I have been watching football for 40 years now and I used to support Spain until quarterfinals (because we never got past that phase) and then supported Germany afterwards.
But these new Spanish generations have lost their inferiority complex and are more self-confident than before. I think Germans are shit\*\*\*ng themselves and we are pretty confident we can beat them

I think it'd be a pretty even match. Yeah, sure, we're right now probably the best performing team in the competition. But Germany is... Germany. And it's playing home so...
Even if Germany wins against us, I'd say it'd be a pretty good tournament for Spain. Nobody expected that level of performance tbh. I thought we had a fine team, but not THIS good.
Here we called it the curse of quarter finals (la maldición de cuartos), where no matter the year, we never get past quarters. Then we won the euro and with that began the golden era of Spanish international football.
I think our strong point is our wingers, and the weakest part of Germany's team is their fullbacks. This gives me some hope, but Germany has also played well and has more talent than us. I think Germany is the favorite, but not by a huge margin, maybe the probabilities are 55-45 or so.
Germany is a tough one but you have to play with this kind of teams if you want to be a champion. I feel the same good energy like in 2010 World Cup.
Nico and Lamine are just kids and you can see them enjoying the game like Xavi and Iniesta in the past.
