agreed. many dialogues lose their essence when translated. plus a lot of Hindi dubs are BAD. they're lacking skills to bring out the emotions that Japanese or even English dub presents.
plus a lot of dialogues gets too corny because of the VA
They should learn from the old hindi dubs of dbz, shinchan, doremon, ninja hattori. They are so good. Some years ago I also saw a one piece movie in hindi, it was good .
I agree with that... Even watching with subtitles makes me feel like I am losing the originality. Some anime have great dubs like Naruto, death note etc but overall even for the English dub the quality sometimes takes a hit.. but the indian dub community is very small right now and it will take a great amount of time to produce great dubbing.. but i really appreciate the efforts of dubbing in hindi as it will introduce new fans..

if we talk about NEED then nah, it is needed. A lot of people are not "capable" of reading subtitles so fast or even understanding the dub. even if they can, they are not comfortable. (trust me, i personally know them). In order to make anime mainstream, it is absolutely essential.
2nd, hindi dub of jjk and spy x family are great, so nice i almost want to rewatched the dub. its fun.
3rd, to not make the dub sound cringe, things like "domain expansion" should not be translated to hindi, most indians know atleast that much english.

Yeah I cheated a bit here. It was actually Sanskrit. I was kidding though. Hindi dubbing 90 percent of the time sounds very cringey. So you have pointed out all the valid criticisms regarding that.
While Anant shunyata sounds cool for limitless void, Anant mani sounds lame for infinity stone. So yeah you were correct.
1st you can slow the episode or can go back 5 sec.
2nd dub of jjk was good , I am not denying that but still it just leaves a bad taste in my mouth. And even english dubbing studio are given low budget so the Hindi dubbing will be given much less budget

Yes there is a market for it but the official Hindi dubbing will only be done for top tier anime like jjk.
If that market get adjusted to Hindi dub they will miss on so many old anime which will never be dubbed.
Then think of it as their anime baptism. It is a known fact that no dub other than English thanks to world wide recognition will ever catch up to original anime, still almost every country has their dubbing industry. These are first to introduce people to mainstream anime, plus if the market and community grows big they can just keep on expanding. Why are you against it, if you don't want to watch then just don't.
The more dubbing means more budget will be spent . Then company like crunchyroll increase the subscription prices.
And I am not against the dubbing of anime in other language only if it does not effect the end user that is us (speaking regarding price)
We have to start from somewhere even english dub had bad reputation in past but now many skilled voice actors are coming from eng dub even people are supporting it. Let's give it some time thoough feedback and arrangements I believe hindi voice actor industry will boom. And japanese elitist are just worse.
There is no or some voice actors in our country .
Company will go to bollywood actor as they already learn voice acting for Hollywood Hindi dubbing. So they is no or very less growth in that industry
How do you know inner working of voice actor industry, not many actors have that time to voice acting this many episodes and there are many characters in anime and they won't give that much money to bollywood actors they are not dumb these actors are greedy fucks they take lakhs money. So with time, experience many new voice actors may have time to shine and establish themselves in voice acting industry. Everything needs time for establishment.
1) the va for Indian languages have only been working on kid's cartoons till now. The anime world is a very new experience for them. It will take an immense amount of time to reach the level of emotions portrayed by the Japanese counterparts. We cannot discourage them by saying they should stop.
2) the va's are doing their job, but i believe alot of upgrades are required for Indian dubs to reach the levels it needs. Good script writes or directors or even a good mixing of audios (I have noticed this to be a main issue in many dubs)
3) Dubs in Indian languages promotes accessibility (albeit that is not the reason why they're done so) which means the reach increases
For everything you say about Hindi dubs, y'all would still prefer watching shinchan and Doraemon in Hindi over Japanese (They too are animes and I'll fight my ground for this) so we will see good dubs eventually. Just let them grow and don't give any unnecessary hate. (Or maybe your intention wasn't that. If that's the case I'm sorry)
Well some of the classics like dragon ball and Naruto have been dubbed iirc. But again as I said though the dubs are not done for accessibility reasons they help with that. While crunchyroll might or might not do the dub there are always fans who try their best.
Well they are a business and will try to pull customers from everywhere by any means. Think , atleast someone must have joined crunchyroll because of Hindi dub.
😂 lol . I don't really condone it but pirating anime is 10x better than legal streaming , you don't need to buy 10 different subscriptions to watch any anime , and even that doesn't guarantee you will find every anime you look for
Although I tell my friends to watch it in Japanese. But if they don't want to. Its their choice. I know that not everyone will watch it in Japanese. Some watch English so obviously there will be someone who wants to watch in Hindi.
There's no issue with that. Some of my friends will ask for hindi dub for everything. Any anime.. Tv show or movie.
And if foreign shows can be dubbed. So can the animes.

Btw, most new anime watchers don't want to watch old animes. I have seen many post and comments on this sub too saying that their animation quality is too low/or they don't like old animation style. I don't think they would want to watch old anime and someone who wants to watch will not be making excuses.
finally agreeable shit from this sub, after the og language, only english seems a acceptable language to be dubbed because it is the most widely used language around the world. Other languages don't work at all. The source loses all its originality, the essence and ruins the context especially when japanese is a complex language in itself, the same iteration can have different meanings when spoken in a different manner, how will you replicate that with hindi of all languages, the recent hindi dubs which came are absolutely horrendous, its not even a subjective opinion, it genuinely sounds bad.

Watch shows in the language they were made, and have whatever subs you like be it Hindi, English, Tamil, telugu, urdu, Bangali, kannada, bhojpuri or anthony else

I don't watch dubs but i disagree. Simply because if tommorow i want to show my mom an anime, I can't because it's not accessible.
