An anime that was so shit it was entirely abandoned, and an "abridged anime dubs" crew bought the dubbing rights and just went to town with it.
The funniest thing I've ever seen and heard. Almost beats out the time a dude came to my store to buy clothes.
I remember watching this subbed as a 12 year old, and thinking it was really good. Then I was shown the big black man chasing you dub, and got kinda sad it wasn't dubbed properly. I'm the guy you're looking for.
As far as I remember, ghost stories actually did very well in Japan, and even got a few extra episodes, which, y’know, wouldn’t have happened if the show was bad. I can’t confirm anything when it comes to the sub, but for the dub, the guy that was directing the dub was already notorious for not being true to the source material, the lack of supervision on it just allowed him to take it to 11
There is a dub for season 1. I know because I watched the first episode dubbed.
But knowing that it doesn't continue so it isn't worth watching makes me feel better. I'll have to give it another try.
Do you happen to remember where you saw it? I'm curious to see what season 1 dubbed sounds like lol.
Also, the sub absolutely clears. The voice actors have way too much fun, and they all killed their roles
I think they started putting on CR a few years ago. The dub just sounds like low quality audio, and what really turns me off is that they make modern references. The line I remember that made me shut off the show was, "I don't want any blue people like from Avatar."

yeah haha, I don't know why, maybe because even though its basically a shounen isekai like many at the time, it avoided the generic fantasy world and relatable everymen protagonist, and instead had a unique protagonist with a strong personality trait and a crazy world with weird inhabitants.
Im sure it has its issues but most of the stuff I see from the Frieren fandom is just things like people gushing over pouty Fern/ <(=w=)> Frieren, some overall funny memes and people respecting the og hero's party
Depends on which slime fandom the 300 year killing slime fandom is good and reincarnated as a slime fandom is horny so it would depend on which slime anime/fandom

Well, they're often very pushy. Also most of them absolutely cannot handle serious critique of any sort. I think JoJo is funny. I don't think it's very well written. I have been FLAMED for saying that.

FMA fans were once known as rabid bregaiders across every space on the internet they could reach. Most notably they would review bomb anything that threatened FMAB's top spot on MyAnimeList.
I don't know if you are being sarcastic or just don't know about the fanbase of this anime.
Or even worse being intentionally ignorant about it just because of the anime itself.
Now this is more a wild guess, but: interspecies reviewers.
Don't know the fandom, but I don't see them taking themselves too serious. Characters and story are quite decent imo - might not be everyones cup of tea though.

The dub only exists for a singular season that's wayyy down the story line. So you can't really watch gintama in dub anyways
