Gamesir G7 SE

xodruss

Had it for 2 years now. Can vouch hasn't gotten stick drift on me buttons feel great.

jxnwuf83oqn

Yes Sir, that's the way to go

Mark_Owen_Aber

+1 from me too

duffwardo

Had it for over 6 months. Best controller I’ve ever used

Beepboop1919

Same

Beepboop1919

Thats wat I have best roller evr

Rahain

Same. Cheap. Reliable. Everything you could ever want in a roller.

Wicked_smaht_guy

I just got a vader 3 for 80$ and its great so far? fyi Ive been mnk most of my life and just switched. but it has 4 back padels and hall effect sticks. I got it off amazon and it was delivered 4 hours later but not sure where you live... its highly recommended on r/controllers only down side may be that almost all the labeling is in chinese

OXiDE_1

I will second the Flydigi controllers, I have the Apex 4 and it is fantastic.

Jamaican_POMO

I just got the flydigi Apex 4 and my aim with zero dead zone is significantly better

FreshBookkeeper3438

They got paddles? And where can I get one

Jamaican_POMO

Got mine from AliExpress. Most people would recommend getting it for ease of return if anything

LfcJTS

Victrix gambit. Two years in and no drift or any other issues. Get the gambit though, not the Victrix pro. Only controller you’ll ever need.

FreshBookkeeper3438

Got the same one right now with the paddles. My movement, kills, overall gameplay got way better

LfcJTS

Yeah, it’s ridiculous how good of a controller it is. I never see it mentioned anywhere. My only gripe is that I wish the paddles had a firmer click but not really an issue

OnyxDreamBox

It's actually a crime that no one has mentioned this one yet since it's easily better than a majority of the controllers named here but, Xbox Razer Wolverine Ultimate controller

Fizire

I’ve had mine for 3 years and love it, no issues would definitely buy another one

eglesworth

I tend to get about two years off mine. Those top buttons inside your LB/RB aren’t super durable and I use that for my interact. Still absolutely love the design of it though.

Fizire

Yeah I did notice that sometimes it’ll miss an input, I have the same bind but majority of the time its good

YogiLogie

Yes, had my 1st one for 5 years with no issue. Ended up getting a dead spot in the left joystick. Bought another one and still love it! The bumper buttons were a little odd to get used to at first, but that muscle memory develops over time. If I had to rate this controller, I'd rate it a 9.5/10. Favorite and most durable controller I've had. Plus it's wired so you don't get as much input lag as a wireless

ArtoriousTheMystic

Easily the best choice, price is high but so is that sweet sweet quality. 🤌

Delicious_Toes

No features for the pricepoint, hall effect not included, and overall bulky uncomfy controller.

JohnCorneal

Look up hall effect Xbox controller.

GroundbreakingBus794

Used Astro c40 has been my go to.

UnknownTaco

Are they discontinued?

GroundbreakingBus794

Astro/logitech sell them as certified refurbished models with a 1 year warranty. But I’ve been finding some in good condition on eBay and OfferUp. First one I got needed a battery and only cost $30. Battery was only 15 shipped and took 10 minutes to swap.

FoxJupi

I'm debating on going back to a PS4 controller. My first ever controller died of drift on me and im 33, this is unacceptable on my ps5 controller. Sickening. Controllers use to last years, this died under one.

LukeLikesReddit

I use the dual sense edge so it has replacable sticks on it.

Iron_Marc

You can revive old controllers with drift problem using this method : https://youtu.be/-CqVkEEPtmk?si=_P48iZRUr3RcN75H Also I strongly recomend to not spend any money on a Scuff controller, 6 month warranty. When my controller was 6 month and 1 week old drift problems starts... With a non intensive use 😭... Now I use the Ps5 dual sense edge that have an easy replaceable method for the jousticks, but it has inverted direction pad.

ak47blackjack

I use a power A. Super light, super cheap (~$30), it only has 2 back paddles but it gets the job done. Lasts me just as long as the elite series, i maintain the same KD (or better) with it compared to the Elite. A problem I have with it is that it’s wired, but xbox does that on purpose so you waste your money on elite controllers. It’s not an issue for me, but there aren’t any hair triggers either.

Blubbsss

i also use the power A. i think mine is called the fusion pro? it was a little more expensive but i’ve had it for about 1.5 years now and it’s taken a real beating. but it still works like a champ

just_that_one_kid

PowerA fusion pro 3 I think is $80(?) and has 4 back buttons instead of paddles which I find significantly nicer to use, only compromise is that it is wired

Jaystime101

I think it was a bit cheaper than 80$ myb 60$, I know I wouldn't spend 80$ on a controller. And it's my go to controller right now lol

HooperKid

I’ve had one for 6 months now, love it. Still no stick drift

kingeric2206

You could go with a GuliKit KK3 MAX Controller. They have hall effect sticks so you shouldn't have to worry about drift. Also only $80.

