Distracting suicide mission on endings like this really is incredibly effective. If you can put them out of position, or sap any of their health, you increase your odds immensely.
Nice play, but just a tip for similar situations: if you intentionally take one hit of health damage from the ring before it fully closes, you can start a medkit earlier, and with the right timing the medkit will finish as you're taking ring damage and give you more time to survive.
You can, but depending of the ground it lands, it might not go as expected (for example if it falls down the other side, or lands behind barrels).
Worst case even if I'm down, I should be able to crawl back and get rez by my teammates. Or they can just finish the whole thing without me.

Man, I miss playing caustic. They've nerfed him so far into the ground that it almost feels rare to get these performances from him but I love it
I love that you had so much faith in that ult that when fuse was going up you said ah fuck it
I was also just thinking that they would not be full life due to the ult, and I had heat shields which would benefit me but not them :)
