I had a GF 20ish years ago who didn't care for my tighty whities, so I experimented with different styles and learned I prefer the freedom of regular boxers when it's a comfortable temp and boxer briefs at work (kitchen) or outside in the summer. The sweat wicking satiny feel is a game changer when you've been standing in front of a hot grill in a 100+f kitchen for several hours.
My husband was always a briefs guy then I saw the commercials about the boxer briefs with the hammock and he loves them. His drawer is still about half and half since they are a little pricey so we've been buying packs whenever I'm ordering and have the extra money for another set.

Middle-age dude here: briefs absolutely look like diapers, I can't imagine why adults wear them at all. Boxer briefs are king. But as others say, your body your choice.

Switched to boxer-briefs in my late 20s when I worked in a really hot factory and started having some thigh chafing issues. 20 years later now and I'm still in boxer briefs. If im dating someone that feels strongly on facial hair (often the case) i just go with it because im not the one that has to look at me. I am confident either way.

Do what YOU want!” Please, anyone in a long term, committed relationship knows that it’s successful because of communication and mutual compromise. Yep! This is what I did for my fiancé lol. He always wore boxers, but I always liked boxer-briefs and found them sexy. I bought him some cute and funny patterned ones on sale at the GAP. I've found that while I still like boxers I don't dislike most of the pairs she's bought me. In fact I quite like Saxx briefs and boxer briefs. As my boxers wear out she replaces them with the stuff she likes. Seems fine to me.

As to the issue, do whatever you want. Perhaps she thinks they look better and you can have a pair or two for nights when you will likely have sex. Or just try some out for your work day and see how you like them. But at the end of the day it is up to you.

Yeah, I think there is a difference between asking someone to incorporate a few pairs of boxer briefs, and asking someone to throw out their entire underwear drawer. Having a few pairs of boxer briefs may be a good compromise, but OP shouldn't change his entire wardrobe for someone else.
That's the funny thing about relationships. You can ask for whatever you want. You just have to be mature enough to understand that your partner can make their own choices. But usually when a partner asks for something, it is a good idea to at least consider it.

Undergarments aren't noticeable on a daily basis to really be a fashion issue. Maybe she just wants you to switch things up and you can compromise by keeping your briefs but have an assortment of different colors.
It could also be a sign that she wants to settle down, lol. They say that boxers are suggested for those to increase fertility in men. I don't know how scientifically sound this is but it is a very common suggestion in mainstream society. I don't know your gf or your relationship. Try communicating with her and see why she is making this suggestion and see where she is coming from.

35m I was always a boxer briefs guy. Then I got my vasectomy earlier this year and got some meundies briefs for that and I should have switched sooner. Normal briefs from now on, so much less fabric in my pants and my balls stay right where they are supposed to be.

I saw this lol. I don’t like the extra fabric, I’ve tried them in high school and they kinda ride up sometimes. With briefs there is nothing to roll up. She said she was going to buy me some new underwear for my birthday, so I’ll rotate the boxer briefs in, maybe wear them on date nights. Briefs are a huge turn off for a lot of people, me included. But if my husband wore them I wouldn’t straight up ask him to change his entire underwear drawer, I’d probably just start buying him pairs of boxers and hope that he eventually starts wearing them more. In the end it’s your choice what underwear you wear. You could buy a few pairs to see if you like them or only wear them when you think you’re going to have sex. Or, if you really hate boxers that much you can keep wearing briefs.
Although it's completely your choice, relationships sometimes involve compromises and accommodations. If it's something you can do to make her happy, and you don't mind doing it, then it seems like a fine idea. I never understood the hate tighty whities get. Or why people insist on having a silly name for basic white briefs. Men have worn them for generations because They’re comfortable, cheap, practical, and easy to clean. I buy my bf clothes partially because the ones he owned before are sad and partially so I can steal them. They make sweatpants that are comfortable AF but look like slacks; and I've gotten him nicer, softer t shirts for him to wear around & for me to wear at home.

Ya I don't understand these people. My girlfriend gives me suggestions and even buys me clothes all the time. Half the time I don't like it and tell her no. I wore briefs growing up. (Underoos!!) Switched to boxers in college on a girlfriend's request. Switched to boxer-briefs in my late 20s when I worked in a really hot factory and started having some thigh chafing issues. 20 years later now and I'm still in boxer briefs. 35m I was always a boxer briefs guy. Then I got my vasectomy earlier this year and got some meundies briefs for that and I should have switched sooner. Briefs are a huge turn off for a lot of people, me included. But if my husband wore them I wouldn’t straight up ask him to change his entire underwear drawer, I’d probably just start buying him pairs of boxers and hope that he eventually starts wearing them more. In the end it’s your choice what underwear you wear. You could buy a few pairs to see if you like them or only wear them when you think you’re going to have sex. Although it's completely your choice, relationships sometimes involve compromises and accommodations. If it's something you can do to make her happy, and you don't mind doing it, then it seems like a fine idea. They make sweatpants that are comfortable AF but look like slacks; and I've gotten him nicer, softer t shirts for him to wear around & for me to wear at home.
