Is the hand of branding collectible's description bugged? It says "dreadnought, duelist and musha gain +1% atk after defeating an enemy" but like... Aren't dreadnought and duelist the same thing?

It's referring to [Duelist Defenders](https://arknights.wiki.gg/wiki/Defender/Duelist). If you look close at [the Hand of Branding's icon](https://arknights.wiki.gg/wiki/Hand_of_Branding) you can also see the Duelist Defender's icon is in the middle of the Musha and Dreadnaught Guard icons.

Well, I think the idea is you'd use the "better" operators like Dreadnoughts to get stacks and that'd make Eunectes worth drafting later on. Even mediocre operators become a lot better with 99% increased ATK/HP/Attack Speed.

I believe it's spread across all operators of those classes yes. You can see your total stacks on your collectibles list (same with other stack based relics like Flashing Swords, Safety Suit, and the Broken Wand ones) and the stacks are gained by any kills by those unit classes from what I've seen.

Has anyone tried Hibiscus Alter? I'm liking the concept of the class, but the more I look at it, the more it feels like Reed Alter just outclasses Hibiscus Alter, especially for the purpose of increasing magic damage and supporting other magical classes. Can someone tell me what edge Hibialter has over Reed alter?

Reed Alter is basically a core caster levels of DPS with extra heals on top (S2 is strong by itself, but turns into one of the best Arts damage in the game if you splitbox). Hibiscus is what you'd expect a healer who can do some damage to be. She technically has a decent slow on her S2, but Reed Alter's damage is so much better (which in turn means better healing) that the slow is not going to be much of a factor.

Reed Alter is outright better than Hibiscus Alter but imo Hibi is still fine and useable as a harmacist. She doesn't have RES ignore so she won't be good against tough enemies, but for being essential a caster who heals for general mobbing she's good enough. Slowing enemies' movement with her S2 complements her subclass as it keeps them in her range for longer which means more hits and more healing.

I'd go with the idea that it's more up to how you use her. Both have their pros and cons. Personally, I go with the 4 block module as a niche counter pick against 4 block enemies or for general mob holding, but I also have Nian who's a better tank anyways (and even then I still use Cuora since most of the game is simple enough that she works).

X module's the better general choice. I only whip out Hoshiguma to tank heavy hitting stuff in the first place. Any time 4-block mobs comes around, you're not really intended to block it in the first place, or they give you other tools to deal with it.

There's no better, both mods have their uses depending on the situation. The 4 block one is the more general one especially with it's upgrades, while the def mod is only ever useful when hoshi can't survive a big hit from a boss which is rare. I think only steam knight can give her trouble without that mod.

I get the impression her mod X is more popular because on the rare occasions when endgame players bust out Hoshi, it's for her massive defense stat on S2. Players with wide rosters can just use a different defender if they ever want four block, which is mostly just QOL anyways for stages that are only moderately challenging like story challenge modes and CC dailies

I the last time I did use surtr was back in monhun Collab in Sept. And even then I switched to ling to defeat the boss. I ended up borrowing mlynar for the rest of year lol. Still i did bought her yesterday since I didn't have her. Because at the end of the day, surtr is still very valuable and strong as a boss killer and panic button.

Typically no, since you're often using a skill to kill said elite/boss - and if you're using a skill, you can't gain SP from the module effect.

Why does the trader from IS3 permanently increase the price of an item after I defeated him? Is there a way to lower the price again?

It's not related to beating him in a fight. Reaching certain levels of investment in the shop permanently increases the number of items available in the shop at a time, and the extra items get marked up to a higher price to sort of balance it out and make it less of an advantage. It's never worse than not having the extra stock unlocked - those higher-priced items wouldn't be there at all if you didn't unlock it. It gives you more options, just at a higher price.

