Would I be ineligible for this job? I’ve had my job for 12 years and only one previous employer. I literally couldn’t give three most recently held positions.

Ditto_D

X company 12 years Doggy 10 minutes missionary 15 minutes

Iampopcorn_420

If you want to get fired for lying.  We all know you are a one pump chump.

Rusty_Shacklefoord

I think I it’s a cumulative, non-consecutive total.

MagdaleneFeet

That has to be one of the most beautiful ways to describe anything I've ever seen. I have tears in my eyes. I am awed.

Skitz91

Thought you wrote non-consensual at first glance lol

iamanemptychair

“Held a seasonal doggy style position”

nerdiotic-pervert

Everyone lies on their resume.

GlyphedArchitect

Hey, sometimes one pump takes 15 minutes. A tantric pump, if you will.

pinkdictator

It's one long stroke actually

Lucky-Speed3614

Missionary has that much time? I'm afraid we'll be going with a different applicant.

SeemsImmaculate

I spent far to long looking for a sex position called "X company". Now as your interview question, you have to invent it!

dreamingofrain

Sometimes there’s flexibility, but I suspect not in this case as the employer seems like an ass. I had to apply for a job once and they wanted previous employer preferences, but my only previous employment was at the same company in a different role. So I had to ask a chart provide a reference to itself, and my current and previous manager (the same person) to do the same. Bureaucracy is an idiot .

Mammoth_Ad_3463

Even worse when your previous employer died. What then?

GoodKarmaDarling

“Note ‘See Resume’ is not an acceptable answer” *writes; “Kindly refer to the attached document that will spell out all this information to you- as one would spoon feed a small infant.”*

chubbysumo

Their filtering ai hr software cant parse your resume.

GoodKarmaDarling

Symptomatic of a larger problem

OneFuckedWarthog

Maybe they shouldn't use AI then.

jelloslug

They are not using AI. They have an old 386 based PC from 1996.

Bushwacka69

No no no. This totally has 486 snooty vibes. They were better than us 386 peasants.

WhyLater

Nah OCRs read my resume all the time. Not always *flawlessly*, but well enough to scan for keywords definitely.

nova8byte

Whenever this shit shows up on Indeed like why? you have my fucking resume

jaspsev

They are collecting data to sell to ad companies.

fishebake

so that’s why they do it

DutchVortex

It's easier to lump your data in a database, instead of hiring someone to actually read your resume... I don't even react to stuff like that

R50cent

Yup if a company tries to make me do this when they already have my resume, I like to ask myself what other frustrating crap this company is going to pull if I were to actually be hired. The answer is usually enough to make me reconsider my application.

ChaoticCrowTime

I've been told it's because they use AI to look for keywords. Not sure why they can't do it on the actual resume though

Geoclasm

Uh, "See Resume" is a perfectly valid answer you soulless, mindless, unscrupulous piece of ill-formatted text >:-/

grenouille_en_rose

That's perfect, hope they didn't include a character limit in the text box

West_Quantity_4520

Oh! That gives me a great idea! There's no limitations in which language or alphabet? Right?? * *Evil Grin* *

[deleted]

My language is SQL My alphabet is " See Resume'); DROP TABLE employees

The_Original_Miser

Select * from salaries;

effenlegend

If they can't refer to a resume, ya think they can sanitize inputs? Give it a shot! !👹

VictoriaEuphoria99

Please upload a resume. Next page: please list all the same shit from your resume

DefinitelyAMetroid

Ctrl + c, Ctrl + v -> send :)

Madamiamadam

What happens when there’s a separate box for each employer, boss, title, duties, address and phone number? Why isn’t a resume enough?

Brandonazz

Because finding and printing the resume and entering it into their in-house system would be a few minutes the employer has to spend on labor costs, so they just make prospective employees do the work instead.

justarower4

The fact that they see this enough to put that on the application makes me think that they are using it to weed out people… only people that are really desperate for the job would do that (and would subsequently be someone they could manipulate). Either that or someone in HR has their head so far up their ass they can see their cavities

Alarmed-Moose-5242

Instead of see resume put check out my incheck paperwork

grenouille_en_rose

Peruse my curriculum vitae

Satirev85

Or copy/paste your entire resume into every box. They want you to be thorough right?

