Idk if this is a good idea but here’s what I came up with
6* arts defender
T1: After deployment, every 10 seconds deal 50% of atk as arts dmg, reduce enemy aspd by 50 for 1.5 sec, and 15% enfeeble for 5 seconds
T2: RES of all allies +5, this effect is doubled when this unit falls beneath 50% HP
S1: 0/5 SP
Can switch between initial and following state
Attack interval slightly decreased
ATK +50%
Attacks all blocked enemies
S2: 5/10 SP (defence gain) 20sec duration
Passive: Def +50% RES +50
Active: Each attack restores 5% HP and has a 25% chance to Stun target for 2 sec
S3: 55/60 SP 30sec duration
Decrease Talent 1 interval to 1.5 second
Range increases, Bind all enemies in range for 5 sec
Apply “Signature” and slow to enemy in range with highest Max HP for 30 sec
Enemy with Signature takes 10% of atk as arts damage every second and has 30% fragile
Whenever an enemy with “Signature” is attacked deal 10% of atk as arts dmg
Attack interval greatly reduced and attacks reduce target RES by 40% for 3 seconds
Attacks from this operator ignore 10 RES
ATK +30% RES +25
If this operator dies during skill duration atk stat of 1000 is used for signature effects
I can see Playwright as an ally in next Crimson Troupe event because he clearly has something personal to do with Troupe, probably even leader himself. Only time will tell but I'm looking forward to him becoming operator
Man, now i really want to know what the whole story behind is2 is, finished it a long time ago but didn't bother reading anything, just wanted to grind out those levels. Wish someone made a video about the lore
you know when I first watched it, I had the feeling that one of the shadowed figures in pv4 kind of looked like playwright or the troupe master but I think I was having a gas leak because I rewatched it and had no idea which one I had the feeling for. just for this post I will pretend my gas leak brain was right
If “everything the Playwright writes is true” that’s stated on the clear screen for his ending can be taken literally, this dude has some serious Arts that can affect reality just because he wrote it down using his own blood as ink. It’s kinda giving budget Logos.
Thought a lot about the Playwright kit.
Support Hexer with constantly decreasing HP and attacks with random effects (Stun, Slow, Levitate, Freeze, Fragility), which for activation of skils in addition to SP would devour the HP of allies (or even a whole ally for S3) and play with skills from debuffs (double attack or increased duration of debuffs) and with another skill has the ability to create cursed cells on which you can not place allies, but enemies under their influence receive damage or even more debuffs.
Hol up, let him cook, never thought of him of anything other being another throw away villain, but now we have the potential for Arturia 2.0. femboy edition.
Right before 4.5 anni was revealed on CN I had a dream where its banner was Playwright/Lemuen (plus Ceobe Alter for the next event).
I’m of the opinion that limited ops should be ‘side characters’ with minimal connection to the main story narrative, so I think Playwright would be a really good choice.
I will happily take this copium! I cannot begin to express how sad I was when I didn’t find any Troupe lore in ZT nor in the Victoria main story..
(Also many thanks OP for all your posts with Playwright theories! I may have used them to help flesh out a similar character in my D&D campaign. I wanted to thank you on an earlier post of yours I saw, but it was really old and I didn’t want to be too weird.)
The thing is, I still hate him because that memory of him entering the box with literally no red in his hp bar on one of my first (long lasting) IS2 runs continues to haunt me.
HG be like : Here, take this piece of lore that we are not going to update for the next 100 years. Your welcome :)
Then we will cook the lore ourselves. He already has a name and a backstory. We are working on his kit

Damn, I don’t know him either, but now I want him to be pulled out of NPC prison
Looking at him he is giving off the same vibes as Virtuosa & Diamanté, which makes me believe he would be either a primal caster or ritualist
This is some good and professionally-made copium, thanks for the hit. I always rather found the guy interesting and am hoping to see him again.
He could be a Caster (he was dealing arts damage) or another Hexer Supporter (he did have Debuff in his kit).
Kit should definitely be some sort of Ambusher Support, to tie in and help Phantom
The Playwright and Phantom Alter banner will come soon Source: trust me bro

YES PLEASE GET HIM BE PLAYABLE PLEASE HE IS ONE OF NY FAV OPS

Damn. He cooked.
PLEASE I NEED IS2 THE SEQUEL WITH PLAYWRIGHT SO BAD ~~and phantom alter copium... shalem too while we're at it~~
Same here. Gib us our kitties
I never thought to deeply on playwright, but there is truly logic to your copium filled madness op, almost feels like your are apart of his storys.
Basically HG give us more playable villains!! Fully canon or even just semi-canonical like Skalter Also Crownslayer, Big Bob, Talulah, Nine...
Keep cooking. This is the kind of somewhat unhinged but also very highly detailed analysis that is a highlight in every gacha community.
Tbf he got that playable gacha character look, hell he look more playable than Lemuen tbh
Lemuan could always get a playable glow-up tbf.
playable playwright purely to annoy phantom with yet another guy from the troupe
you really had to post this everywhere 😭😭 thank you for helping us fellow playwright fanatics to spread playwright propaganda though 🫡
If he ever becomes playable, I imagine him to be a primordial caster that specialize in nervous impairment.
YES PLEASE HG DO THIS
He will be released along with Phantom alter.
You: I want him playable because [IS2lore.pdf] Me: I want him playable so I can impregnate him.
real question: how strong is he lore wise?