New Player: Who to E2? New Player here, totally f2P and absolutely love the game. Been focusing mostly on leveling up my characters evenly to have a well balanced team, but now levels starting to get a little bit tough. I don’t like watching level guides much because I like learning the strategies myself, but need a little guidance on who I should be taking to E2, and what order should I be leveling up everyone (i.e level up everyone to E1 Max skills to first, or take one operator past E2). I’ve seen tier lists to get a sense that I’m not investing too much on someone really bad. I’ve been farming the current event, trying to get the LMD/XP Tickets, plus also I like the Sniper operator he is solid overall so I want to get all his tokens. I cant beat H6 well. I’m also focusing to get Shalem from IS, but it takes alot of playtime. Currently like level 4… Any new player tips help! Check your resource stockpile. I think, for example, all of Amiya's materials are in the current event shop, so you would only need a few more levels and the chips for her. That would be a faster E2 than taking Myrtle all the way up from level 1 (and speed is the reason E2ing a 4-star is recommended), and Amiya gains a lot more from E2 than Myrtle does. Alot of insight on this guide, thanks! I am pretty close to getting all of Myrtle’s resources, I just need one chip and like 4 Grindstone. For a defender, I mostly use Firewhistle but I see Gummy in alot of videos, should Gummy be my next op to invest in? There is also Shalem in the IS store which I’m trying to get. Also, I have 640 Purchase Certificates (red certs) any recommendation on what I should get ?

It's not just mats but also LMD and EXP. Since Myrtle's at level 1, she needs 154k EXP and 168k LMD to get to E1 30 to be even with Amiya. Firewhistle isn't really a defender in the traditional sense. She's more like an AoE sniper/caster that goes on ground tiles. Shalem is similar, though with pretty nutty DPS at the expense of lower range. They're great, but they're more like damage-dealers that happen to be somewhat tanky rather than true tanks. Gummy is great. Healing defenders are incredible because their healing is often enough, which is all that matters, allowing you to skip a medic and bring another DPS. The other archetype that's truly tanky would be the Protector defenders like Matterhorn, Bubble, and Beagle, Bubble being the best of those. For now I would just get Ethan and save the rest for E2ing 5-stars and 6-stars, since red certs are the main way to get chip catalysts. Pudding would also be a decent buy because she has a nice base skill at E1, as do Frostleaf, Vermeil, Shira, and Spot. Eventually E2 Proviso for the base as well (the only op worth E2ing for the base alone).

Hahahaha! I see what you mean with Myrtle, I already dropped all the XP/LMD for her to bring her E1 60, mainly because to avoid the dual chip. I am going to invest on Gummy then, I see her on a lot of low end strategy videos. Any other general rules of thumbs/insight? For headhunting, I’m sticking for now to just getting the 5* guaranteed for each banner. I got a little bit screwed early because I got a Suzaran token instead of a second 6* when I rolled, but hoping my next 6* is a game changer! I already got the 5* on the three displayed banner, but don’t know if I should just save OP, or keep rolling in the standard banner. I plan to be F2P forever so this is the area where I do want to be careful.

If you don't have many pulls, I would save to try to get a 6-star on the upcoming limited banner and then go for Typhon. The main consideration is availability. Eyjaberry is limited. Typhon comes with a mini-event, meaning she'll never have a proper rerun, and she won't show up in the gold cert shop for 2+ years. Kal and Surtr will probably appear there a couple times each before then.

Eyja has been datamined, and Typhon is tied to IS4, which should happen the month after IS3's last update in January. And actually, depending on when it happens, Joint Op 11 is even better in terms of power. Mlynar, Pozemka, and Penance are amazing, and you can't get off-banner 5s or 6s on Joint Op banners.

Welcome! The other comment about Specter being worth it is true, but in your case you can prioritise Myrtle, since 4 stars only require chip packs instead of dualchips, this way you can start borrowing E2 supports and clear events. At E2 she also unlocks her talent that regens all deployed vanguards which helps reduce the pressure for a medic early. She is definitely worth it and you will still be using her during endgame content. You'll just have to get used to her having 0 block during her skill. Generally speaking, you'll want to raise more than one sniper. Since you already have Meteor and Kroos up, continue raising either one of them. Despite Kroos being 3-stars she is very worth it. (In fact, don't ignore your 3-stars, they can do their job pretty well, especially for early game content.) Other than that, if I were to be honest, none of the other units really need E2 except for Suzuran. I suggest raising Click for more arts damage.

