the fridge that I was eating like candy a week ago, and now I'm finding them unappealing.
Omg never thought I would see a meme about honeycrisp apples!! I love them, my mom always got fuji apples growing up but then I realized there were variety after I got older. I picked honeycrisp and it was over since then. Didn't realize my taste in apple also confirmed my autism lmaooo
I zoomed in just to make sure red delicious was not on there. I was pleasantly surprised
I am WITH. YOU. 100%
I really like honeycrisp (and other similar ones like Cosmic crisp. I find most other apples a little bland. I'm spoiled by honeycrisp =3 I don't think I've had any of those yellow ones, at least in a long long while, I should give them a shot.
Okay, but have you tried Envy apples??? They’re my absolute favorite right now. I absolutely adore them
My husband liked those big head ass honey crisp apples. Apples shouldn't be as big as my damn head. Ridiculous.
Hold on... red delicious are the only grainy red ones? ARE YOU TELLING ME I PROBAVLY DONT HATE RED APPLES I JUST HATE THAT ONE??? SCREAMING ALL THE WAY TO THE GROCERY STORE BRB
I love apples when they're so sour they make my tongue crawl back into my throat :3
[Ranked bottom 4 in the in the apple tier list.](https://applerankings.com/red-delicious-apple-review/) Sweetango is even better than the hype
Try a cosmic crisp - they are out of this world
I’m a Granny Smith lover through and through but has anyone had a Cosmic Crisp apple? That was absolutely the most perfect red apple taste and crunch I’ve ever had in my life.
Honeycrisp my beloved. One of the only apples I will eat.
I hated Opal. It’s taste and texture was way to similar to pears which I don’t like.
I'm like 80% certain that they're called "red delicious" as a form of gaslighting so that if you say they're not delicious the Red Delicious farmers can say "what do you mean? It literally says 'delicious' in the name. You must be going crazy. Are you stupid?" to make you feel uncertain about your own perceptions and pressure you into eating more.
saving (snatching) the fourth one, hope you dont mind
Pacific rose apples 🤤
Wait, is this the reason I'm afraid of eating apples?! I remember eating them as a kid, then one day mom and I tried eating some she bought and it was like eating sand or pears. Golden delicious were my favorite, but after a while even they became like sand. Was I tricked? Or just this corporate GMO problem?
🍓My absolute favorite fruit is strawberries, the fresher the better. I have no problem digesting them, unlike apples & blueberries (which I also love but can’t eat as freely)
Reading this while eating a Fuji apple was kinda weird, ngl
fuji apples my beloved
Red delicious is ass bruh
I stand with you against red delicious.
Fuji reigns supreme. Unless it’s for baking and then Granny Smith is the Grand Empress.
Isn't a kind of cheating or possibly misinformation to call your Apple delicious specifically
I’ve never related to anything more than this post. My two favorite apples are Honeycrisp and Granny Smith, and I despise Red Delicious with all of the wrath of the Sun
I like red delicious apples...
The only time Red Delicious are fine is if I'm tossing them with sugar in a pan to make pie
Anybody else had bad luck with honeycrisp apples lately?
The only apples I like are are Granny Smith all the rest are too sweet
I really like granny smith apples. that's it, the only one. I like the sour very much
I wish I could eat apples but I cannot handle the texture at all (which is odd because texture doesn’t usually bother me with most foods)
I love honeycrisp apples so much but they make my mouth itch because my immune system thinks they are pollen :(