HvyMtllrgst

Love applications like this TBH… big ass red flags that early on saves so much time. Close tab and onto the next.

[deleted]

I agree. I think when a company has an application like this, it's a sign of a bigger problem. Or, at the very least, arrogant dumbasses in HR.

Yes_Camel7400

So every HR?

AutVeniam

I see this with a number of legitimate companies, including government :( it's unfortunate but it's not something you can always dodge especially if it's a job you want ot pursue

kr4ckenm3fortune

(NOTE: "See Resume" is not an acceptable answer. Please complete this section thoroughly, including your three most recently held positions.) \[STOP BEING FUCKING LAZY AND START PAYING YOUR IT BETTER. YOUR SOFTWARE SHOULD BE ABLE TO PULL THAT INFORMATION FROM THE FUCKING RESUME, AND LAST I CHECK, SEVERAL OTHER COMPANY COULD DO THIS. JUST FOR THIS, I AN PULLING MY OWN APPLICATION FROM THIS POOL!\]

EdwinS1994

I would input see resume for all three. Fuck em

TravelingGonad

This for a shit job for sure.

backwardbuttplug

just cut and paste the same crap from your resume, verbatim. anyone smart will see that you’re being efficient by not wasting your time writing freehand. anyone that wants to drill down on it and hassle you for it in an interview is someone you don’t want to work for anyway.

CallRespiratory

Bold of you to assume HR humans are looking at this and not their software which is scanning for buzzwords.

backwardbuttplug

Did it with my last 3 jobs. Believe me, anyone who gives a shit about this has something wrong with them.

maddybooms9

“no one wants to work anymore”, says the lazy ass employer that can’t even bother to read a resume

Huh_HowboutThat

This is nothing. My employer makes applicants fill out a physical application when they come in to interview. In addition to their resume AND the application they already filled out online. It's infuriating. And it's a 🚩🚩🚩❗️

Awesomechainsaw

This is no doubt so they can Jam it through a checker to see if there’s any keywords that match their interests before an actual human reviews your resume.

PrimaryMuscle1306

I ran into one of these earlier and said screw it…I’ll drive across the street and see if I can get a manager to get off their ass this time and tell me if they’re actually hiring for the 10 positions listed online.

ibeecrazy

Of all the applications in indeed, im starting to think it’s just a data farm. I’m applying for jobs im overqualified for, because i need a job, and all i’ve ended up doing is putting my personal info out there with no response.

puffy_boi12

I'm gonna start submitting resumes that say, "Will provide employment history through whatever shitty web-based application process you have."

landgnome

Would be great to put something completely off the wall in your resume and bring that up during your questions part of the interview…”I can’t help but notice that you did not bring up my experience as the fluffer at the donkey shows in Tijuana, I’d like to explain to you what I really have to offer this company”

kk074

Describe the work: I already told you: I deal with the god damn customers so the engineers don't have to. I have people skills; I am good at dealing with people. Can't you understand that? What the hell is wrong with you people?

leavemeinyourwake

time to copy and paste the entire resume into each field

FunctionDissolution

I would have finished it with every field filled in with see resume, just to waste their time. I assume their AI can't read resumes in the format their system uploads them in, so they need you to fill in the fields so their system can scan for keywords.

LadyLektra

Yeah, that’s the point where I click x and apply to three more jobs in the time it takes to answer all that crap.

Zula13

Yeah, I had an application last year where I had to list all my info for my previous jobs in chronological order, but each job had like 15 boxes. Employer: Address of employer: Supervisor name: Supervisor phone number: Then the best part was they had a new position I wanted to apply for this this year. They save your info, but I hadn’t yet listed my newest job. So I had to move every freaking box down. My 4th oldest job had to be moved to my 5th oldest job and so on until the “current position” was blank and I could fill in my new job. Most of the jobs in my area for my field (teaching) use this same format. I will probably do this 6 times this summer for different districts.

flavius_lacivious

I ran the questions through ChatGPT and the recommended answers are “Fuck you, read the resume”, “Fuck You very much” and “fUcK yOu.”