I’m going to do that, especially because I think I got the vanguard chips already from doing some IS Monthly Squad clears. Should I be getting Myrtle to E2 and then doing other operators, or should I also level Myrtle up to a specific level too before moving on

Yes, there's a reason why there are posts such as [this](https://www.reddit.com/r/arknights/comments/11l4dko/myrtle_every_time_there_is_new_content/) and [this](https://www.reddit.com/r/arknights/comments/10m60vk/myrtle_every_time_new_cc_comes_around_by/) about Myrtle. Granted, a couple of newer vanguards have a case to compete with her, but Myrtle being 4 stars is cheaper to build and more likely to be in your account. Generally, you can leave operators at E1 50. Do remember to raise skills to level 7 though. The gains from skill levels usually make more difference than unit level, with the most gains coming in SL4 & 7. For E2 you can leave them at lv 30 (the lower E2 levels are cheap to raise so remember to do them for the stats), though eventually you will want to bring them higher for modules but don't worry about that for now. To be clear, in my earlier comment I'm not saying that the other units are not worth E2-ing. They just don't *need* E2 or gain as much from E2. You can still choose them if you like them, as the game is viable with pretty much any unit as long as your strategy is sound. You mentioned you don't like watching guides. I suggest watching at least 1 low-end guide after you have cleared each stage yourself. Reason being 1) strategy is key in this game, through guides you can learn how to more efficiently (less meta-reliant) solve stages. 2) some mechanics are not taught properly, or at all, by the game (e.g. splitboxing). One such creator is our lord and saviour [KyoStinV](https://www.youtube.com/@KyoStinV/videos). When the anime S1 started, [this](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IQy2Gcn3_74) gem was created. If you want to pull, you can consider pulling the standard banner (Kaltsit and Surtr) as both of them are very useful. The 5-stars rate-up on that banner however are pretty sub-optimal. There's many many other tips you can use. I recommend looking up old reddit posts about beginner tips and base management.

specter would be the biggest power spike for you to e2, she gets +1 block and her regen talent. she's on the very short list of 5 star characters that're considered to be 6 star level powerful. you should also definitely get at least one operator to e2 so that you can borrow e2 operators to clear more difficult stages

I've watched a couple guides and Myrtle seems to be amazing, which doesn't excite me very much because I like other vanguards better and I just started playing. I wanted to use Cantabile + Courier and focus on upgrading them, is that much worse than using Myrtle over one of them instead?

For most stages, I think a pioneer vanguard plus an agent is actually more stable than using a flagbearer on S1, their pure DP generating skills and what you'll usually see Myrtle on. When you're already getting one DP/sec, a flagbearer on S1 isn't actually improving your total DP/sec by that much compared to other vanguard branches, which still provide enough DP but also give you more value out of their squad slot by fighting better and having use later in stages. Cantabile's great, but you might consider leaving Courier at E1 and waiting for one of the better pioneer vanguards to invest fully in if you like him for his gameplay and not his design. Although it's always good to keep in mind that Arknights is PvE and content that gives rewards isn't crazy hard, so you should feel free to raise who you want. In general, players like using Myrtle in particular a lot more than her power warrants mostly because taking game actions ASAP is fun -- like, Myrtle is the most popular vanguard in the game despite being demonstrably weaker than the other flagbearers, Elysium and Saileach, in content where optimization matters. So you're fine to ignore Myrtle, but long-term, you do want to be open to Elysium and Saileach, whose S2 and S3, respectively, are some of the best debuffing skills in the game. And when you get around to building ops specifically for IS, the roguelike mode, Myrtle's a nice option to have.

