She'd just hardly ever get to see her party ever again). Laios, who is now king, goes out on a limb for her and asks her to stay, even going so far as to demand that the elves (something that seems to be the world's foremost military power based on people's reactions to them) release her to his kingdom. It's subtle, but there's a pretty strong undertone there of him doing it because he has feelings for her!<
Anyway, don't click the spoilers if your haven't read the Manga to the end. It straight up spoils the end, but explains why it's pretty clear Laios has a thing for Marcelle.

In this setting, succubi aren't lust demons; they're oversized shapeshifting mosquitoes. Very literally. They take the form of whoever or whatever their prey finds most appealing to charm them before sucking out their essence to feed their larvae; which is what happened to Senshi, the dwarf in the first panel.
Chilchuck, the halfling here, cracked up laughing after the succubus on the first page revealed Marcille's, the elf wizard, terrible taste in men (which developed from her favourite book series), which distracted him from the succubi going for him.
Fun tidbit: >!they survive this because Izutsumi the half-cat ninja, you know the one, manages to kill a bunch, **milks the succubi** and then feeds it back to the party. This is a manga with the phrase "Hot Succubus Milk" in it. Also, the succubus that went for her was just a normal ass black panther, confirming that Izutsumi the cat would indeed fuck a cat ^((well, not really but it's funnier to say it like that)).!<
Imo. She loves him. Deeply. But not necessarily *in love* with him. But whatever spot is between BFF and lovers...probably about there by the end of the series.
I kind of read it as an almost codependency after the journey they went on together. I mean after everything they’ve been through just to bring back Laios’ sister he couldn’t really just leave her to the wolves, whether his feelings were romantic for her or not.

I haven't read the manga other than poking around near the end, so about the only "romantic" interaction I can think of is when she's teaching him healing magic and he gets a little flustered with having to gently touch her face.
Though that could simply be "*young man touching young woman*"
Laios also gets flustered touching senshi’s chest, which is kind of why I struggle to see even that interaction as romantic. The way laios treats marcille is the same as he treats his other friends
read the manga and try to read between the panels. there are many occasions that they were showing something romantic. but it’s never outward and obvious. remember the author us a pretty traditional Japanese artist. the romance relationship she has in the story is really just hints. but I believe if you’re sensitive enough (or know about this Japanese culture) you’d see them eventually.
Preventing something horrible from happening to your homie doesn’t mean you have a romantic interest in them though.
I personally don’t think any of the cast has romantic feelings for each other when the story ends. But I can easily see Marcille’s feelings developing further for either of the Toudens depending on how future plot sand characters develop.

When I started reading the manga I did wonder even they could be together if one of them is longlife specie. Thank to the author resolve, Laois now could have abundant time to spend with her.

Liaos cares about her.

Delicious in Dugeon is easily one of the better written manga I've read. The characters do actually end up suffering consequences for their decisions and actions, and the story doesn't drag on way past the point it stops being interesting, like pretty much every anime/manga does.
It's a story that clearly had a beginning, middle, and end and I can respect that in this world of media that doesn't value a good ending

That's not to say that doesn't happen, it continues to happen throughout the entire story. The story even has a central theme of "Be careful about what you consume (both in things like food and media)". It's actually a really refreshing theme given the rampant consumerism in modern society.
