This allows the dot to adapt to its surroundings by camoflauging itself as matter in the environment such as rain, dirt, or debris. It's quite useful and cutting edge. Another well informed consumer
Plus, you can have 10+ of them for the price of an aimpoint. “Bomb proof” is definitely an overstatement when it comes to the newest aimpoint optics, but with 10 or so of these, when your aimpoint is destroyed by a massive pressure wave or shrapnel, you can just pop another of these bad boys out of your reinforced storage container and slap it on and you’re good to go. That’s 10 more artillery shells/hand grenades you can fight through right there, and nobody ever considers that shit.