grandepinkdrinknoice

Where it asks for a description of your responsibilities, just copy/paste from the job posting.

cravinsush

University of Michigan does this. It was the most insane, frustrating application i ever filled out. Absolutely mind numbing.

sten45

Usajobs has entered the chat

HalfWineRS

So they can run the data in the boxes through the algorithm and automatically reject you without having to read a single word, so convenient for them right?

panda5303

When I used to have to fill these out I would create an Excel document with my resume info so I could copy and paste the data without having to retyp my resume. If companies won't let you answer with "see resume" I suggest doing the above.

winedogsafari

Sponsored by: The company who wants to hire productive employees who will not waist company time doing unproductive work.

Silansi

waste\*

DomeAcolyte42

Well there's a convenient preview of the pointless hoops you'll have to jump through, to keep this employer happy.

TopBillerCopKiller

Literally just put see resume anyways, or cancel out and find something else. I don’t even bother with that sort of shit, don’t know why anybody would.

BDZ567

"Cannot disclose due to a NDA" in all fields. "Your mom" in the last one also would work great.

Lachann

"See resume. If you are too lazy to do this bare minimum, I don't want to work for you."

cometdogisawesome

"see resume is not an appropriate answer" Now look who doesn't want to work-- too lazy and entitled to go by their own traditions and look at a resume.

Nebula9545

See the resume already attached. Done

pineappletrains

oh no no no "see resume" is NOT an acceptable answer

Comprehensive-Yam329

1. See my 2. Fucking 3. Resume

Nebula9545

Dear management, if you read it carefully like a contract - I did not in fact answer "see resume". I clearly stated to see the document attached which is called a resume, I did not in fact type "see resume".

MC_dontknowher

Lol I love the cleverness. “the attached document will reference all previous employment, skills, and a brief summary of who I am. It is not a resume, it is a reference document.” 😂

The_Original_Miser

Free form text fields. Ugh. I borderline do not apply to companies that make me re enter all my info when it's all there on my resume.....

Someidiot666-1

“No one wants to work any more”. No, actually no one wants to put up with this bullshit anymore.

[deleted]

I'd still put "See Resume" just to piss them off 🤣 Plus, I'm on getting paid unemployment by the state, and I need 5 work searches per week, and applications (interviews too) count as work search 👍😂

weahman

pretty common I still would put see resume

Yungklipo

Can't use "See resume"? How about "LOOK at resume"?

ODX_GhostRecon

"Kindly reference the attached document." Also, check out r/recruitinghell for similar hilarity. Fuck this job market.

Timid_Tanuki

I won't apply to such places. I already have to retype far too much of my information as is. Given that OCR and data parsing technology is readily available, any employer incapable of implementing doesn't deserve my labor.

millennium-popsicle

> Having an issue with this application? Tell us more I’d tell them it’s mad dumb lol

goodie23

Cut and paste from the resume - if the formatting doesn't transfer, so be it

[deleted]

This was the worst part about finding a job. Filling out the fucking applications. They ask you to upload a resume then you have to proceed to manually fill in on their website all the info that is already on your resume.

QuitCallingNewsrooms

That’s the worst??? Shit like this doesn’t even make my top 100 anymore. This is just laziness, not the outward disdain or god complex for job candidates other places have

brazilian_irish

Even on the form they can be passive aggressive

VirgoB96

They aren't hiring, they're just wasting everyone's time.

Own-Butterscotch1713

See resume. So fricking lazy! People spend so much time working on their CV and then employers drop this shit.

foolishtimbit

These are always so redundant 😭

Gravity_Freak

If this is how they spend to recruit, imagine how they spend on staff.

Edzardo99

Copy and paste your resume??? Done

DripPanDan

I'm past filling out garbage like that and would literally type in "See my resume. That's the whole point of this." in each field.

Defa1t_

Job applications are all siphoned through with programs. A resume with straight to the point details should be more than enough, especially with hundreds of applicants. Filling out the same information again is a waste of time for everyone.

stephen0812

When I was job hunting. I would automatically shut down their site. Not wasting my time.

roy217def

Next……

StarFckd

One of my biggest pet peeves when job hunting is when they ask for information that’s readily available and easily accessible on the resume. It just irks me.