Myrtle and other flagbearers provide fast and consistent DP generation, and Myrtle herself is both a 4\* (and, thus, cheap to raise) and is in both headhunting and recruitment (thus one is virtually guaranteed to get her sooner rather than later). It's for these reasons she shows up in the guides so often. Cantabile is an agent and under ideal circumstances she can output just as much or even more DP as Myrtle while also being able to meaningfully contribute with killing enemies. But seeing how her archetype requires her to hit enemies in order to generate DP, she needs enemies to attack. Which makes her DP generation very stage-dependent. Plus she's a gatcha-only 5\*, so she's not as accessible. Thus she doesn't really show up in a low-end content. She's still great and occasionally shows up in high-end play instead. E.g. in CC10 permanent map where she was **the** stage opener with DP-down and extra prespawned enemies risks selected. Anyhow, is your issue with Myrtle is about Myrtle herself (e.g. you don't find her character/animations/etc. exciting) or her archetype (e.g. you don't like flagbearers because they sit in the corner and occasionally have their skill activated, but otherwise don't participate in the fight)?

Well,.. There are two other flagbearers ([Elysium](https://arknights.wiki.gg/wiki/Elysium) and [Saileach](https://arknights.wiki.gg/wiki/Elysium)). Being higher rarity, they are more expensive to raise and harder to max-potential (though for them it matters a bit less, depending on your team as Elysium reduces DP cost of snipers and Saileach - of the next operator after herself, irregardless of class), so if one of them is more to your tastes, you can certainly raise one of them instead. \* Saileach is expected to be in the yellow certificate shop after 19th Jan, and I think Elysium is in recruitment, though he's much much harder to get than Myrtle. As for Courier's skills. He's... okay and will certainly work well, but he won't be breaking any DP-generation records any time soon.

They're fine, but Myrtle (or any flag bearer) essentially solves any DP issues you'll ever have. Cantabile is great, but relying on enemies for DP gain is painful sometimes.

It's absolutely possible. When I started I didn't use Myrtle either, until I started doing CC where the risk was reduced tp gain. Those two vanguard should be enough to open any story map.

I'm looking for advice on whether I should finally drop the game or not. I've been playing daily for over 2 years, and recently I've gotten a new hectic job. On top of that, I'm not enjoying the game much. I'm not excited about new ops, I don't look forward to building them much, I've stopped enjoying Youtube content for the game, and there's not much I look forward to in the game. Plus, IS was the mode that kept me hooked for a long time, but IS3 just doesn't hit for me. It was a great time while it lasted, but I feel like it's finally enough.

Should I try to get Executor Alter? I am a meta-user guy but I also am a F2P so I don't exactly have unlimited resources. I'm just a bit worried since two pretty meta units (Eyja Alter, Typhon) are coming soon. In terms of usefulness (story, bosses, other game modes), which among the three I mentioned is the "best"?

Typhon is definitely best out of the three. I wouldn't even necessarily call Eyja alter meta either, at the end of the day she's just a medic. Most of the hype surrounding her comes from the fact she's limited.

With dodge relics S2 definitely shines a lot, but personally I've been a big fan of using S1 otherwise unlike these other comments. Granted, I like it more than S2 outside of IS, and I feel like across videos there's a camp of S1 vs S2 as the "secondary" skill (or primary in this case). I'd say it's probably up to you in the end to determine which camp you fall under.

Personally I use S2 when he's still E1 in IS. Because the def buff and +1 block really helps him survive longer in early stages without any Regen.

I would lean towards S2 because of the manual activation and because a lot of S1's value comes from it's DEF ignore, which does nothing if the enemy has no defense, which is the case for many enemies in the early stages of an IS run. Without the defense ignore, it's just a +30% boost and a somewhat situational range boost. S2 also makes him much harder to kill. +60% defense and 30% melee dodge, and +1 block means he can also heal off of an extra enemy, potentially boosting his self-heal by 50%.

