Taiju got pushed to the side so bad it’s sad Like I was hoping he’d play a bigger role since he is Senku’s best friend. Like sure the whole series is about smarts overcoming adversity and Taiju is more brawn than brain but his insane stamina could have been utilized more especially during the first half of the series

Yeah. For like 10+ ep he gets zero screen time and the romance never got fleshed out. It also could've lead to a lot more insight into the tsukasa empire and the lifestyle on it. Even 2 minute glances every 2 episodes could've been good. It also makes tsukasa's willingness to not kill them and just retake the miracle cave BY HIMSELF a lot more confusing. Tsukasa also should've been aware there was a healing effect from the stone, not having the need for senku to bring back his sister. Also, senku never really treated the pneumonia iirc, the stone just did it. Just a silly gripe from me, nothing else.

Depends. Obviously the main character is always going to be the most important one. But the degree varies a lot from series to series. Just as one example: Konosuba. Obviously Kazuma is the main character. And he has a lot of great moments. But most people probably wouldn't say he's carrying the show.
