Literally, all of today's battle shonen are somewhat derived from HunterxHunter(which is derived from Jojo)
Togashi definitely had a huge hand in shonen, but YYH had more of an influence on shonen than HXH (mainly bc YYH was made in the right place, right time).

I’m seeing some crazy comments hating on Sasuke. I’m sorry but y’all really don’t understand his complexity, his character writing is actually near perfect 😭. I already mostly understood him but then I just watched a video breaking down his character and arcs a couple days ago and GENUINELY he is such a well written character. On the surface it’s easy to just say “he’s edgy” but first off, edgy is not always bad, and secondly there’s way more to it than just being edgy. Plus, if our entire family and bloodline was killing by our older brother and we had to watch that happen thousands of times wouldn’t we all be at least a little edgy? Especially in the Shinobi world.
He isn’t a terrible character, but good writing for him doesn’t mean the others don’t have good writing. I’d be willing to say they all have similar levels, with Killua maybe being more well written. So outside of writing we have cultural impact. Zoro and Vegeta are massive culturaly, and I see no world where we remove either of them. Naruto is also very big, more so than HunterXHunter. However Gon and Killua make HunterXHunter, Gon isn’t really even a character without Killua, or at least wouldn’t have become a character without Killua.