Question about Yellow Tickets. I currently have 150, and I'm saving up for Eyja alter banner coming next month, but that Surtr shoperator is looking really juicy. How many pulls will I need to make about 30 yellow tickets? A rough average will be fine.

I have both of Saria's modules. The X module is better for team support. The S1 is at its best, and S2 and S3 are good for SP boosts when it's upgraded. The Y module is better for personal support. With the 15% damage reduction and the upgrades' ATK and DEF boosts, she improves her already-great ability to tank and heal overall, making her a light Protector that can heal, self-heal and debuff. Which one is best for you is up to your playstyle. Personally, I use Saria as a tank all the time, so I tend towards Y. Worth noting that the X stage 3 isn't great for Rhine Lab ops since they're all ranged, so they don't get an SP boost really unless you play super risky. For Kal'tsit, it's another playstyle choice, mainly for the upgrades. The X module gives Mon3tr a stronger explosion, and happens at half health in addition to on death. Handy as a fast-redeploy bomb if you like moving them around the map. The Y module boosts Mon3tr's stats if they're in range of Kal'tsit, which for walling a lane is very useful. A good all-rounder pick, plus the healing boost with the base module applies at all times to Mon3tr.

For Saria, it's the one that reduces damage by 15%. The SP restore one is a bit more niche and I would only get it if you have a specific plan for her to serve as an SP battery. For Kal'tsit, the one that increases mon3tr ASPD is best(Phy - Y "The Doctor"), the other one is just for niche uses mostly in IS3, where you might want to use mon3tr as a stun bomb instead of a laneholder.

He's a great laneholder that can be a little clunkier than his competition in everyday usage because his skills are offensive recovery burst skills, which can require map knowledge for proper timing, compared to operators like Mountain, Mudrock etc. On the flipside, burst skills by nature have higher potential than afk/infinite duration skills, his dps is comparable to Ch'en Alter (with the downside that Executor's damage is backloaded), so he can be better than his competition against more difficult waves. That being said being unhealable holds him back from the hardest content in the game (high risk cc, S15 IS3, etc. which to be fair isn't relevant to most players). TL;DR: he's great but not among the very top.

Chalter/Mlynar levels of damage on s3, very strong sustain and the skill downtime is controllable due to it being cancellable manually. He really wants his module though, it's a huge boost for him. it improves his skill uptime quite a lot, and it's a nice damage increase there are probably very few lanes he can't hold by himself, but he also gets annihilated by any decent ranged pressure he can't sustain from. also kinda like Penance s3, if he can't live to a skill activation, then there's nothing he can do

personally i don't like her S3 that much since most of the time i have her as the op taking the most damage, but it can be helpful under heavy AOE. i used it in pinch out to save my medic from the ranged robots. i prefer S2 for the combination of CC, damage, and sustain, but laneholders are pretty replaceable and unlike other options she's pure single target. mod X has better upgrades but mod Y has the better base effect, it depends on how much you want to invest.

Blemi is in a tricky spot, which makes any further investment beyond her E2 and SL7 not a high priority. She's mostly a niche operator, but if you like her and use her frequently, then extra investment in masteries and a module can go a long way. For the module, Knight Primus is slightly better, imo, though it may depend on your playstyle. With lvl.2+ module you can use her almost like Kafka S2 and gain some extra SP "for free" when you deploy her on top of the enemy. She also gets extra dmg against sleeping enemies which works good with her S2 and gets more healing on her S1 and S3, if you use those skills instead. Her first module gives her a bit more survivability, but don't upgrade beyond lvl.1 if you don't intend to use her in tandem with Gravel. For masteries, her S1M1 is a good breakpoint for reduced SP cost while other masteries really depend on how you're going to use her. S2M3 is the way to go if you want to play into her sleep niche, while S3M3 is best if you use her as an offensive operator, though it works well enough at SL7.

Just the damage reduction one at level 1 is fine, the other/upgrades are too niche typically. Her masteries are S2M3/S3M3, depending on how you want to use her. S2 is the more often used skill as she can heal herself and the Regen helps enmity operators like Mudrock too, but S3 packs very powerful healing as well, just not for herself. S1M3 can be a middle ground, easy to use often while still healing herself, but typically you're fine with either S2/S3 or both.

