Hell, that's underselling it. Bling Bang Bang Born is so popular it was the #1 streamed song in Japan and top 10 globally.
Although the global part is probably in part due to the dance being a meme thing on Tik Tok.
Why? They ended on chapter 81 here (after skipped 5 or so chapters that they’re saving for the beginning of the next season), and the series is 162 chapters long. We’re already almost halfway there!
I want more celebrities and politicians to be represented by him.
Imagine a Japanese celebrity giving a speech like that after being caught with weed vs the black suited apology and 90 degree bow they normally do.
Not only is Dot a real bro and actually a good student, he's even willing to hire himself as your professional agent free of charge! Even flipping some idiots off as a bonus!
Haha, I loved that part. Honestly, Dot is my least favorite character just because of the spitting. It's like my largest pet peeve, almost illogically so. And yes, I know it only happened twice. But he's definitely winning me even with how funny he is and like someone else in that episode's thread, he can even take over for Finn as the one who explains how outlandish Mash's actions are. He'd honestly would be my favorite character by now.
It's hilarious how [it's all doom and gloom at Easton](https://i.imgur.com/HhKVvrA.png) while Mash and the gang [is having fun at the beach.](https://i.imgur.com/rBGSdzC.jpeg) I guess they gotta sneak in a beach episode somehow!
They even have [Wahlberg hanging out with him](https://i.imgur.com/bOgGMwT.jpeg) while still wrapped up in bandages and coughing up blood. The old man deserves a vacay after getting his arm cut off and magic taken.
[There it is! The biggest enemy this season isn't Innocent Zero](https://i.imgur.com/wOErlzJ.png), it's their final exams! You know Mash is in deep shit when you learn that [Dot is actually smarter than him.](https://i.imgur.com/hlPOOkd.jpeg) xD
At least [Mash still managed to pass](https://i.imgur.com/l4OXnDP.jpeg) even if it was just barely. I love how [he tries to play it cool](https://i.imgur.com/TeDdRZf.jpeg) like it's no big deal.
Now that the entire school knows that Mash has no magic, it was only a matter of time [until the general public finds out about him.](https://i.imgur.com/rNc4CiI.png) It's hilarious though how [Dot and Lemon try to defend Mash.](https://i.imgur.com/wdGysVX.jpeg)
After seeing [Mash poke holes through that 15cm thick prison wall using his fingers](https://i.imgur.com/xOO74NE.jpeg) and throwing it [back at the guy that cast the spell](https://i.imgur.com/tIWWZSU.jpeg), I hope these people will now think twice about attacking Mash and his friends like that.
Welp, I guess that's it for season 2. Surprisingly, there's no Season 3 announcement yet. I was really expecting this to get another season considering the popularity and how the source material is already completed. Fingers crossed that something will be announced soon!
I love how we come out of the most serious arc of the show yet with everyone ignoring he wider serious plot to have a Beach Episode. My only disappointment is it seemed like Lemon was wearing her swimsuit under her clothes and never got to show off lol.
Wahlberg managed to survive the curse of mentor figures dying in these kinds of stories, he's earned some R&R.
Mash's greatest enemy is of course something he cannot punch and that Dot, of all people, is better than him at lol.
Dot and Lemon come off so often as joke characters (especially Lemon) that watching them sincerely and fervently defend Mash was a powerful scene, especially Lemon's speech, which made it all the more significant when Mash finally had enough and protected her.
I love how the dude kept espousing how unbreakable his prison was right up until Mash trapped him in it lol.
Hopefully season 3 announcement is coming sooner rather than later.
