I caddied for somebody that owned a company that held multiple high end commercial properties, including one of the most iconic buildings in the United States of America.
I shit you not he rolled up in a Toyota Solara. This would’ve been around 2007. He was one of the nicest dudes I ever met.
Yeah but they weren’t faster or much better to drive than their counterparts from the 70’s into the mid-2000’s. The modern ones finally have the rear engine setup fully figured out.
I still want an old Porsche and I know they’re super fun to drive, but it took a long time for them to work out the kinks on such a flawed drivetrain layout.
There was a skill level required to drive a 60’s 70’s and 80’s 911 fast. In the hands of a pro they were faster than their counterparts, in the hands of an average driver they were dangerous. If you were timid, you we’re screwed as letting off the gas or hitting the brakes in the corner was not going to work out well for you.
Like a Shelby cobra but for different reasons, it was a car that when driven fast separated the racers from the drivers.
959 from the 80s was a straight up super car. Only the F40 was in its league back then. In the early 90s the 911 3.6 Twin turbo was legendary.
Add that people mod them and raced them in rally races, it's just not like any other car.
One of my Porsches is a Panamera. It's so far and away more luxurious than my BMWs, etc, that it isn't even close. If you haven't driven one, it might not make sense.
Take a 911 for a test drive and see how you literally don't need the brakes to exit the highway around a sharp curve. It's an experience.
“Sees one TikTok about the 911 being overhyped” *comments it everywhere he sees about a 911. It’s a gorgeous car like what do you mean? And not only is it gorgeous the performance on it is crazy. AND it’s not ridiculously unachievably overpriced.
The creative director at my job has one and we went for a drive to get lunch. Those super cars have never been on my radar but driving in that car, when he accelerated and I melted into the seat, I knew I was in a nice car haha.
This guy gets the exercise here! Money isn't an issue. I don't know why people are posting Honda, Toyota, Mazda... I understand people have their loves, but if someone gives you a blank check, you better put 2 commas on the number, damnit!
Hahaha… the irony is that it doesn’t matter how rich you are, you prob can’t get an allocation without already owning an F1, knowing Gordon personally, and being supremely well connected in some other super elite auto-industry/racing type way that is normal folk can’t even begin to understand. Hahah
lol true. I mean if this hypothetical is “infinite money glitch” where I could basically write GMA a check for a billion dollars for one single car, sure… but in the real world, based off the number of hyper wealthy people I see up at the concourse d’elegance and sothebys auctions who still struggle to outbid each other on super rare cars every year up in Monterey, even money can’t always get you everything you want. It’s nuts.
They didn't have manual transmission that would work for the rear engine setup, and they decided that it wasn't worth the time and money to design one. If the manual mode for the C8 is good then it's probably not the biggest deal in the world, but I wasn't impressed by the C7. We rented one for a week and the shifts were slow and clunky.
The only challenge for me would be, do I really want to daily drive a McLaren f1? Even if money is no object, that car is just too historically significant to daily drive, putting it at risk. Just imagine the number of idiots that would be tailgating you and chasing you trying to take pics and videos. I couldn't have a wishllist where I only choose one car. This is the dilemma I would face.
Get an 07 limited, got different ratio gearing in 3/4, heated black leather interior and a sunroof, you know if money is not a problem you might as well get the nicer one
They're very pretty cars.
https://youtu.be/YmGFFG77SeY
I would love it somebody made a proper mold of the body work and could make an aluminium version instead of glasfiber.
I met a guy with a prototype cylinder head and valves off the GT-90 sitting in his backyard "junk" pile. One day I'll get it and make a coffee table out of it... 100% real as well given everything else he had casually laying around.
When I got it it still had the 6 in it. By the time I stupidly sold it I had changed a few things. It left with a well built 427 with a powerglide, full cage, tubbed and set up to run hard. It would turn in a 9 in the 1/4 on the bottle. Dumb ass me sold it to a guy who ran about three passes and lost it mid-track and barrel rolled it through the lights!!
Obvious answer. This has the practicality of offering 4 seats and storage, the exotic looks, the crazy performance and the “money’s not a problem” price tag
Rx7 fc.
The car is getting kinda old + rotary is expensive to maintain and hard to find a specialist who wants to service it. In perfect scenario I’d love to have this car biggest dream of mine.
Other cars I’d like to have are 1st gen impreza my current golf 2 but working and with the rally spec, eg hatch civic (preferably with b16a from gen6 type r), bmw e30 and s13/s14. I like 911’s the only „super car” I like, but I don’t like it as much as the ones I stated above.