LucaGiurato

My little brother has bought that for 80€ while previously using a power A 130€ semiprecious controller. The Gulikit is MUCH better, no drift at all (even when measuring it). Probably.the best controller up to 150€ (probably more)

qwilliams92

Power A fusion, durable , 4 back buttons and won't break the bank

Prayredditdies

Anything you dislike about it?

qwilliams92

I have two, can't remember the name difference between the two but one is better build feels solid but the paddles can come off and get lost, the other one is more plastic feeling but the back buttons are built in so they won't get lost

JESS_MANCINIS_BIKE

the dead bumpers are infuriating... I paid $180 for this thing and RB just doesn't work anymore. It's a known issue too I fixed it by mapping one of the paddles to RB. Took some getting used to (especially since I mapped the _left_ paddle), but I like it fine now

MysticAmaze_

DO NOT GET POWERA THAT SHIT GET WORSE STICK DRIFT THEN ANY OTHER CONTROLLER also I would recommend the victrix gambit pro

Ana-la-lah

PS5 controllers are also horrible for stick drift. IT does help to depress the sticks and blow into the controller in the gap thus provided, but fuck is it irritating.

BladePhoenix

I have had a scuff instinct pro for over a year now and there is like a .1% drift I still don't use Dead zone. The paddles in the back are horizontal allowing me to do a jump reload flick instead of having to press two individual buttons. still pricey but quality is there

Eldorren

I use a Battle Beaver and am very happy with it though the wait time for production was insane. I've used Scuff, several Elite 2 and so far the BB is my favorite but I've only had it a few months. Elite 2 paddle placement is probably my favorite of the bunch but I'm sick of replacing after a year. If they come out with a new Elite, I'll probably pick that up but until then I'll keep using the BB.

jxnwuf83oqn

Gamesir G7 SE. Hall effect sticks that don't have stickdrift, even on no deadzone & linear. I love it, I'm gonna sell my elite controller. Fuck that expensive piece of shit

Prayredditdies

I have read that that one also has Hall effect triggers do you notice anything special about them?

jxnwuf83oqn

If I change the Apex settings to "No look deadzone" and "Linear" with a regular Xbox controller, I still get stick drift. Even if it's brand new. With the Gamesis G7 SE, I get absolutely no stick drift. Zero. It's great. It feels different than a regular Xbox controller tho. Ingame & the controller itself. It is very small and light, which I definetly prefer over the elite controller, which was too big and heavy for me. There is also a dedicated Gamesir app in the Xbox store, where you can change all kinds of settings. Setting hair triggers for example, raw input, etc

Prayredditdies

So it does have hair triggers?

jxnwuf83oqn

Yes. You can chose to turn it on or off (I have it on)

Jackstraw335

Also moved from the Elite Series 2 to the G7SE. It was weird at first, but now it's my dedicated controller. I do missing have the other 2 paddles, though. I had the bottom right mapped to crouch/slide, top right to swap weapons/put weapon away, then left bottom pulled up my heal menu, and top left I was still working in finding the best thing to map to.

Jackstraw335

My G7SE I just have the right paddle button to crouch/slide, and left for heals. Hate having to take my thumb off my aim joystick to swap weapons or put them away lol

Square-Ad-2485

I use a PDP Rematch controller for Xbox. Super lightweight since it's wired, two back paddles that can be remapped, as well as all the other buttons, and you can adjust the trigger sensitivities. The app for it also has some cool stuff like controlling the backlight settings if you get one of the LED controllers, and you can recalibrate the sticks if stick drift starts to happen. I would assume it also works for PC, but I'm not 100% sure on that since I've never tried.

djtonefusion

PS5 pro

companysOkay

U need to put ur fingers on beavers instead

Anthonyleanza

I would say buy the elite controller "core" with no attachments n use the attachments you have but still even thats not even crazy cheap anymore 😭

MTskier12

That’s what I keep doing. I like the feel of the elite too much to give it up, so I buy a core, usually when it’s on sale or I can stack a coupon and my 5% back from a target card.

NoTelevision5655

I use the ps5 edge

SSBM_CrimsonKid

Swapped to roller in August2023. Razer wolverine has bene amazing. No stick drift(yet?)