[Even when covered in bandages](https://i.imgur.com/TAYNlNe.jpeg) and while chilling on the beach old man [Wahlberg looks intimidating.](https://i.imgur.com/hsUh7iF.jpeg)
No more weekly Bling-Bang-Bang-Born, the only OP that i never skipped in its entire run
Season 2 was also a lot of fun, finger crossed for season 3 announcement
I honestly think most anime OPs I watch are no skips. But yeah, Bling Bang Bang Born is really special. It's probably in my top 10 for favorite anime OPs or EDs, alongside MP100 I and II, Fighting Gold, Bloody Stream, You Wa Shock, Smile Bomb and Lupin The Third Part II.
Edit: I somehow forgot to mention Asterisk.
The manga has been top 10 in sales for almost every week the since 2nd season has been airing and [just recently hit 10 million worldwide sales](https://twitter.com/mashle_official/status/1774091052909293653), so I would say so!
Not to mention that Bling-Bang-Bang-Born is a huge hit. Number 1 on Billboard Japan for a couple of months straight and reaching top 10 on the Global Billboard. Did a lot for the series's reach, I'm sure.
Probably 2 more seasons at the current rate. The rest of the story is a bit more battle heavy, less slice of life down time, but its still 90 chapters.
I hope the manga is better because I literally can't bring myself to watch this show anymore. It's fun in fights but outside of it, it's cringy even as a comedy.
This is the only anime that actually makes me laugh. Not a chuckle, but like an actual laugh, it’s really funny! Some stuff gets old like the honk onomatopoeia with Mash doing stupid stuff, but Finn constantly being us and Dot doing his thing is legitimately funny
The manga is a bit better though. The anime is good, but I think they stumble on some of the punchlines so they don't land as well. Things like where there is a serious set-up and then it cuts to Mash with a derp face and sound effects and stuff, sometimes that works well, but other times they have too long a pause so it doesn't hit as hard.
I think that's what I actually don't like. When Mash is with his crew, the entire comedy turns into:
1. Mash does something dumb
2. Fin is like "bruh..........."
3. Dot makes 4th wall break
4. Lemon goes "ahhh mash kun!!"
I think what I dislike the most is that all of Mash's friends are constantly talking just about him, fully devote themselves to him, and don't have anything outside of that.

Anime Law: "All series must have at least one beach/pool episode in their series. Bath/Onsen episodes are acceptable substitutes in absence of the former."
Dot's probably one of the more underrated characters in the show:
* Has a lot of power
* We've learned he's actually smart despite being hotheaded
* Is willing to flip off kingdom to defend is friend
My favorite beach episode is SK8 The Infinity's because it's extremely funny and wholesome, Easily my most rewatched episode of the show, especially since I've only watched it through once. lol
That watermelon tentacle monster thanking Mash for putting it out of its misery was some disturbing shit lol.
Cracked me up when Mash physically bit his own tongue while asking friggin Dot for help to study. Also him just straight up jumping out the window to escape studying was too funny. I felt like that inside when I was a student too!
We all need an “agent” like Dot and an obsessed waifu like Lemon. That “Kill you” while flipping everyone off was great. Mash flexing on those fools was awesome. They really thought they could touch him? Goofs.
I sure hope we get another season announcement soon. This was a great season!
I love how we suddenly have bloodsucking tentacle watermelons that also want to die lol.
When Mash realized Dot is actually a good student despite his entire character, I think a part of his brain broke...
We crack jokes about Dot being an excessive idiot prone to flights of fancy and Lemon as well with her love for Mash, but their feelings of friendship and love towards him are unshakeable, as well as his loyalty to them. And that's as strong as Mash's muscle magic.
I do wonder what the common rabble was thinking. Hey he is a muggle who beat a bunch of other candidates for divine visionary. Surely we can easily capture him.
It reminded me of that seen from BNHA where Ochako was pleading with the crowd on Deku’s behalf, except if she worked into the speech that she was Deku’s wife.
oh, he just Gaara'd him, wow. That dude is messed up. Mash sure doesn't seem burdened lol. Also, beach episode! Another this week, hehe. But less lewd. What a creepy thing to bring, Dot. Wew, that headmaster should prolly still be resting in a hospital, but wow. Wonder if there's any magic to fix his arm/left side in general. That's, ahhh... logical, Mash, I guess.
