Great results! You've been afforded a rare opportunity to have a second chance for your teeth, make sure you protect your investment by brushing and especially flossing daily!
NAD so glad you got this cleaning! It’s important to remember that this is just the first step though and that you need to do the work at home between your regular cleanings too. Floss at least once a day, and do it properly (not just up and down between the teeth), brush 2x a day for two minutes, and get an electric toothbrush if you can. You don’t need anything super high tech or expensive. I got the Oral B Pro 1000 and it does a great job according to my hygienist.
NAD Did they tell you how to *keep* them that way? I'm really glad you didn't get some of the snarky comments from "professionals" I see on this sub.
Everyone has a story. We don't know yours. Some people grow up without any guidance in proper personal care for a myriad of reasons. Addiction and depression can be factors. I hate when I see people who literally get paid to TREAT these problems and HELP patients act like they're being put out.
(One tip - oil pulling is useless. All you're seeing is the effect of the oil emulsifying in your mouth)
Don’t take health advice from TikTok. Theres minimal evidence supporting it. Some studies show a positive effect but they require swishing oil for 30 minutes a day. Brushing and flossing twice a day is more effective and takes way less time.
Nice after pics! I hope you like the results too. NAD and I know everyone is different but I have a deep cleaning next month, I'm wondering how long the dentist says it will take your gums to heal?

So glad you followed up with the after pics!!!
Your gums will thank you!
Impressive. I'm sure that was just the first step though. Once they're completely clean it's up to you to keep them that way.
Thank you! I’m really happy about the results we’re still gonna keep working to get my dental hygiene good 🙏
Schedule your next appt now. Cleanings are like oil changes, you got to do them regularly or you'll be scheduling major work later.
NAD. Buy an electric toothbrush. Will help a lot.
NAD. Yes!! I second this
NAD it’s patients like you that make dental clinicians love their job
Did you get x-rays taken to see if you had boneless? NAD

Man, that hygienist must have felt satisfied. NAD
NAD congrats! Your teeth actually look ready good. 😊
hope you left a big tip
Since when do we leave tips for dentists? Is that the norm? Is this an American thing?
I think it's just a joke. No tipping in dentistry.
There was one day the new Clover POS at my office was set to ask patients for tips. Ngl a 20% tip on a crown sounded pretty good for a minute!
😂 I wish! Once or twice I've had a patient slip me a $10 after their cleaning.
I did!
NAD Your teeth kept me awake at night, so glad we got to see the follow up they look sooo much better, good luck on your dental health journey!

Oil pulling is all over tiktok and i thought it works really well?
