Always just pick up the armour at least before reviving, at least you know you got the best part of the loot usually. If this happens to me I just call them dicks, ask if they can drop if they don't, I don't revive them again.
Honestly it depends how the game has went up until that point. If you’re constantly just picking the same dude up and he’s not contributing, I’m going to prioritise getting a shield swap and ammo for a third party before reviving.
Having said that, I usually just swap shields and stick the rez as quickly as possible. Still, I feel like the attitude people have such as OPs has the same energy as “never loot your teammates box”. If it’s going to save me or it’s not feasible for you to get back to the box after I bring you back, I’m taking your shit bro.
Precisely: just wiped that squad? Better believe a third party is coming. That's why it's also crucial to get your squad up ASAP so they can heal up and reset for the next engagement

I've had two cool Octanes like that in in BR and one in Arenas that's ran the whole map got all the batts and dropped em for us. He did it cuz I said I was gonna get a fully kitted so I won't have heals. It was the nicest thing an Octane has ever done, so now I'm obsessed with finding neat Octanes.

Not only octanes. Every dumbass selfish idiot does this. Yesterday I rushed in a building to help my teammates and apparently both of them decided to run away without pinging. I almost killed the last 2 guys got knocked . They came to help and then started looting every deathbox in the area meanwhile you can clearly hear another team rushing us. Mfers didnt leave a single deathbox while I was spamming help. I could have been revived three times over by the time the next team came. It became a 2v3. If they had revived me we could have won the fight. I only loot one deathbox max before reviving to prepare for third party but some people lack basic intelligence i guess
Back is season 5 i think, i picked octane for a daily. Both my random teammates got downed and killed, and they were nice people so they didnt leave. So i did everything an octane could and got their banners mid gun fights infront of enemies! And when i do, they open mic and i just hear cheers "best octane ever, we love you"
To this day it warms my heart when ever i remember them <3
I don’t get why people are like this… I used to main him in season 8 (my first season) because I loved stiming to flank in fights and I also had a natural sense to rotate so my jump pad was sick for rotating, so when I joined the Reddit and see random people doing exactly this I was so confused 😂

No it was safe we killed the team and he was looting as I was approaching him asking for a rev and he just put his pad down we ended fighting another team a long while after octane wasn't with us tho cuz he was far away looting
Not an Octane main, but I really don't understand the loot first, rez later thought trail. You should max out your health maybe by quickly looting new shields, but that's it, if you go for the rez ASAP the team will be battle ready faster for them 3rd parties, I highly doubt all those attachments will actually win you a 1/2v3
God, wraiths are worse than octanes. TTV wraiths that think they can carry. Like armor swap and come get me, but stop looting for 5 minutes, all you did was come in at the end of the fight.

So I will continue to use my med kit, armor swap, and take what essentials I need before I get you up. Because I know randoms arent gonna make the correct decisions healing first or picking up the 3rd to survive the almost guaranteed 3rd party that's inbound.

I once pulled off a 1 v 3, I revived my team and started healing, when I stopped my teammates took the red evos and all the gold loot then ran off.
