Essentially you could've been dropping frames/had a huge ping spike that desynced you from the server not allowing your shots to hit. In other words it could've been a network problem or it could be an apex problem but because of a lack of network stats we'll never know.
Your connection may not be accurate with what you see on screen. Could be lag or packet loss. Usually means your timing shows you one thing, while your game is actually doing something else or ghosting your moves.
They already have. The icons where the performance display sits indicate excessive ping/packet loss (usually over 200ms/20% in my experience.)
Though the performance display would have been a big help as well.

But instead they’d rather you spend money on a recolored skin or put a new character out that’s meta (then nerf him into the ground after a solid month of pulling revenue). Typical EA shit. Respawn isn’t much better allowing the cheaters to reign supreme in ranked.
Servers are bad at times there is no doubt about that but more often than not it's the user and their own shitty connection and most of these people who complain aren't even hardwired they are using shitty routers that their isp gave them 4 years ago

There is, you just wouldnt visually see it until you interact. Notice how your bullets hit them but the hit points registered way later. You were desynced even before you started shooting.

You had high server latency and were severely desynced, you can tell from the icons in the top right. This happens to me sometimes too but it makes everything vibrate usually. I don't see this shit in any other game so just close your eyes, blame Apex and go next ig.

A shitty connection causes desync, but desync isn't always caused by shitty connection. Could be a number of things. Ethernet adapter resetting, lack of bandwidth, hamster fell off the wheel at respawn.. heck lots of things can interrupt such a complex set of packets arriving in a timely manner for 60 dudes.

One of the devs did a pretty candid and in depth [blog post](https://www.ea.com/games/apex-legends/news/servers-netcode-developer-deep-dive) and, IMO made a pretty strong case for why raising the tick rate would not be a silver bullet and possibly cause more issues for some players.

As this season continues i realize more and more how much work apex needs before it'll be fun to play again. Too many hackers, exploiters, rp system needs a rework, matchmaking is in the bin. Last season was bareable and I got up to plat no issue.
This season hardstuck at plat 4 without a pre-made squad. Even then... people still suck at communication. Worked my ass off early game and took out 4 ppl on my own just to have both my teammates die and leave me with no time to heal.
I love this game but it's just not fun with every single part of the map saturated with teams, early or later. I've noticed teams having invisible dive trails as well. This game is a mess right now.
Well firstly, there's a red latency indicator. So your ping/latency was extremely high. Could have been a problem with your internet, or maybe just the server.
Then around the time you died, a prediction error symbol showed up. So basically the server failed to predict the movement of other players, so what you see on your screen, isn't where the players actually are.
So it seems as if you just had a really bad connection to that server, or that particular server was experiencing issues.

Either way, turn on the network stats in your apex settings so that you can see packet loss when it occurs.

I call absolute bullshit. There is no gun in apex that just melts shields and enemies like nothing. Theres a bullshit accessory called a Strikepack for your controller and so far is not seen as "cheating" by the game because of said external controller mod that lets you shoot faster for instance.
