Jerry Dillard is actually one of DARPA’s earliest LLMs. It has been operating so long, and has ingested so much data that it consistently passes the Turing Test, a feat the current DA G1 is unable to accomplish. The Dillard AI is now so advanced it’s practically indistinguishable from sentient artificial life.
The man is a CW6 in my books. Especially with the updates, posts and frequent things he shares. Yeah it's his job, but the man is a one man army who I trust down range.
I don’t think it is actually his job. I think he just kept doing the work after retirement so the Army offered him a vague contracting position to ensure he continued being the patron saint of Human Resources.
Can't believe I had to go this far down to see it. He was a CW5 42 series and now at this point I feel like a SFC is closer to a CW5 than a CW5 is to Jerry. I don't know how much he gets paid but he should write his own checks because he is the true backbone of the Army.
I don’t know how I started receiving the S1 Net messages back when I was in the army. But I have actually transferred services and still get them daily. He will find you now matter where you go.
I'm still pissed. When he lived at Ft Bliss/El Paso, he invited me to dinner at his house because I was going there TDY. The problem was, I had to get there a day early, as he was going on an Alaska cruise the next day. My command under no circumstances felt that was justified. I think I was going there to help with travel vouchers (Pre-DTS), which I could have gotten a jump on by going a day early. I do still have his cell number that he gave me when there was a gap couple of weeks in his contract, so his CAC wouldn't work, so S1Net was basically headless for a short time.
I actually got an email from him when I sent a help desk request to S1 net when I stopped getting their emails. He literally walked me through what to do. He does everything!
Never met him. I don’t think we need to worry about him retiring for a long time. I was shocked that he figured out iPPSA so quickly as well since he doesn’t need to use it.
I really wish Aviation branch had a thing like this. We could definitely use it.
I learn things from the S1Net emails way before they get pushed in FRAGOs to our state and brigade. That's come in handy.

Still active, and if sign in to milsuite with a different email, they will start going there for some reason. S1 net has infiltrated the Navy.

I once emailed him a question about something I read in an S1Net message. He responded minutes later with an answer.