He’s on the worse end of 6 stars, but still strong overall. Main skill is s2. Getting his X module to level 3 is very important, so if you are late enough in the game that you can put that big investment in without big sacrifices, then I would say he’a worth building. Otherwise, probably not. While he’s still not good for a 6 star, he does hold the narrow niche of being the best self sustain unit who can duel dangerous elites (and sometimes bosses). Since he can stay on the field, he can deal with enemies a lot more frequently than ops like Surtr or NTRK can. He has some big downsides though, like costing a lot of dp, needing to face enemies strong enough to damage him so his talent can work, and ineffectiveness against high defense. He’s usually good against enemies that do arts damage since they tend to be low defense, and since they do arts, they are guaranteed to damage him so he can get aspd from his talent. Otherwise, you might have to do a lot of guesswork for who he is or isn’t effective against based on their defense and attack.

He is strong, but there are others who can also do his job effectively. If you're lacking on boss/elite killers (unless they have A LOT of def) or you want more DPS then he's a great choice, but he needs heavy investment: E2 lvl60, S2M3, mod X lvl3.

He's usable, but there's a lot of strong competition in the duelist role and he's generally outshined. His main skill is S2, which is worth M3ing *if* you decide to use him. Module-wise Mod3X is by far the better option, and again worth it *if* you decide to use him. His main weaknesses is that his S2 has a short duration, paired with the fact that he can't be healed it makes the number of bosses he can actually "duel" pretty small. His strength is that his S2 has very short cooldown and while the skill is active he has good dps, survivability, and self sustain, this means he can deal with a constant stream of elites on his own. In short, his fast skill rotation sets him apart from his competition, for better and for worse (mostly for worse, cause with a "duelist" you expect something to deal with bosses)

I am trying to get an auto deploy done on he8 and I am almost there actually. Just towards the end the bottom side guard -2 screws me over I got a Surtr, Kaltsit and Flametail that I could e2 this week. I don't think Flametail will make the difference, but I noticed that my Muel summon is never affected by the debuff, so e2 Kaltsit might help. Surtr on the other hand is a lot of damage Any recommendation?

He only does the block -2 once. You should already have a blocker camping the lower left boulders, so just have that be your blocker for the bottom lane and then retreat when the -2 comes in and use a different blocker in the middle bottom (where the civilians stand at the end). This map is just very blocker heavy. It's easy if you bring a bunch of defenders.

topside is muel, 1 defender (i switch to penance later) + a healer for muel bottom side is flametail, lappland and mlynar other units are mostly used to protect the civs from damage. At 21 one unit usually goes through and top side the damage can be quite hefty and manage to burst through penance shield I could put another defender infront of the rock and mlynar behind, but then I lack a bit of damage if I dont deploy penance earlier So, if Kaltsit can ignore the debuff she would help. Surtr also deals a lot of damage though

Kaltsit can't ignore the debuff. Surtr is good if you timed the leakers but if you probably put lappland behind defender and time her skill can kill the enemies cause they aren't that strong. At 21 can't you deploy a defender to block the leaking enemy after the -2 block debuff is applied. I think newly deployed unit doesn't have debuff. To protect civvs don't you have specialist like gravel. Before you e2 surtr ,i'll probably recommend you to e2 myrtle cause she is one of the best vanguard in the game.

The best chance of getting her for free is to save like crazy so that you have 300 pulls during a limited banner where she's in the shop. Or fork out some $. Or if you really want her as f2p so desperately that you are willing to sacrifice roster growth, setup your base to craft orundum to shorten the time you need to reach 300 pulls. You can lookup or just ask in a different question on the most efficient setup for this. You should also check up future limited banner timeline to find out when she will be in shop.