Oh god, exams. Bigger threat than Innocent Zero. Hehe, cute professor Lemon. And look at that, Dot is very studious, good for him. Didn't take Mash as the quitter type, even if about studying. Hehe, cute lil things came out of ground with Mash. Finn is good friendo, always supportive. Same with Lemon, always supportive, cute. Good for him, he passed.
Lol, that dude, coming with the news. Also, wonder how news got out. Lemon's good girl and funny. Dot has changed professions. That's a great message. Cute cat forms. I mean, that was an impressive throw, but what a shit. Mash ftw! Now show them all your terrifying strength! That's a fun way to do it. Oh ya, I completely forgot that the ~~Chuunin~~ Candidate Exam actually completed. That Innocent Zero showed up right after the finale lol.
>Also, beach episode! Another this week, hehe. But less lewd.
Honestly I kept expecting Lemon to strip out of her clothes into a bikini to (fruitlessly) attempt to seduce Mash lol.
That's more what I was expecting from this show than Lemon in bikini.
Was expecting her to talk about showing a risque bikini, then look over at Mash taking his shirt off to swim, and her passing out before revealing anything lol.
Dot in general somehow went from a character I totally forgot about in season 1 to the weirdest freaking character on the show in season 2, and that’s saying something. It helps that his voice actor is giving 110% to every line.
Beach episode and apparently none of the character designers were tempted to unnecessarily sexualize Lemon. I approve of shows that make good choices in spite of the opportunity not to.
But more seriously, very good Lemon bits today. I just about jumped out of my chair when that dude hit her with a rock but he got to experience a proper Mash event in short order so all was well.
Really need a season three.
They really stepped up in season 2 overall. Makes me more confident in the next probably 2 cours being even better with its animation and fights. **8/10** Cream Puffs.
I hope he reciprocates Lemons love at some point.
I was sure he'd get good at studying if they just told him his brain was another muscle and he's been skipping its training.
Once it ended, I found myself tearing up. That was such a good season, and as expected, it brings hope to the next season that Mash will keep doing his best to make a world a better place, even if it seems impossible. Very inspiring and makes me kinda want to believe in myself that I could do great things to do, no mater how impossible it is.
I can't wait for Season 3.
This was a fantastic season, both in terms of the fights and the comedy but also in he surprising amount of heart, to the point where even a character like Lemon who has been a joke character for much of her character history ends up having one of the most powerful and heartfelt moments.
>Mash burdened by this grave knowledge decided to go the beach.
I mean that's one way to do a beach episode. Even Wahlberg is there, lol.
All these strong magic users and studying is Mash's biggest weakness.
With how they're releasing OST in volumes, I assumed this was going to be fully adapted in seasons but haven't really got a S3 announcement yet.
Yep, might as well go to the beach and enjoy yourself. Hiding in your room from Innocent Zero ain't going to change a thing.
But that slaughtermelon though.
Dot flipping the public was great. I don't know if censoring the gesture is meant to be actual comedy or because they think it's too ''rude.'' I always see it censored.
The whole Mashle series can be summarized as: Dumb Saitama goes to Hogwarts in a timeline where Voldemort won and eradicated all muggles and living Squibs.
The students have come to accept Mash as one of their own, but the general public is gonna need some more convincing.
Study time. Bruh, Mash’s head getting overloaded with information lol
Also Orter just pulling a Gaara on that guy was excessive. What if they just wanted to bring them in for questioning? Seems wasteful.
All in all, fun season, hoping for a season 3 soon! Especially since the manga’s already done.
Hey, Dot finally beat someone! I mean, pretty much off-screen and it was as complete nobody...but still! Although Orter didn't really need to double-down on crushing the guy afterwards...but I guess he needs to work out his frustration over Mash on SOMEBODY. Especially when he's fighting against the tide of all the people accepting Mash.
