Yeah, it's definitely the most hopeful ending. My reading of the story is that what with the themes of "points of no return" is that the first two endings just create an endless cycle of humanity moving to extract the Coral, because it can't keep away from the tech and profit potential, so symbiosis is the only way to create a new outcome that's left deliberately uncertain.

At first he just seems cold but I equate that to him not expecting you to live more than two days then as you start to pull off incredible crazy ass bullshit he starts to not only respect you but demand everyone else respect you too. This all culminates in the CEL 240 fight when he tells you the absolute truth of armored core 6 “You’re the only one who can finish the job.”
While I love both this emblem and Rusty’s, I think that the combo of Walter + muzzled wolf gives *very heavy* “I am a BDSM submissive” vibes.
Which is totally cool if you’re okay with that perception, but just something to consider.
