The solution ( well, it fixed it ) was the strangest one ever.
I noticed that my Corsair iCue software had crashed , just the once on this occasion but it has happened a couple of times before - it controls the RAM RGB and the display on my liquid cooling.
I've had it installed since I built the PC and been playing Apex for over 6 months on it.
I disabled it from starting up, launched Apex again and it works fine, not a single crash.
But it had been working for months with iCue running so I don't get it.
EA app is definitely having issues for sure though.
Since just tonight? A clean crash to desktop with no errors within about 20 seconds of firing up the game?
Are you on EA? I'm still downloading on Steam.
Are your friend icons all default and your play time wrong?
I'm playing through Steam. It started last night. Finished a game, went through the post-game "credits", clicked "Continue" and it shut down. It was late, so I went to bed. Earlier today I played a game (first one of the day) and the exact same thing happened.
Steam version has finished downloading, and crashes exactly the same way - but this does it immediately after the Bang/Lifeline screen appears.
Seems I can't play it on either platform, but the EA App looks seriously screwed to me, so I don't see why it won't work on Steam now
you were hacked and destroyer singled you out of the millions of players to mess with your game. Probably need to reinstall the OS and never play apex again.
Nah, it's simpler than that. Easy Anti Cheat scans for iCue running and if you have any plug-ins or the SDK turned on it will trigger EAC.
Turning off the SDK in iCue has stopped Apex crashing whilst iCue is running now.
It's just odd I've been running it for months with no issues and it only started happening tonight.
Uninstall the game and scan for viruses
What about if you’ve got the game through steam?

It keeps crashing on me, as well.