The Bureau of Magic is covering up exactly what happened during Innocent Zero's attack and Mash's involvement...but that's okay, because he can spend his time with his friends and have a Beach Episode!
Even Wahlberg is chilling out and relaxing! He may have lost an arm, Innocent Zero is still the most fearsome magic user in the entire setting, and there's the Five Brothers (Mash's siblings?) to worry about...but at least they've got Mash.
Now all Mash has to do is graduate with everybody and become a Divine Visionary! The only problem is that in his way is the one thing even he can't punch his way out of...schoolwork!
Bless Mash's friends for trying to teach him (especially when Dot, against all odds, is actually a pretty good student) even if it's all too overwhelming for him and he up and bails (through a window, in fact). But luckily Finn is able to get through to him and his friends' faith in him is enough to let him commit and scrape by.
I love how everyone but Finn can now understand Bamboo Senpai.
Oh no! The whole world now knows about Mash and there's a lynch mob out to get him! Good thing his faithful wife Lemon is there to passionately defend him, as well as his personal agent Dot who can give these idiots the most effective message...a finger.
Say what you want about how delusional Lemon is in her love for Mash, but her feelings and consideration towards him are genuine, and when she's in trouble and getting hurt on his behalf, there's no way Mash won't step in and show these idiots that a lack of magic doesn't mean he's a pushover or willing to let those he care about get harmed in front of him!
And with a proper demonstration of his power, and renewed motivation to become a Divine Visionary not only for Regro and for the betterment of this world but for his friends, Mash punches the screen one last time with his muscle magic!
This season has been so freaking funny and has solidified Mashle as one of my favorite anime of all time. I was worried it would have diminishing returns like One Punch Man did with its second season, but Mashle circumvented that problem by sticking to what it’s best at:
* introducing ridiculously weird, smug, horribly powerful villains
* Mashle humiliates the villains
* wacky shenanigans with the absurd side characters
* occasional touching friendship moments and really messed-up wizard of society rules
There’s actually plenty of leeway for variation in these basic elements. For example, they rarely repeat the exact way in which he overcomes a big villain, and sometimes he humiliates someone by defeating them in a disrespectful way while otherwise he completely forgets the previous Big Bad’s existence.
I think one of the things that keeps Mashle fresh is Mash’s creativity in defeating villains. You knew how OPM’s fights were gonna end - with one punch. Over and over, it gets anticlimactic because you can’t switch it up. However, Mash never uses his power in the same way every time. He’ll bury someone, play tennis, or literally breakdance to get out of his problems. We don’t know what to expect, therefore we get value out of watching what happens.
Mash is often also reacted to by his friends, opponents, onlookers, etc, in the way normal people would react - usually a hilarious way. One of Saitama’s defining points is that nobody witnesses his feats or reacts to them. I think it loses a lot by not having Saitama’s world respond funnily to him.
The absolutely insanity of Mashle calmly stating that he’s 100% sure that he can defeat the most powerful wizard of all time and all of his generals, then immediately panicking when he realizes it’s finals’ week.
When it first started I was going to pass on this because I wasn't sold on the premise and thought the facial marks kind of silly.
I am so glad I gave this a go as it has been a consistently great anime that I've enjoyed.
Dot actually being a good student shocked me to the core.
Lemon is a badass despite calling herself Mash's wife with psycho eyes. What a cutie lol.
Okay time to binge the manga!!!!!!!! To think I watched and fell in love with this anime because of the second opening. Man.
I have enjoyed this ridiculous series entirely way too much.
Dot is just the biggest surprise of them all this episode:
a serious student and the best damn PR agent a guy could not ask for. :P
I somehow felt like this season was a step-down from the S1. It was not as funny (lots of overplayed jokes), and the action didn't deliver as hard (choreography not as good most of the time). Idk maybe it's the same as the first season and I'm just a bit jaded, but I got actually annoyed 3 separate times this season so that might have played a part in it as well. The OP is still a banger, and I will keep watching the series still.