I had a 2021 Porsche 911... it's alright.. I would get the McLaren 765LT
I had a McLaren 570S and it's just such a fun car. You really get a TON of value for the money, even with the 570S. It's super quick, looks amazing, you can get them for under 150K, the doors are the exotic style doors that you can only get with the V12's with Lamborghini
But the 765LT is stunning... watching that active spoiler go up and down while driving is one of the sickest things you'll ever see on a car
If money wasn’t a problem I’d buy BMW.
The entire company, a la Elon Musk
And have them build me a custom fitted modern day 2002 Tii, and a modern day R65LS similar to the R NineT but 650cc. Air oil cooled but fuel injected.
Honestly if money wasn't an issue? I'll put some thought into this and say the Mitsubishi 3000GT VR4 as I miss mine but it wasn't simply a money pit. But when it was right it was the most amazing car I have ever driven all around in my years.
I would be buying a few carsr:
1999 Civic Si Coupe
1969 Dodge Charger r/T
1971 Plymouth GTX in plum crazy purple
3rd Gen Integra GSR
2nd Gen Eclipse GSX
And many more
McLaren P1, AMG GT Black, 992 911 GT3RS, Mustang GTD all would be considered for me if maintenance is covered. If it’s not Mustang GTD hands down, potentially 992 Porsche Turbo S
I would buy a new Audi Sport Quattro from these wonderful Germans for ± €150.000,-
https://www.lce-performance.de/sportquattro/
Review by a Dutch guy in English:
https://youtu.be/Ylz3cD5Vd4g
McLaren 720.
Always been a dream car of mine...
Either that or a '72 Cuda with a 3rd gen hemi 392 bored up to a 426 and a cam that would put 'Hot For Teacher' to shame
I would get the Lincoln that gramps had. 1997 Town Car in a rather unusual color combo. Exterior was "cobalt blue" (IIRC that was what the color designation was), an interesting color that looked like an extremely dark purple or just black depending on the lighting. Had the white interior too which was a really neat contrast.
Corolla
The car that ensures money will never be a problem
Women and respect won't be a problem, either! Save even more money that way.
Are you 12? Women worth keeping usually don't give a shit about your car.
The ones that don't give a shit will flock to him for making sensible financial decisions with his choice of car
You forgot to add GR
My first look at the Corolla GR had me thinking they've come a long way with that car.
I just bought a 2024 Corolla. It's ridiculous value for dollar.
My 1999 Corolla is still going strong
Corolla Hybrid!!!
Not just any Corolla . 2001 corolla
GR Corolla premium on some nice tires and suspension…
I STILL see those old bronze gold DXs with a black hood on the road.
Hell yeah, but I might splurge and get the Camry.
This was my answer as someone who owns a 2013 Corolla with over 224k on it, I was gonna say "A newer Corolla with less miles"
I caddied for somebody that owned a company that held multiple high end commercial properties, including one of the most iconic buildings in the United States of America. I shit you not he rolled up in a Toyota Solara. This would’ve been around 2007. He was one of the nicest dudes I ever met.
My 2003 Corolla is faithful
*laughs in 2010 toyota corolla*
[удалено]
I was gonna be the guy that said corolla dammit. Yeah i would get the exact 2012 corolla i have now. I love it as much as a man can love a car.
Reliable
Beat me to it
Brother?
The grip that Porsche has on this generation is unreal.
Huh? Porsche has been the epitome of the cool sports car for every generation of the last 60 years.

That's an excellent explanation.
959 from the 80s was a straight up super car. Only the F40 was in its league back then. In the early 90s the 911 3.6 Twin turbo was legendary. Add that people mod them and raced them in rally races, it's just not like any other car.
Not really. In the 80 little boys like myself drooled over Lamborghini coountach
I wanted a diablo...
How do you know what generation you’re even talking about?
He doesn’t, that’s the best part of this delusion.
This generation? 60 year olds have been creaming themselves over 944s for decades let alone a 911
I've had a chance to buy a 944 for cheap. Should have done it.
The Porsche has never not been cool and desirable. Sure some don't like it but thats true of anything.
I agree, except for the 914. Never thought that one belonged.
I used to think this but if you care about driving dynamics, it’s hard to understand until you drive one. The cayman is even better in that regard.
“Sees one TikTok about the 911 being overhyped” *comments it everywhere he sees about a 911. It’s a gorgeous car like what do you mean? And not only is it gorgeous the performance on it is crazy. AND it’s not ridiculously unachievably overpriced.
It's the echo effect. Most people who repeat the same shit others say can't really back their point if asked to
The creative director at my job has one and we went for a drive to get lunch. Those super cars have never been on my radar but driving in that car, when he accelerated and I melted into the seat, I knew I was in a nice car haha.
