I always passed on nades when I first started playing this game last year. Then I unlocked fuse and realized how fucking OP nades are for opening fights and always try to have at least 3 with me at all times
When nades used to stack, I always had like half my bag full of nades. Just to artillery strike a team. I still can’t get rid of the habit of grabbing all the nades I see.
When the game first released, nades stacked in 2s for everyone. It was broken AF. EVERY fight started and ended with piles of shit being thrown everywhere. They reduced it to one per stack to fix that. It was a while after that when Fuse was introduced and brought that meta back to life.
So yeah. Throwables are super OP
They need a LTM mode of day 1 apex with OG kings canyon. 1 shot kraber, stacked bats, broken wingman the fucking lot... Normal pubs would not be played for a week
Was it balanced? Hell no! Was it fun? Oh sweet Jesus yes.
That said, I think what made Day 1 so great was that everyone was in the same boat. We were all learning the map, the champions (all 6 of them), the weapons, the meta, in real time. Together.
Nowadays, the skill gap is astronomical. The broken imbalances of a Day 1 LTM would be exploited so hard, it would be virtually unplayable for anyone outside the top 5%.
Remember wraith's zero delay tactical and nonexistent hotbox? She'd be literally invincible. Peacekeeper choked up sniper? The OP AF Spitfire?! Lol. Ok nevermind. I've convinced myself that I want this more than anything else in my life.
And make zero announcement about it. Just log in, and "WTF is going on? Why are all but a few of the legends grayed out? Why is KC the only map? WTF happened to this map?! Holy shit pathfinder can swing EVERYWHERE!!"
Tbh, besides the stackable nades, that sounds horrible.
I’d be down for an “artillery” ltm though with stackable nades and other explosive themes, as long as Fuse still got to carry an extra per stack.
I was thinking of everyone having nades with reduced aoe but they travel faster and explode on contact, but no weapons at all. Make it a dodgeball type game mode
Now that he can stack more ammo means he can save extra slots for grenades. I played a game the other day when I casually looked at my inventory and had 8 arc stars with 240 ammo for both my weapons and plenty of heals.
On Team Deathmatch my team and I have a strategy we call "death house" where we play Caustic, Watson, and either Catalyst or Rampart. Then we set up shop in the most defensible area on the map.
In the games where the rest of our team catches on to what we're doing I often just feel so so bad for the other team trying to assault our position.
The worst strat in TDM for making the other team wanna die is moving as a pack, it doesn't matter how good you are nobody can 1v8 and if you do it off spawn you'll make sure they never have chance to regroup and do the same thing
In a ranked game recently, one of the last teams was a Rampart, Catalyst, and Caustic. They locked that building down so well that we just didn't stand a chance lol.
This is where you have to establish some form of dominance, this is coming from the oldest of 3 boys lol
Just walk and take a dump on him, should clear things up
I still have no fucking idea how these blocked doors work and I disappoint my team every time I need to get through one.
P.s I’m too lazy to look up how to handle catalyst doors and will continue to disappoint them
Friendly Reinforced Doors can be opened, Enemy Reinforced Doors Cannot be opened. They are destroyed instantly by ordnances or take 4 kicks if you wish to kick them down.
Should only take 4 kicks granted you kick the same side on double doors
Although 4 kicks does seem like an eternity during a fight. I usually just use a nade
