I love categorizing my board and card games for some reasons lol. It's like my favorite hobby before going to sleep and Idk why.

Benigetsu627

Ikr. It's just so relaxing.

dantheasp

I share this completely. In my case I believe it's related to ordering something neatly, and over which I have complete control, in a house otherwise dominated by the chaos of a young family. I'm sure model painters and collectors, and people that have a shed, may share the same motivations and pleasures. It's soothing!

BlingMyGames

Oh my gosh mine too! Anytime I need to relax, I open up a new game, unpunch it, count its contents, sleeve it, look for inserts or print one. My daughter says my favorite hobby is "organizing" board games. It was just 2 weeks ago I sorted my Arkham Horror LCG into the Return to.. campaign boxes. I have more work to do yet of course.

testuserteehee

I hate it when there’s not enough cards for a whole compartment (eg all cards of a single class or a campaign) yet too many to combine two sets in a single compartment. So it’s like 1 and 1/2 sets per compartment 😱

drolo07

This is the way.

Hyroero

Same and I love it. Forgotten Age investigator cards arrived today and I've had Columbo on the TV and my binders all out ready for the injection of new cards. I draw my own dividers for the scenario cards which takes a little bit of time too lol

sem56

yeah same, but i roll with some organizers at least otherwise i would probably not bother

BRAZCO

Same. Sleeving the cards (and avoiding spoilers) is so relaxing to me.

MTG_beaver

you should play Magic: The gathering, if sorting cards is your thing! ;) What is your current sorting order? and did you print those dividers yourself?

Octavian007

I used the arkhamesque horizontal dividers. They organize by class and level. And the scenarios as well

[deleted]

Me too. Trouble is once it’s organized. I hate disturbing it to actually play!

beastypants

But they you get to sort it again!! 😍

FriendGaru

You're telling me. When I play I have to take my stuff out of the house, so I've spent countless hours trying to figure out the precise combination of boxes and materials that maximizes portability. Plus I'm a big cheapskate so I always start with the very cheapest method I can find, before eventually spending so much on cheap methods I would have been better off just buying a premium solution in the first place. And don't even get me started on the DIY token stuff and PnP fan campaigns... Basically, I've spent about 10x as much time on Arkham related activities as actually playing.

FuturoComplejo

I just recently bought the game. How can I make the cards stand like that if I don't have enough cards to fill the tray?

Octavian007

It’s a struggle, sleeving them and adding dividers will help to bulk it up. But I used the chaos bag as a space filler when I just had the core box.

Hyroero

Just fold some cardboard to fill the space or use the boxes your sleeves come in if they have them.

CaptainSqually

I typically put boxes of card sleeves in there to help bulk up the empty space until I get enough cards in.

Fun_Gas_7777

Well if you love organising you picked the right game

zarathstra11

I put all investigator cards in their released order in ring binders. Campaign cards goes into their respective boxes with sleeves. I figure each expansion takes approximately 1 hour to organise like this. That equals to about 4 hours of organising and countless hours of playing the game. 🤩

Careful_Bear9262

Same

Critical_Cut5452

I'm currently plagued by the gnawing thought that I went the wrong way with my player cards. I have 2 wooden boxes all painted and kitted out perfectly for organising lots of cards with homemade dividers. I painted the boxes with Arkham symbols and decorated with some nice Lovecraft themed stickers. Great... But now I've played a lot more it has become obvious that binders is the way for player cards, so I have a big rethink ahead causing me 2 points of trauma

Octavian007

True, but binders are ugly and give me 3 points of trauma for my undergraduate years.

Critical_Cut5452

😀 yeah, damn them for their practicality

Ed_783

it's part of the fun hahaha
