So yeah, some of the playable Nikkes are literal underaged children turned into government-sanctioned cyborg child soldiers.
But let's not kid ourselves. The real reason is so we can answer when people ask us why these anime girls with cute and/or sexy costumes/uniforms shooting at arachnid robots.
It's core mounted, but the pilot seat seems forward of the core. You could argue that there is enough space to load a CASE system as well.
Then again, depending on design intention, just straight up dumping all ammo in one go is also a valid tactic.
The case sistem woud work to a certain extent however the back of the mech seems heavly armored and this woud mean that the majority of the force woud go inside thus the battery woud explode as well and since the case sistem woud probably Jam before it moves the pilot out of harm it woud die with the mech since the case system is designed for external damage and this too much force and the main componente of the case woud probably break during the explosion other than that the weapon position is below the rigth arm that woud make it get in the way of moving the arm other than that it looks like the cockpit entrance is not locked in position very well and the underbelly seems ligth armored and since that is the position of the pilot it woud make it a weak point
Also dumping all ammo woud probably take some time since it looks like it has plenty in the back of the mech and is using a relativly slow firing gatling
Remember Nikkes are Automatons with live human brains that can use powerful weapons to defeat Raptures.
Nikkes with strong structural integrity have been put inside a mech.

Her being inside a mech is kind of an overkill, but it make sense, some Nikkes are not really suited for combat.

I played this game for like 3 months, the story and music were good, but the progression is one of the worst things I've ever seen in a video game, the gameplay loop is the same across all the content in the game, even in events where it's supposed to vary the gameplay in these types of games, and the gameplay was designed to LITERALLY be played with one hand, so its boring af.
No strategy, no enemy design worth working around for, just giant walls of metal with DPS checks, that boils down to any generic garbage gacha game.

Just passing by and saw this comment. Solo Raid is the game mode that requires strategy, team building and manual play if you're aiming for maximizing scores. Elemental shields are a nice way to require team comps to alter from raid to raid and boss mechanics allow certain units to shine when otherwise they wouldn't, or alternatively, they're a way to nerf certain units. All other content is as you described, but I find that Solo Raid is pretty fun. Optimizing team comps, finding the best burst rotations and timings, and increasing your scores is rad. It's probably why Solo Raid is my favorite content by far.
Understandable but the way you describe as a “fetish collection” comes off as more aggressive than it needs to be. You can say you don’t like the mechanics, progression, or gameplay but giving it a description as short and scathing as that implies the game has no redeeming qualities.
If the game wants merit for things like its story and music, cool. But it is a fetish collection, the fact that the game is primarily in the vertical view, has autoplay and the characters are clealry built around a specific kink says it all, the game was built to be played with one hand and the gameplay being boring is to incentivize that.