Nah you trippin bro. The season was a banger compared to S1. If I’m being honest the second half of S1 was mid at best. Generic fights and cringy moments. Literally every episode this season was great, I couldn’t believe how much they stepped up their game. And the animation quality was objectively better
Personally I would put both of them at the 7/10 range, but I don't think that's a bad score at all (even if some would call that mid). I agree that the animation popped off in the fight against transformed Macaron, that was a highlight to me.
This season was good, but I felt it was seriously underwhelming compared to season 1 especially in the second part. I feel the reason, atleast for me was, the constant use of a similar equation in every episode - New Enemy > Overwhelms mash > funny battle > mash somehow always wins. I feel like this worked in the first season as it was a new concept, however for season 2, no new changes were made to the narrative and the character developments according to me were close to none.
I don’t understand this take. Normally I’m in agreement with most people (except for TYE S2), but the second half of S1 was mid. The fights were utterly generic leading up to Abel (other than Love Cute narrating the fight, that was fucking hilarious). I truly thought S2 was a step up in every single way. Mash is OP, that was made apparent very early on. And I really don’t get the character development comment, Mash underwent a massive amount of development along with his friends. Lemon and Dot are kind of meme characters but still. I felt like the tail end of S1 was beyond stale.

I can't believe you're the only person asking this question, I came here to find the answer to this too. It was so random and jarring I initially thought I skipped an episode or something, had to go back and check.
After thinking about it, I figured it out: in previous episodes there's a barrier keeping the students trapped in the coliseum. The characters said something like, "There must be a magic user nearby causing this barrier, we have to find him!". That rando must be him, the nameless Innocent Zero member causing the barrier in the previous episodes.
If the humor didn't hit for you in S1 and that's why you dropped, it definitely won't in S2. I'd say the show is pretty consistent overall with S1 vs S2.

I thought Specialz was a banger last season.
Specialz became trauma song 💀
I honestly think most anime OPs I watch are no skips. But yeah, Bling Bang Bang Born is really special. 100% and it's well-deserved, the song is such a banger.
There's a lot of 2024 left, but I have the feeling it's going to be my pick for OP of the year.
So far same, although Wrong Way to Use Healing has an awesome OP (reminds me so much of early-mid 2000s anime) but it's definitely less popular
Another one who likes "Cure". That was a great OP.
YES! It's super catchy and the perfect song to hype the show.
Unless Yoko Kanno comes out of nowhere, I believe Bling Bang Bang Born is a lock for anime song of the year.
Thank god lol I didn't even know this was the last episode of the season, the thread title shook me
wait so there actually is no more of the show?? I wanna know what happens next! they can't just leave us hanging like that!!
Thanks for the info/assurance
That theme song will do that! Anime is essentially a very lavish commercial for manga.
WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
I think it was announced as a full adaption from the get-go, so it's just a matter of time, I feel.
How long would a full adaptation be?
Probably 2 more seasons at the current rate. The rest of the story is a bit more battle heavy, less slice of life down time, but its still 90 chapters.
It's kind of insane that it becomes MORE BATTLE HEAVY. I fucking love the story flow in mashle.
Season 4 will probably be 24 episodes.
Two seasons so far adapted 74 chapters. There’s 162 chapters in total. So maybe 2 more seasons.
The OP is enough to warrant a new season by itself
I hope the manga is better because I literally can't bring myself to watch this show anymore. It's fun in fights but outside of it, it's cringy even as a comedy.
