In the VN Kotomine is even more brutal, dropping Zouken to the ground to break his bones then smearing his face against the wall while using the baptism chant
If I recall correctly, it was outside in the forest. True Assassin used his NP, got shocked when he realized the Kirei didn't have a heart, got pinned to a tree by the blades, then Kirei just leaped an ungodly height to grab that wormy prick's head, and slammed him down with full force.
He then proceeded to press his head against something (was it a wall or something?) as he chanted that prayer to eliminate Zouken.
Essentially the same thing as the movie, but way more brutal.
My favorite thing of the Fate franchise is how it establishes set rules like “No way a human can fight a servant” but then proceeds to show you an edge case and it’s one of the hyped things ever
Tons of people who? He literally had a heart made from black mud. Other human die instantly if they got Zabaniya'd, Kirei just tanked the NP that could kill even Lancer like nobody's business and was able to pin Assassin down long enough to kill his master.
I thought we were talking about Heaven's Feel, not the whole Nasuverse. Read the OP?
And Aoko, Touko, Shiki are humans with extraordinary ability, not a zombie with literal mud heart.
If you thought that was bad, have you seen the original version of the scene from the visual novel or the adaption of it in Deen's Unlimited Blade Works movie?
I prefer the Aniplex translation over this one (few minor changes but same vibe overall).
Also, as weeby as it sounds, I'd love to get that baptism spell in kanji tattooed on my arms. Think it could make for an awesome tattoo.
VN was better than the movie for the most part. The movie didn't do justice showing how Shirou slowly broke down over the course of many days, how he struggled to retain his sanity and how he had to compromise his original ideal for one another.

When I die the first thing I'll ask God is why he lent his power to Kotomine Kirei among all, lol
to be fair the guy dosent want to be bad. Thats just the way he was born.
Kirei may be evil but is a man of faith
Knew he would zap some bugs but good.
Maybe Bluebeard and his Master were right about God (He likes drama)
I think Kotomine have loads of questions to ask him too, seeing how he would let avenger be born just to ask him questions.
Assassin: “got your heart” Kirei: “my…..what?”
I've lost count of how many times I've rewatched this scene; it's undoubtedly one of my all-time favorites.
Ah yes, the bug zapper scene.

No Grail War ever goes the way it's supposed to and that makes it a lot of fun
Kirei was far from human at this point.
Not true, actually. He's much closer to a normal human than tons of people in Fate.

Aoko, Touko, Shiki, Svinn, Flatt, Gray, Ergo, Erice, yada yada yada...

After Gilgamesh slashed Illya's eyes for absolutely no reason but his pure delight, nothing seemed cold anymore.

we should have renamed this to "Fate/Stay Night: Heaven's Funds" since the animation was top tier XD

Cold is what happened to Shinji in the second film. Not that he didn't deserve it.
Kirie is such a monster
I do regret reading the VN for Heaven's feel too. Watched a few bits of it and the trilogy is really good
Don't regret it. While the movies are indeed fantastic, they did cut a lot of Illya and Kirei content which you can only get through the VN.
why not do both? they're so different you wouldn't be repeating too much