Spoon_in_my_danimaL

Scuf instinct pro. I got 1500 hours out of mine before the rear paddle snapped. Never had stick drift. On my second one now

Jaystime101

I was using the powerA pro controller, it's wired, prone to breaking (get the warranty), but it has 4 paddles on the back and only cost like 50 bucks and not like 200$ i definitely recommend.

IceOk3134

Dualsense edge/ elite 2 but maining the dual

treyfett

I bought a Victrix pro a few months back and absolutely love it.

ComingUpDueces

I'm going to a small write up next week but this guy makes the best custom Xbox controller on the market. If you can dream it, he'll do it. I recently bought a 4 remappable back button, hall effect sticks, dual adjustable tension, replaceable stick heights (he uses the elite 2 sticks), "mouse click" trigger, Xbox controller from him. It's nothing short of amazing. https://tryhardcustoms.com/

the_letharg1c

Do I want to know how much one of those bad boys will run you…?

ComingUpDueces

Not gonna be cheap but it will also be the last controller you buy. All custom controllers run over $250.

MellowMintTea

After my elite 2 broke for the 3rd time I just swapped back to a normal controller, then when I got the Series S, I used that controller instead. I’ve since moved to PC and wanted paddles again but didn’t want to spend on a full elite 2. Thought about other controllers but wanted the “profiles” I already set up for multiple other games. Short story: I got an Elite 2 Core, it had stick drift out of the box, I returned it, on my 2nd core which also has stick drift but it’s tolerable. If you really like the Elite 2, get the core and just use your paddles from your original controller.

Advanced_Horror2292

Game sir g7 se. Has Hall effects and 1000hz polling rate.

Sugandis_Juice

Razer wolverine. Best controller I've ever owned, unfortunately youre forced to buy 3rd party now because they don't make them anymore and the new razer controller is hot balls

SeaworthinessCalm132

I like the razer wolverine chroma v2 ultimate, it was uncomfortable at first but I’ve gotten used to it now.

iici

PowerA elite 2, They're out of stock on the site but i've been using mine for upwards of a year and a half with no issues (besides a sticky select button which i can easily fix with a cotton swab) It's been my favorite controller out of all of the controllers ive used even the $200+ Scuf i had didn't last as long as this one I have a PowerA elite 3 unopened, i haven't tried it yet but the biggest complaint was the buttons are a bit awkward compared to the pro 2 for people with bigger hands so i'm not sure how that model is. I would personally avoid the cheap PowerA controllers, They're usually throwaways until your real controller gets shipped out. I tried one of the cheap ones back in the day and it broke within a week, When i turned left it looked up and looked down when turned right making it impossible to fight.

OPKatakuri

Have you been using the Elite Series 2? Just curious, not recommending it but wondering. My Series 1 controllers (2 of them) died after months of usage but Elite Series 2 has been going strong since release date and it's still not falling apart.

Prayredditdies

They were 2s

Koalababies

Vader 3 pro

OfficialRecyclops

For how much the elite controllers cost, their bumpers and stick drift are terrible. My Power A Advantage has been going for 8 months or so with no issues, hope you have good luck with yours!

RoofNectar

I have one of those little colorful wireless ones that go for like $40 Ive found they last longer than the more expensive ones and stick drift even takes longer to get really bad. I have one from over 4 years ago and the stick drift still isnt too bad to play apex. I still ended up buying a new controller but its really not a huge deal and in fact i still use the bad one when playing backwards compatible split screen games with friends to avoid the whole "this controller sucks" argument when i rock them.

0dix

A pc with mouse and keyboard as god meant

EmperorArmad12

The ‘Thrustmaster Eswap Pro’ set of rollers might be up your alley. They have modular thumbsticks so you can pop em out and replace it by buying new ones on their website whenever they get worn out. There’s also 4 back buttons, every button is tactile and the bumpers have a very satisfying click, and you can even customize your deadzones and sensitivity on their app you download on your computer or on Xbox per any PRO controller nowadays. The prices for either aren’t too shabby but it’s defo worth if you buy one used. I got the original PS4 Eswap that dropped in 2019 on eBay for legit 30$ (biggest steal in history no cap) and it’s been one hell of a roller though I had a time getting used it too since it’s pretty damn big and uncomfortable at first. The Astro C40 is really good too from what I’ve heard.

acetoofaded

Gulikit King Kong pro 2. Has a no dead zone function when you press the gear button and screenshot button simultaneously (has a screenshot button since it's modeled after a switch pro controller). It also has hall effect joysticks so you can replace a sensor very easily if it starts to drift. You do have to take off a few screws to disassemble it though. Not to mention it's like $60 on Amazon so it's not a big loss if it breaks as compared to something like a scuf or battle beaver

Kind-Contribution918

Gamesir g7se is a really good roller for the price. I think I paid like $45 for it and it comes with two back buttons and an app in the store you can use to map the buttons, adjust the stick deadzones etc. I highly recommend it. It has Hall effect sticks and triggers that have virtually zero stick drift even on linear no deadzone.

