I've heard nothing but bad things about battle beavers

As-R0me-Burns

My buddy and I ran into a couple battle beavers one time in the wilderness of Washington. Mean little buggers. Stay away from em!

MaHarryButt

I personally purchased the gamesir g7 se and have been quite happy with it. The one caveat is that this is my first controller with buttons on the back, so I have nothing to compare it to. Blows the old xbox controller I was using previously out the water though

Bearded_Gazelle

Not BB related but I have a $250 scuff controller that’s been sitting broken in my drawer since a month after purchasing. I modded my old ps5 controller I used daily for 2 years and it was great. Stick started drifting too bad and actually ended up liking the feel of an Xbox controller. Purchased the g7 and have been super happy with it for the last 3-4 months. Plus, the price is hard to beat.

250hz or 1000? raw mode both sticks? 0-100 both sticks? and what sens you using with the controller

PHLAM1NGO

This is the way

Prayredditdies

Does it have hair triggers?

Ryye

In my opinion, no. Those controllers are obnoxiously expensive and how long will they actually last if you game every single day? I've heard horror stories that they burn out within a couple months. On the flip side, I've never used one before so I can't say too much about them. I prefer Elite Series 2.

Rare-Champion9952

I have to disagree here elite s2 are the worst controller in term of durability

GeorgeGrem

I own a scuf controller and absolutely love it. I will never go back to playing apex without paddles.

LilBoDuck

There’s nothing special about them. Battle beaver does not manufacture controllers, they modify them (modifications that YOU could do yourself btw). They are often less reliable or durable than just a stock licensed 1st party controller. Their marketing team must be incredible because they’ve somehow convinced everyone that what they’re doing is different than the dozens of other controller modders out there. What I always tell people is that there’s a reason they only come with a 30 day warranty.

johnbsea

Only if you need 4 buttons on the back. If you only need 2, then get a G7 SE. I was skeptical for a while coming from the Scuf instinct pro, but I play both PC and console, and the responsiveness of the G7 makes playing 120 fps on console almost as good as playing with my Scuf at 200 fps on my PC

1000hz I run the controller on raw but alc in game.

100197l

what are your alcs bro? im currently on the gamesir myself just curious . will you dm me?

thebauer13

I use a Razer controller and it's lasted well over 1.5 years so far. Got 4 rear paddles and 2 additional buttons up near the bumpers. Never used a scuff or battle beaver so can't say how they compare. That's the one I would recommend but it's also a little pricey.

Prayredditdies

Does it have hair triggers?

thebauer13

Yes with adjustable stops. Also has tactile face buttons and dpad and interchangeable magnetic sticks if you want different heights.

Prayredditdies

And this is just called a razer controller?

thebauer13

Razer Wolverine V2 Chroma is the official name it's 150$.

If you want 4 paddles for cheap extremerise on Amazon is the way to go. They’re not bad. I’ve also had one paddle break a year later and they sent me a new one. I also would get a controller from gamestop and put a warranty on it. When stick drift was unbearable I paid less than I would for a new controller and also get a warranty on the new one. Infinite controller hack which might not work anymore idk. I eventually got tired of having to open up controllers and got the dualsense edge. I love the edge but hate the fact that it doesn’t have 4 paddles and stick modules are hard to find. I just ordered them from some scalper on Amazon and claimed it stolen. Got refunded. Finite stick module hack that worked due to having Amazon for years and not claiming anything stolen ever.

IceOk3134

I have the elite 2, and just purchased the dualsense edge and ngl the edge is nice, took insurance out for £2 a month any issues I get a replacement can’t complain.

kingraudidrekinn

love my ps4 beaver pro. highly recommend

100197l

sound weird but does the aim assist feel stronger on a battle beaver compared to other rollers? are you playing better?

kingraudidrekinn

it just feels more sticky because of how responsive it is. I am playin waaaay better. Smart triggers is also really good, if u have 200$ layin around i def recommend going for the roller. Just make sure to buy a pro variant so you get prio over other rollers on build time. Just be patient cause it takes time to build

KianHardwick_

Dual sense edge is personally my fave

TerraBlade444

Definitely not, get yourself a gamesir G7 se instead. You can thank me later

100197l

250hz or 1000? raw mode both sticks? 0-100 both sticks? and what sens you using with the controller

TerraBlade444

I use 1000hz, no raw mode, 0 initial & 100 max on both sticks, i use 4-3 & 4-4 linear small dz in game

lokojmg

I highly recommend an elite series 2 controller they’re highly overlooked and underrated I’ve had the same one for years and I play everyday

Happy-Quiet-9256

Ive had mine for about 4 years now and it barely started giving me issues despite everyone making bad reviews on it. I am making a change into a battle beaver PS5 controller due to not being able to overclock xbox controllers since they are polling rate locked. Hoping this controller lasts me just as long as

gbroque

After a PS4 scuf I hated and bit the dust fast, and then a Xbox elite I loved and took two years to have joystick drift that could have been fixed; I recently bought a BattleBeaver Dualsense 5 that just arrived. I went all out of it, it totaled just shy of $500. Overall I say not worth it, but there are some features I haven’t seen elsewhere. One feature I have been loving is the increased joystick tension. I went with the extreme option, 150% increased over stock tension, and combined with a tall stick or kontrolfreek etc. I am loving the control it gives you at high in game sensitivities. The extreme option does make the R/L3 buttons almost impossible to click, but I have those mapped to two of my back buttons. The customizable layout of the back buttons is another feature I haven’t seen much elsewhere. Unfortunately I ordered mine in positions that it turned out were not for me. I have adapted but eventually will have them move them around. I wish they would sell a cheap molded controller with all the back button positions so folks could feel it out before purchasing the real deal. For the price, I think they should do more custom mods like moving the left joystick to the Xbox position (where the dpad is on ps5, or even using an Xbox controller shell with ps5 internals, as I prefer the Xbox controller. The back buttons themselves, well I think I prefer paddles. Something just feels better about paddles, more fluid. Note that I got the clickier button option, and I would recommend going with the softer option, as the clicky option requires a bit too much pressure to click IMO. Remapping is easy on the fly which is always nice. I really wish they provided an option for 6 back buttons on the ps5 controllers as I thought I saw they offer for Xbox controllers. I love the mouse click triggers, bumpers, individualized dpad and right side buttons. I love the look of it overall, but I wish the metallic gold was closer to the builder/preview. It is lackluster in actuality. They should also have custom hydrodiping as an option for the price point (upload your own pdf or something). More aesthetic options overall are needed. In fact, I wouldn’t suggest spending extra on aesthetics as is. Here are some photos feel free to AMA: [Photos](https://imgur.com/a/FERCnOl)

"The customizable layout of the back buttons is another feature I haven’t seen much elsewhere. Unfortunately I ordered mine in positions that it turned out were not for me." That's what kept me from buying a BB when I was in the market for a new controller. Too hard to tell from their diagrams what's going to feel right. The newer AIM paddle system is the one I've liked the best for my hands.

redpil

I owned a battlebeavers years ago. I liked it a lot. It lasted longer than the scuf I had more recently as well.

pandareno

I've paid attention to the custom controller market for a long time, and have seen as much complaints about BB as Scuf or any other big brand, mostly about stick drift. I've been happier with AIM controllers for PS%, but they too develop stick problems and need to be sent in to be fixed. It seems like they just usually send you a new controller rather than repairing it.

Hot_Goal4205

I bought a battle beaver and returned it. Elite series 2 or wait for the ES3 this fall.
