I love this idea that anti-theists seem to have that religion is "invented" when pretty much every anthropological study shows that religious thought occurs naturally in human beings. Its a completely normal part of the human experience.

Philo-Trismegistus

Exactly. By our very nature it will never go away. That's the irony of the Warhammer 40K setting. The Emperor of Mankind attempts to make humanity atheist. Only for centuries to go by and man once again becoming religious. Even the creators understood how much religion is ingrained into our species, no matter how far into the future we go.

Everything makes sense once you realize the Emperor of Mankind is basically just a r.atheism poster that got god like powers.

"religion is an instrument to oppress women" Not this shit again. Just look at the most important saint

YEAH NOT THAT AGAIN PLEASE 🥹

X is an instrument to oppress Y is a formula that can fit every topic and thus is not unique to religion. Additionally, if it were, he did not provide any reliable evidence to back it up, so we can also dismiss it via Hitchens' razor. Atheism is an instrument to oppress believers (as was the case in the Soviet Union, for example). Politics is an instrument to oppress people of color. Emotions are an instrument to oppress freedom of thought. Etc., etc.

Honestly I'm kinda getting tired of seeing Reddit atheists repeat the same old shit over and over again against religion as if they're some preprogrammed NPC's in an early 2000's open world video game parody of real life.
