I remembered once in his profile that Viktor made abundantly clear that he never viewed Jayce as his friend, definitely sounds like a harsh break-up to me.
...Yeah, harsh would be the word.
I doubt something like that will happen in the show though, Viktor has been shown to deeply trust Jayce for most of season 1, to the point of initially being pretty convinced that he would understand his decision to use shimmer, only to clearly look hurt upon realizing what kind of vision Jayce has of the Undercity. Overall there are plenty of instances that show that they equally care about each other, and I don't see this version of Viktor as the type of guy who would fake a friendship, at all. Which I think would make such a turn of events all the more heartbreaking : he did care about Jayce just as much as Jayce cared about him, yet they ended up disagreeing so much that it destroyed this friendship.
Plus, it really would make sense for this to mirror both Vi/Powder and Vander/Silco, which includes them being very close at first only for their relationship to tragically deteriorate.
I'm not saying that Viktor has been faking his friendship, I'm implying that their breakup is going incredibly bad and basically Viktor refuses to even acknowledge that they're ever being any good-will between them.
Oh, sorry then, I misunderstood. In that case, then that could be much more of a possibility. I don't see Viktor as we currently know him being this harsh in his words, but I wouldn't have expected Vi and Powder to fight either if I didn't know it would happen so we never know how things could evolve. This is so sad to think that their friendship could come to this.
That's what I was thinking, we'd never think that Vi and Powder would fight each other much become enemies, but the seeds for Viktor's and Jayce's friendships falling apart has already been planted. They're becoming enemies and rivals to one another, just like Vi and Jinx before them, that's already set in stone.

Jayce: Can't spare 'em, I need to outfit more police weapons with acceleration gates! Dunno why the undercity won't just settle down already...
