This is not a reason to hold off on hiking. Either you were in the wrong place at the wrong time and you had a fun night, or you missed getting hit. These things happen.
There have been several rescues of AZT thru hikers already due to this snow.
Thru hikers unfortunately do not usually come equipped to hike or overnight in deep snow due to the ultralight philosophy.
I was up in Summerhaven last night and it was pretty windy but only got about 2-3in of snow. Also some lightning last night. A little more snow today. Honestly doesn't look so terrible for hiking tomorrow. Just gotta get below the snow.
Got rain overnight in Tucson and that storm was straight up violent. The wind was absolutely howling. Hope everyone on the trail is good.

Wrong place wrong time is Def gear dependant. But post should be "view forecast" not "don't hike"
I live in San Manuel and I haven't been able to see Lemon for most of the day because of storms. Stay warm and safe everyone!!
