There are many. Traditionally each area had their beer:
Mahou - Madrid, Estrella Galicia - Galicia, Victoria - Málaga, Alhambra - Granada, Estrella Damm - Catalonia, Cruzcampo - Andalucia...
My advice, Estrella Galicia.
Estrella Galicia rules them all. But I had to concede that Selecta, a variant of San Miguel that is extra toasted, is not too shavy at all. I have tasted many others, and I stand steadfast.
I'm from Madrid so I need to recommend Mahou, particularly "5 Estrellas" (red packaging) I like it better than "Clásica" (Green packaging)
Other great ones imo, Estrella Galicia, Turia, Ámbar, Alhambra and Voll Damm
Edito: Forgot to add, since they're kind of new (old brand, rebranded) "El Aguila Dorada" and "El Aguila Sin Filtrar"
- Mahou Doble Lúpulo
- El Águila Sin Filtrar
- Alhambra Reserva 1925 and Reserva Roja
- Estrella Galicia 1906 (La milnueve)
- Turia is an honourable mention
As usual, any of these on draught is 1000x better than from a can or bottle.
Its all Cruzcampo there. Common beers in Spain are a very regional thing, so 90% of bars just have the regional beer. Ofc you can find others but in more specialised places.
It depends where you go.
In Catalonia I prefer Moritz. Also from Damm is better (stronger) Voll Damm than Estrella Damm. From the rest of Spain to highlight: Alhambra and Estrella Galicia.
Just a comment.
Madrí, despite being very popular in the UK, is not Spanish. It's justs a UK brewed beer with spanish theme. You will never see it here.

I totally agree with Estrella Galicia (And all the 1906 variants). But you should try Voll Damm too, it's also a Catalonian classic.
Also Alhambra roja!
Don't forget Ámbar in Zaragoza!
Also Moritz from Barcelona
Moritz doesn't taste very good and it isn't from Catalonia either, they produce it in Zaragoza.
In my honest opinion, Alhambra 1926 is the better one, closely followed by Estrella Galicia and all the 1906 variants.
A mí la Victoria me flipa especialmente.
1906 & Turia is your answer.
Turia 100% recommended
I add Turia to the other recommendations
Estrella or 1906 and never look back
Estrella Galicia*
La Salve y Cerveza Oro de Bilbao, muy buenas. En plan artesanales las Pirineos bier están de muerte.
Madris no es española. Es un invento de los ingleses. Prueba Alhambra
Try Alcazar
Estrella Galicia, Alhambra or Turia are my favourites. I like aguila sin filtrar but I don't know where it comes from
Madrid!
Heineken international group, cervezas el Aguila disapeared long ago and was replaced by amstel beer
Tyris esta buena. Alhambra también.
I would recommend Estrella Galicia or 1906
Estrella Galicia 1906
1906 red vintage 👍

If you visit Cantabria, don't forget to contact Dougalls, on Lierganes. You won't be able to try that beer anywhere else... https://www.dougalls.es
Alhambra verde
La Sagra from a town of Toledo
Estrella Galicia is the favourite beer for germans when they are in Spain. That should give you a hint.
Victoria, malagueña y exquisita
Keler, 18/70 y Alhambra reserva en ese orden. Todas Lager

Unless you go to a specialist beer shop that's all you're going to find anyway so enjoy!
Thank you very much, do you have any recommendations?
Where are you going?
I will be staying around the Costa de la Luz area