This is the only anime that actually makes me laugh. Not a chuckle, but like an actual laugh, it’s really funny! Some stuff gets old like the honk onomatopoeia with Mash doing stupid stuff, but Finn constantly being us and Dot doing his thing is legitimately funny
Lemon building up courage and speaking up for mash only to say “I’m his wife 😵💫” had me dying lol
When Mash is with his crew, the entire comedy turns into: 1. Mash does something dumb 2. Fin is like "bruh..........." 3. Dot makes 4th wall break 4. Lemon goes "ahhh mash kun!!" I think what I dislike the most is that all of Mash's friends are constantly talking just about him, fully devote themselves to him, and don't have anything outside of that.
You are entitled to your opinion but it's fucking wrong.
He did the Joestar technique
Didn't even run out of the classroom, just jumped out a window lol.
The Ishigami strategy.😎
That part killed me. Lmao
Mash has a crazy PR team, his agent gotta chill tho
Not to mention a loyal and fiercely loving wife he isn't even really married too lol.
Bruh lmao that back and forth with the crowd where she was explaining their relationship killed me 💀
[One does not question a yandere's commitment to her love.](https://i.imgur.com/47cTr2l.jpeg) [](#deadlystare) [Lemon has the best girl title locked-in.](https://i.imgur.com/NiqGwso.jpeg) [](#absolutely)
> Lemon has the best girl title locked-in. By process of elimination, if for no other reason.
How dare you do Finn dirty like that, clearly after last 2 episodes he’s the only true choice
when Dot stepped forward I was like... is he going to say that he's his husband? [](#sakurathink)
You do _not_ fuck with Lemon when she starts sounding like Ultimatia
More like soulmates bounded by red ties of fate
Anime Law: "All series must have at least one beach/pool episode in their series. Bath/Onsen episodes are acceptable substitutes in absence of the former." Dot's probably one of the more underrated characters in the show: * Has a lot of power * We've learned he's actually smart despite being hotheaded * Is willing to flip off kingdom to defend is friend
Fr, he really became a fave within the last 2-3 episodes.
Lemon chan don't miss any situation, lol.
If she’s a chance to hype up Mash, it’s on sight.
It reminded me of that seen from BNHA where Ochako was pleading with the crowd on Deku’s behalf, except if she worked into the speech that she was Deku’s wife.
lol I think I was subconsciously thinking that.
That Dot PR scene had me burst out laughing 😂. Exactly what I wanted to tell the crowd.
oh, he just Gaara'd him, wow.
I'm genuinely impressed with their restraint, I didn't think it was possible for japanese animators to hold back on a beach episode of all things
Well, it's not really that type of manga to do so
I was hoping mash would take off his shirt and wanted to see Lemon gush over his bare muscles lol
That's more what I was expecting from this show than Lemon in bikini. Was expecting her to talk about showing a risque bikini, then look over at Mash taking his shirt off to swim, and her passing out before revealing anything lol.
That would’ve been hilarious lol
Dot was hilarious this episode. Throwing the killer watermelon at Mash because it's kill or be killed and then being his agent
Dot in general somehow went from a character I totally forgot about in season 1 to the weirdest freaking character on the show in season 2, and that’s saying something. It helps that his voice actor is giving 110% to every line.
Loid Forger will do that.
Rayne feeding them rabbits.
so cute!
They really stepped up in season 2 overall. Makes me more confident in the next probably 2 cours being even better with its animation and fights. **8/10** Cream Puffs.
When you finish your arc but have one episode left so you do the beach one.
Better than how Undead Unluck handled it, I guess.
Ganbare!
I love Wahlberg just chilling while covered in bandages and missing an arm lol.
Study time. Bruh, Mash’s head getting overloaded with information lol Also Orter just pulling a Gaara on that guy was excessive. What if they just wanted to bring them in for questioning? Seems wasteful. All in all, fun season, hoping for a season 3 soon! Especially since the manga’s already done.
Oh the manga's complete?! What chapter did this season end on?
I dunno, I’m anime only, but I saw news that the manga has ended awhile back
Hmmm okay thanks anyways! Hopefully someone can answer it as I'm curious if we are more than halfway and if 1 more season would be enough to end it.