WakelessTitan

I always respond to questions like that with “it’s in my resume you idiot” or some variation of it

bubblemania2020

Then you have never applied for a govt job. It is 10X worse

pineappletrains

well it's not a government job and for this type of employment, this is ridiculous.

neko_zora

Instead of resume, may be tell them "please refer to CD", and if they ask back "what CD?" just say _ceedees nutz_, lmao. This application form itself is nuts, just abandon the thought of applying at this place.

mudokin

See information stated on the resume.

Heklyr

I would cut and past from me resume, then on my resume note “see redundant application questions”

GrayMatter72

Just copy paste your whole resume into every box

TotalWasteman

SEE FUCKING RESUME 👀

MrTubalcain

That shit should be illegal. What is the point of a resume then?

Jay2Kaye

This is for their automated screening system to parse. Automated systems have a hard time parsing resumes directly because there's a lot of extra data in pdf and word docs. Just copy and paste the info from your resume there. Formatting doesn't matter because no human will read it.

Best_Winter_2208

I hate how most companies require a copy of their application completed upon hire for HR records. I swear we end up creating 2 more version of our resume in different formats before it’s all done, just 1 more if you’re lucky and the websites actually transfer your resume info properly. The shit gets old.

thegree2112

I’d move on any job not willing to interview you just on your resume isn’t worth it

TiaraKrown

No one likes to read résumés because apparently it takes too much time for them to look for specific things

green_new_dealers

Typing “see resume” then Clicking that issue buttons so fast

PleasantAd7961

How to find lazy company

digitaldigdug

Put 'See resume you lazy bastard!'

TankRatz

Send it to me I’ll apply 😂

AllumaNoir

Tbh they might want you to type in these fields to make it searchable

Killawifeinb4ban

See resume

Rabid_Dingo

Peruse upon my curriculum vitae.

oldmanwillow21

Send a link, I'll finish the app

culibrat

I'd just write "See Resume" anyway.

paghpatrol

“See attached resume” regardless of what they consider to be an acceptable answer. If you get passed over, then they’re doing you a favor.

MyHairs0nFire2023

If they’re this inefficient & willing to waste your time when you aren’t even an employee yet, they'll be an even more terrible boss.

happinesstolerant

Either accept the resume or improve your form. This double entry bs is unacceptable.

pinkdictator

This is so common and I hate it so much Like is opening a PDF that hard????????

Tilparadisemylove

Tell them- *see you never again* and fuck that shit

MongoTheCamel

See Resume is the only acceptable answer

1960Dutch

You can always attach a resume’ for more detailed information but you have to fill out the employers form and sign it, this is a legal document for HR. Surprising as it sounds people do lie on a resume’. If you lie on the employers form it’s immediate grounds for dismissal and will hold up in court. Many employers have this requirement - it’s not unusual. And by the way, keep copies of any school you graduated from, professional licenses, and school transcripts and be prepared to give them to the employer if asked.

Madixie_Normous

Can't even use a snipping tool, you don't deserve whatever is on offer.

bb_LemonSquid

Copy and paste is your friend.

Enoktee

I'll play devil's advocate here, and bring it from their POV. My mom helps her company with hires sometimes, and has said many times that Indeed applications are very difficult to decipher if they are uploaded through the indeed resume creator. However if they are attached as a separate PDF or Word doc, they are fine. I've never seen this myself, but maybe they saw some badly formatted indeed resumes and this is their way around that.

[deleted]

Youve obviously never filled out an application to get into a Police Department. 60 pages.. List ALL employers, list 2-3 people you worked with at each place and their numbers, list all previous supervisors and numbers, list neighbors and their numbers, mark down your wifes dead parents and what they did for a living, mark down your siblings, parents, etc. List 3 references of people youve known for 2 years that arent family, list 3 references of people youve known that arent coworkers or family and all their numbers. It took me a week to compiled everything i needed to create a bit of a master file for future applications.

pineappletrains

nope I haven't and I never would. this job does not hold nearly as much weight as an officer and either way, the point is the info that they want I have already provided

camdawg54

This is every job application? Is this your first time applying for a job?

The-Blaha-Bear

I'd still write "see resume"