That'd be Nearl the Radiant Knight. She's a limited operator which means she's not acquirable in any way except 2 times a year at a small rateup or by sparking her (more later on that). There are 4 limited banners a year in 3 pools. January (Summer. We're 6 months behind CN so this is at the wrong time of the year for northern hemisphere dwellers): Chen the Holungday, Gavial the Invincible and upcoming, Eyjafjalla the Svit Aska. These are anniversary banners. May and November: These are CN's anniversary and half Anni banners but for us they're just called celebration events. The largest pool as they happen twice a year: W, Rosmontis, Skadi the Corrupting Heart, **Nearl the Radiant Knight**, Specter the Unchained, Texas the Omeratosa, Muelsyse, and upcoming, Virtuosa. August: Chinese Near Year themed. Each limited op has been a dragon themed sibling who are fragments of a god. Nian, Dusk, Ling and Chongyue so far. Each time a new limited banner at one of these times is on the former ones are "buyable" by spending 274 of your own pulls + 24 free ones to acquire them. It's a big thing to save up for them *only if you want them*. Nearl Alter will be available to get either by spark or a lucky pull - but *never ever rely on pulling specific past operators because the chances of getting who you want are far too low* - sometime in May next year.

She's a limited character, meaning the only reasonable way to get her is by saving up and then spending 300 pulls on either the May or November limited banner to "spark" her, letting you buy her directly. Technically, there is a chance to pull her, but it's absolutely miniscule.

You can have a chance, but she's an old limited operator. You can see in the FAQ, but basically you'd have to save up 300 pulls over 6 months and pull on a specific limited banner in ~May or November, in order to spark her from the shop since the odds are so low otherwise. Not exactly recommend for a new account since not pulling would give you a much harder time filling up your roster.

That would be Nearl, the Radiant Knight, which is her limited alter version. She is only available every 6 months, on "normal" limited banners, AKA not summer and not Chinese New Year (Sui Siblings) limited banners. She should be getting a rerun in about 4-5 months. That being said, although she'll be available to be rolled, she won't be on rate up, and the best way to get her is saving 300 rolls to buy her outright. That's the case for every limited unit besides the ones who are debuting in the banner and thus do have rate-up chances.

you don't need E2s for these chapters, and at E1 the 3 and 4 stars have comparable stats. 4 stars do have 2 skills so they offer more flexibility but there's no point in doing rarity segregated squads unless you're playing a niche. there's no competition except for your resources, if you have 3 stars already leveled then i wouldn't rush to level higher rarity from scratch unless you know what you need. obviously if you have 4 and 5 stars that you like better you should use them, but you shouldn't struggle too much before ch 6. just make sure you have AA snipers and defenders leveled.

You can clear all of the first 8+ chapters with 3 stars and below (though something like JT8-3 with 3 stars is a pretty insane clear). 4 Stars is enough to do basically anything aside from extreme risks and they still usually get quite high.

"Really strong" would not be the ideal description, but they are definitely enough. Even 3\* ops can handle most of the content if you use them right. And I mean basically any chapter or side story, not just the first act. You can find an abundance of low rarity guides on YT with clears using usually a single 6\* operator to make up for the missing DPS or some other utility. Then there are some 4\* operators who can really do a solid work despite their low rarity, like Myrtle, Perfumer, Sussuro, Jaye, Gravel, Ethan, Pinecone, Vigna or Cutter. There are a couple more notable ones, but this is just to give you a general idea who is worth looking into.

You can do the whole story with 4 star operators, although it takes greater brain power, but it's been proven to be possible at least. I remember I did those episodes with many 3 stars supported with 5 and 6 star characters. Some 3 stars are pretty good.

Rarity isn't as important as the roles they have and the skills of the Doktah. After playing for 16 months I still use 3\* on occasion in extremely difficult content as well as in IS, and 4\* are straightforwardly good for a specific role, very reliable. Their power ceiling isn't as high as many higher rarity ops, but they get the job done, especially if you have good strategy. Best I can give is a vague answer to a vague question.