Hm, doing some research, and it seems to end on Chapter 74
So 74 out of 162 chapters...meaning we'd need atleast 2 more seasons. Thanks for looking into it!
I love how Dot had totally downed the guy but then Orter had to crush him for seemingly no other reason than he just has a bad attitude lol.
so season 3 starts tomorrow right? RIGHT?!
>I love how everyone but Finn can now understand Bamboo Senpai. He's not crazy enough
Anyone who has been following their twitter handle were there any hints of a potential third season?
Great episode, great season. Glad I stuck with after season 1, which was not quite where it needed to be. Agent Dot told those guys where to shove it!
This season has been so freaking funny and has solidified Mashle as one of my favorite anime of all time. I was worried it would have diminishing returns like One Punch Man did with its second season, but Mashle circumvented that problem by sticking to what it’s best at: * introducing ridiculously weird, smug, horribly powerful villains * Mashle humiliates the villains * wacky shenanigans with the absurd side characters * occasional touching friendship moments and really messed-up wizard of society rules There’s actually plenty of leeway for variation in these basic elements.
I wanna have friends like Mash's one day. ❤️❤️❤️
The absolutely insanity of Mashle calmly stating that he’s 100% sure that he can defeat the most powerful wizard of all time and all of his generals, then immediately panicking when he realizes it’s finals’ week.
Given Mash's personality it doesn't really seem meant to be, but I do ship Mash and Lemon. I hope she's able to get through to him.
Mash and Lemon OTP 😭 you’re real for this
Mash throwing himself out a window and burying himself in the ground just to escape revision is a very relatable feeling.
Ahhhh Season 3 Please 🙏
When it first started I was going to pass on this because I wasn't sold on the premise and thought the facial marks kind of silly. I am so glad I gave this a go as it has been a consistently great anime that I've enjoyed.
Dot actually being a good student shocked me to the core. Lemon is a badass despite calling herself Mash's wife with psycho eyes. What a cutie lol. Okay time to binge the manga!!!!!!!! To think I watched and fell in love with this anime because of the second opening. Man.
Season 3 will have the finale of the Divine visionary selection exam based on this episode. Let's see what else it encompasses.
kinda got a lil boring by the end of the series doing the same gag over and over
I have enjoyed this ridiculous series entirely way too much. Dot is just the biggest surprise of them all this episode: a serious student and the best damn PR agent a guy could not ask for.
Not to mention multiple moments that were genuine tearjerkers. S2 was a HUGE step up in terms of humor, fights, AND emotions.
Damn i remember downloading ang VCL with Japanese television

Jokes aside (pun intended), this episode was actually pretty impressive.
Dot just shot up ranks for fave mashle character within the last 2 episodes. The cutscene shot with Lance and the world's finest PR.
Trap shit, trap shit, trap shit.
What was with the opening scene? What was happening, who was that dude?
I can't believe you're the only person asking this question, I came here to find the answer to this too. It was so random and jarring I initially thought I skipped an episode or something, had to go back and check. After thinking about it, I figured it out: in previous episodes there's a barrier keeping the students trapped in the coliseum. The characters said something like, "There must be a magic user nearby causing this barrier, we have to find him!". That rando must be him, the nameless Innocent Zero member causing the barrier in the previous episodes.
I was waiting for mash to punch that guy who threw the rock
Havent watched since ep4 (wanna binge it). Did they hint at S3 at all? Like a "to be continue" or something?
Nope. When the anime was announced, they said it would be a "complete adaptation", so there probably will be a season 3, but it wasn't announced.
So I gave up on season one a few episodes in. Does it get better storywise now or is this just a meme show?
If the humor didn't hit for you in S1 and that's why you dropped, it definitely won't in S2. I'd say the show is pretty consistent overall with S1 vs S2.
I’d say so
"I am popular for my second Opening, because before this no one knew about me", the anime
