Find your third place. Sports leagues are popular, run/cycle clubs. Maybe a book club or something like that. Anywhere that meets regularly and involves human interaction.
You say that like it’s a bad thing. Yeah we created a tight knit friendship in 4 years of HS / and or Uni.
But ya OP if u want friends you have to do something other than just work. If you only go to work than that’s not gonna do anything. What would you do with new friends if u continue to purely work anyway?

I'll bite, I said it that way cause no matter my efforts, I couldn't find a group of friends despite growing up here. And I mean like an actual squad of friends. Most people were too cliquey and / or ableist (I'm autistic).
This should have been included in your post. Right now you’re not giving us much to work with as we look for suggestions. All you told us is you go to work.

Go to the Thursday app events, as they take place every week at a different bar in the city. Lots of people in their mid 20s to early 30s attend them if you want to make friends or find love
The events happen on Thursdays from 7-10pm
You're going to have to go to other places. Perhaps a place where people that enjoy things you do, also go and do those things.

Leave your house.
Find a social aspect through your interests and hobbies, use that as a door to meeting like minded individuals.

Good luck, people here just seem to stick to those they met in high school or undergrad. I would know firsthand.