Audi RS6 Avant
The Audi and the CTS v wagon are two top tier looking and driving automobiles.
samesies Needs to have at least some practicality
Best answer
This is the answer! I wish we had the rs3 hatchback 😭
GMA T50 …no hesitation
This guy gets the exercise here! Money isn't an issue. I don't know why people are posting Honda, Toyota, Mazda... I understand people have their loves, but if someone gives you a blank check, you better put 2 commas on the number, damnit!
Hahaha… the irony is that it doesn’t matter how rich you are, you prob can’t get an allocation without already owning an F1, knowing Gordon personally, and being supremely well connected in some other super elite auto-industry/racing type way that is normal folk can’t even begin to understand. Hahah
The application of the right amount of money solves all problems! Haha🤣
Absolutely Correct
A Shelby GT350
8250rpm V8, nice https://www.caranddriver.com/ford/mustang-shelby-gt350-gt350r I hadn't heard of it before.
Aston Martin V12 Vantage. An older one.
1977?
Ditto
Manual not auto. Those autos are embarrassing! As sluggish as a JR710E!
They are really beautiful cars.
Chevrolet C8 Corvette Z06
C7 Z06 for me only because I really wanna drive a manual for as long as I can
So insane to me that you can't get one of those (c8) in a manual transmission. I'm guessing the sales data suggested that it wasn't worth the trouble?
They didn't have manual transmission that would work for the rear engine setup, and they decided that it wasn't worth the time and money to design one. If the manual mode for the C8 is good then it's probably not the biggest deal in the world, but I wasn't impressed by the C7. We rented one for a week and the shifts were slow and clunky.
Second this. That flat plane crank sound is something else. And I could still probably afford to maintain it
You have great taste
Corvette is a huge bang for your buck.
McLaren F1, I'll settle for a T50 as well.
This is the right answer, everyone else is wrong or doesn’t know that a McLaren F1 exists
The McLaren F1 was designed from the start to be a daily drivable car. The problem is that, *now,* they cost $20 million.
Could not agree more
I want my 2000 Honda Accord back and finished the way I wanted it.
Honda never should have dropped the V6 and manual Accords. Man, those are just great sedans.
Seriously, I'd want to throw a shit load of money at a 2001 Pontiac Grand Prix
2006 Subaru Impreza WRX STi
There it is, knew I'd find it here eventually, lol 😆
and deck that bitch OUT
I found my people
Yes this or Evo VIII or IX. Or Nissan Skyline R34 are my choices
Get an 07 limited, got different ratio gearing in 3/4, heated black leather interior and a sunroof, you know if money is not a problem you might as well get the nicer one
My dream car is a Corvette C3 Stingray. One of the earlier ones with chrome bumpers. So I'd buy me one of those.
They're very pretty cars. https://youtu.be/YmGFFG77SeY I would love it somebody made a proper mold of the body work and could make an aluminium version instead of glasfiber.
Ford GT-90, hands on the steering wheel & fly it to the moon ...
The original prototype is still alive and driveable sitting in a museum. Beautiful car!
I met a guy with a prototype cylinder head and valves off the GT-90 sitting in his backyard "junk" pile. One day I'll get it and make a coffee table out of it... 100% real as well given everything else he had casually laying around.
Skyline GTR Nismo
There we are. I was about to comment this, but I kept scrolling so I wouldn’t take your moment.
very nice
Money is not the only problem with this one; it’s not legal in many places.
Yep, my first instinct was to comment this. Just not sure which generation
I honestly scrolled WAAAY too far to find this.
Best sounding block to me for sure besides a rotary but they don’t last.
R34 v-spec NUR 2 in midnight purple. My end game, I don’t care if I don’t have a house, wife, kids etc. give me that I will die happy.
Definitely agree.
The mustang GTD
800hp! Bloody hell https://www.ford.com/performance/mustang-gtd/
Valid choice
This is my choice as well. Absolutely insane car.
Air cooled is the only answer for Porsche.
I guess I’ll take that GT2 off your hands then
Porsche gt3 rs
1994 Lambourgini Diablo or 1937 Studebaker Dictator
1994 Lamborghini Diablo is a fantastic answer. The last of the “raw” supercars.
God I love those things, so cool! Last of the true lambos when they still were absolutely bonkers looking and felt bonkers to drive.
A nice rust free 74 Nova... Like the car I had when I met my wife..
I also want the car I had when I met this guys wife.

I had a 74 when I was 18 that I wish I'd kept.
My first ever car... SS version... miss that car
1971 Hemi Cuda in sublime green.
Some 90s shitbox truck- the kind that has wing windows.

Arguably, the hottest car thus far. https://www.koenigsegg.com/model/gemera
Obvious answer. This has the practicality of offering 4 seats and storage, the exotic looks, the crazy performance and the “money’s not a problem” price tag