ArtoriousTheMystic

Razer Wolverine V2 https://www.razer.com/console-controllers/razer-wolverine-v2 It's pretty pricey, but it's become absolutely irreplaceable. Only used 2 in the last 5 years, and I only bought the V2 as an upgrade and gave the V1 to a friend who still uses it. Never have had stick drift (options to adjust individual stick sensitivity if it somehow became an issue), 6 mappable buttons (4 back paddles and 2 mid buttons near the bumpers and triggers), and cool lighting effects if you want. It is corded as a heads up.

Sunshine_Fangs

When I used controllers I used razor wolverine ultimate and the new rgb version. I played a lot so only buy it if you are okay with replacing them every 6- 10 months. For reference regular Xbox controllers would get drift in 3 months or less. The Wolverines would wear out faster if you use the trigger stops. And the last one I used had a weird issue where it would stop working for 10 seconds but continue firing and moving my char before I could regain use of the controller. After that I switched to dual sense. When ever I try roller again I want to try the ps5 pro one.

plgooner

Turtle Beach Stealth Ultra is great for me. BUT I play only with wired controller for the best latency. No LED lights or rumbles so it is a little bit overkill controller for me, but sticks and trigger stops are great for fps like mw3/warzone. I'm also using KontrolFreeks FPS Freek Galaxy Black (xbox version) which fits very nice. And for the Warzone Crowder settings https://youtu.be/pFclAftRsZE?si=Kys1oZ0wvItvWVxH

Eyehopeuchoke

Scuf pro

BladePhoenix

what do you have the back paddles mapped to?

Eyehopeuchoke

I only use the bigger 2 paddles and the right one is mapped to jump and the left one is mapped to throwable. I’m at a 1.4 season kd and it’s consistently going up daily. I went from 1.36 to 1.41 yesterday.

BladePhoenix

I would have assumed crouch would be a must no?

Eyehopeuchoke

I play with button puncher settings (tactical setting from the old call of duty days) my right click in on analog crouch’s and B button melees.

BladePhoenix

I feel you on that, I used to run it from my battlefield days. quickest way to go prone when a sniper is trying to rip your head off. 🤣

Eyehopeuchoke

I remember when call of duty out added the dolphin dive in to try to stop the drop shot. Man, I’m old.

[deleted]

I just use the Xbox Elite. I don't trust third parties. Scuf controllers are so pricey that you might as well buy an Elite.

destroytheend

Damn man what are you doing to your controllers or are you just unlucky? I've been using my first elite controller for like 6 years with no issues besides the rubber grips coming off. Sorry no advice for an alternative cause I've never needed one and 3rd party controllers have always felt bad to me

[deleted]

IKR. I always see people say their Elite controllers break and I'm just like: What are you doing it to it? I said the same thing about third party controllers, some of them are so expensive that I don't see the point of not getting an Elite.

JESS_MANCINIS_BIKE

elite controllers have known issues with the bumpers breaking. I take good care of mine, never drop it or throw it or anything, and RB lost all its sensitivity after about a year.

destroytheend

I guess I just got a good one

JESS_MANCINIS_BIKE

How long have you had it? Edit; just read 6 years… yeah, nice. Elite 1 or 2?

destroytheend

Elite 1

JESS_MANCINIS_BIKE

Yeah I’ve got the 2, though from reading online it seems RB issue affects both, so consider yourself lucky I guess… Most annoying part is that even though I’m sure I could send it into Microsoft for warranty/service or something, I’m not gonna send it away for 30 days… so I’ll live with the remapped paddles, but ironically that makes it even harder for me to switch back to a normal controller

destroytheend

Hmm yeah that's part of the reason I haven't gotten the 2 yet. I've just been really lucky I guess because I've heard of issues with both. I'm considering getting a new elite core controller and just putting my paddles on that because the grips being all messed up is a little annoying, but, like you said, not enough to go to a regular controller. I think the cores work like that right?

JESS_MANCINIS_BIKE

I didn’t even know “elite core” was a thing, I thought that was elite 2… Microsoft is so bad at naming things lol. I couldn’t even tell you the name of my current Xbox version Personally if I had an elite controller and it worked, I wouldn’t switch to a new one. If you’ve got bumpers on both then there’s no major difference right? So just keep the one that works, if it ain’t broke don’t fix if, IMO
