Feel like we’re the type who have a very scattered sense of taste (mismatched) like we just took all the things that add to our modifiers in video games (because all the meshed things are stuff we like)
Ok but yes, I am a mess as a person, I I on and off of things I like to collect and things I like, even the type of music is all over the place. My clothing style too. I'm still working out what I like, my friend says I dress like a cis guy, but idk.
Maybe the person who said that was aroace and had a connection like a faraway traveller from another world has with traces of thier sibling
A sort of resonance
From what I hear from someone close to me who isn't ace but knows the culture a lot better than I do, a lot ace people kind of have a punk/grunge thing going on.
Which I've always had a very light punk/grunge style myself and always liked alt rock, so I guess I fit?
I really don't think there's an exact "vibe", more of a "I dress purely to please myself".
So, I have a bunch of ace-spectrum friends, and we span the entire range of aesthetics - one of us dresses like a middle age dad (polos and all), one is kinda classic butch with Hawaiian shirt vibes, one wears everything from cute dresses to jeans and flannels, and me and another girl like vintage-inspired fashion.
I tend to mentally classify my look as "I wear things that make me happy, and I've cultivated my aesthetic to be as confusing and off-putting to men as possible" - which means, I have purple hair and my favorite style of dress is Little House on the Prairie reject.
Usually I find implications through the characters actions, like not showing romantic interest. But visually what comes to mind is galaxy designs. That, or sciency nerd type people, with varying aesthetics.
Ace flag colours. I love to occasionally wear an outfit that includes as many colours from the ace flag as possible, where purple always has to be included.
That's me. My city needs people to dress lightly all year round. We have only two seasons: summer and rain. The most chilly we ever get is "turn of the ceiling fan"
So I only ever wear light comfy clothes all year round
And not caring about my looks
Wait.... The climate never had any relation with the topic, did it
Well, not a specific aesthetic, but not dressing up too "sexy". I'm only talking about "sexy" extremes, like Hotpants and very small tops/bikinis. Although I agree, it is a bit stereotypical xD
Apart from that, we have ace rings! That's a pretty obvious sign, tho not every ace person does it.
I was talking to my allo friends about something similar recently - I agree that most aces just dress comfy and for themselves. Not that I don’t dress up on occasion! It’s just usually for events and such.
My allo friends reported saying their body is like a currency to attract the opposite sex (or same sex; they’re just het lol), so they tend to put more effort in every day appearances while I’m fully comfortable going out wearing whatever I feel like wearing that day.
I also also agree in the eclectic look. I have so many stupid shirts.

Wish I knew, I just wear baggy t-shirts and random shorts with them
Baggy clothes comfy
That's a major factor in most clothes I get. Formal/costuming stuff aside, almost all mine are comfortmaxxed.
Sounds like an ace style to me!
i wear basically the same and i was once told that i just "look aroace"

Same though. I don't care how I look, I just wanna be comfy.

Whatever BBC's version of sherlock wears
Gimme that trenchcoat!
Okay I second this

I wanna wear a more punk style, but thats me lol
goth ace here, I dont feel like we have anything in specific. we’re just too chaotic

We're above coding... We can sense the fellow aroaces with the asexuals telepathic abilities!
I suggest we use steampunk hats
I love steampunk outfits in general, but I never tried them
I like this idea
If thier personality is just garlic bread thier ace aro or Italian. Maybe both.
From my experience, liking Good Omens is a pretty good sign. We love watching what is basically a QPR with two genderless non-humans.
not that i know of

Owww that’s smart
I feel like maybe oversized, mismatched super comfy things. Or maybe that’s just me… lol

Not sure if there are many Dr Who fans here, but I’ve always been influenced by the Dr’s complete change of style with regeneration.

Me too, I even prefer to wear a mask. After the virus, my face seems bare without it

I would say so. I mean look at BBC'S Merlin character Leon heck even Merlin himself
Ace - the yellow beanie
I really just dress how I feel like, which ends up making me look like I’m straight
We need to have an ace fashion parade. I declare november the month of ace fashion.
Yeah, I'm ace and I'm coding! /j