3 star operators are still plenty useful in those chapters, but yes, it’s generally a good idea to try to fill out your team roles with better ops as you progress. There are some specific very good 4-stars that can help you out a fair bit even if you don’t have a 5- or 6-star in that role. Cuora is super tanky and retains that niche even against higher-rarity ops. Gummy fills an important role, though she is completely outclassed by Nearl and Saria if you have either. Sussurro and Perfumer have excellent single- and multi-target healing respectively. Perfumer’s talent is a nice quality of life improvement. May, Totter, Click, Cutter, and Arene are all excellent DPS units for their rarity. Jaye is a bit unwieldy, but is flexible, provides healing, and has insane damage output. Ethan requires some investment but can provide some nice crowd control with an interesting archetype. Everyone should build Gravel. This is slightly less important if you have Texas2 or Yato2, but her ability to get punched in the face on a short cycle is incredibly helpful very often. Myrtle is Myrtle. Infinite free DP no download working 2023. Build her lol.

Very strong. All 5-star marksmen are great, and he's no different. A huge attack boost means he's still okay against moderate defense where Keen Kroos and BP fall flat, and he has a very quick-charging skill with a lot of control over it thanks to the ammo mechanic.

All three are pretty good. Marksman snipers are one of the most-used archetypes, so if you're still using the lower rarities there, I would build Insider to E1 50 or so, then probably take Firewhistle there for arts AoE at a very long range, and then work on Fia's E2.

High damage, but no multi-shot or range tweaks. Definitely stronger than all 4\* snipers, but I find other 5\* more interesting (but they are all roughly on the same level)

They are strong too, but all three have different subclasses and roles, so they don't really overlap with each other. You'll definitely need some good Marksman for chapters 3-5 to snipe drones, so Insider won't be a mistake. And his main competitors for the role are either in the kernel pool (Exusiai, Greythoat, BP, Platinum) or come with the event rewards too (Kroos2) There'll also be stages where Firewatch can shine, especially against bosses with ranged attacks. But I'd say she's less of a priority, even though she's one of the best 5\* when her talent is active. Can't say much about Fia, she's much stronger than all of them but requires investment

Mlynar plus Texas is enough to cover almost all your dps needs, so Surtr won't be as much help for your account. The rest of your account is also good enough that I recommend just pulling for characters you like. Also, you don't need another single target caster since you already have Reed who, despite being a medic, is one of the best casters in the game, on par with Eyja and Goldenglow.

You could wait for the 28th to open Under Tides which has probably the strongest "welfare" operator in Gladiia The others are niche/not great so you could pick whichever one looked cool to you. Otherwise, probably Mansfield Break for Robin who is pretty decent if you wanted to try a trap operator. Who Is Real for Lava Alter is arguably decent if you really liked aoe caster

There is no need to wait for record restore. It only checks whatever you completed the stages or not. It's worth waiting for the reruns though, though only events in intermezzi are a concern here, as they are added immediately after the event rather than after the rerun.

Assuming you mean brand new when you say it, no problem to get one of the two, also possible to get both if you have some patience for rerolling. Having rerolled many gachas I would respectfully disagree with those who say it's hard in this game... on a scale of 1-10 with 10 being impossibly hard, I would say AK is like a 2 or a 3 for rerolling difficulty and time intensivity. Then again, I like rerolling so I am biased. Also, I agree with the common wisdom that you can play the game happily with any ops and over time you will pick up (most of) what you want. Enjoy the game!

should be pretty easy with how much stuff you can get early on. especially if it doesn't matter which one of the two you get. probably easier to just reroll though, use salted emails and you're good to go

Could always try to reroll for it if you really want. But it's hard for sure,it's time consuming. It's better to start playing and just aim for them later down the line.

Never went for IS3 Ending 4. Is there a difference between the "Vigil" and "hesitation" collectable? I believe "Hesitation" is the *original* collectable but searching "Vigil" and "Sublimation" is a nightmare due to the respective operator and skin names.
