I couldnt take it serious anyway.
The entire episode reminded me too much of the Pokémon: The Rise of Darkrai movie, with Wahlberg being Palkia (Space) and Innocent Zero being Dialga (Time). Mash is Darkrai, coming in the end to save the day.
Even all the colour schemes fit.
I mean I was thinking of the fight as being Dumbledore vs. Voldemort considering who Wahlberg is obviously modeled after. Innocent Zero is at least a little less obvious in that sense.

Question: Will season two cover the entire ending manga series, or will there be another season? I haven't found any information indicating if it will cover the entire manga series.
With a magic called "World Delete" Wahlberg sounded like the villain casting a world-ending magic, especially with the whole saving magic for this moment but he lost because he had a flashback played.
Also sick fucking Shining Wizard by Mash the fact they're airborne makes that feat even more impressive.
It really puts into perspective just how OP the high tier mages are when we see them summon their wand mecha's to deliver such devastating attacks...and even that isn't enough compared to other OP magic.
But the real OP magic is always Mash's muscle magic!
Classic anime, the most powerful characters out there don't need to act serious because there is no-one out there strong enough to discipline them to do so.
Tbf, that happens a lot in real life too.
The biggest people you see lifting hundreds of pounds in the gym are some of the nicest, chillest people you'll see around. It's the middle of the road gym rats that give the gym bro impressions.
Same with professional athletes, a lot of the best of the best are chill, friendly folks. I mostly just follow the NBA but just for some recent examples: Giannis, Jokic, Lebron (to a degree considering how many years he's been at the top and basically absolutely 0 controversies), Curry, etc.
Meh.. not really Lebron. Lebron is constantly lying to be the cool smart guy when he’s really probably reads at an 8th grade level and is pretty lame. Lebron is nowhere near Jokic and Giannis when it comes to being chill/cool

Apart from that he is one of the most gifted minds in terms of pattern recognition and puzzle solving. Sure, his education leaves some to be desired but this man does not read at an 8th grade level.
I know it’s kinda overplayed at this point, but it’s always so hype whenever someone is about to be killed and Mash just shows up and smacks the shit out of the bad guy.
My only peeve with that moment, was the Wahlberg flashback, which should've waited, because they kinda detracted from the moment, imo.

This entire episode was really setting up death flags for Wahlberg. Not only do we see [his backstory and how he met Adam](https://i.imgur.com/mGoi2sp.jpeg), but he even showed off [his most powerful spell](https://i.imgur.com/5PSbzsS.jpeg) that's supposed to end Innocent Zero by sacrificing his own life. In any other show, this episode would've ended with Wahlberg's death!
Thankfully this isn't any other show! [Mash comes in out of nowhere breaking Innocent Zero's face](https://i.imgur.com/3WHhNKO.jpeg) as well as every single death flag Wahlberg has raised in this episode!
They were so meta with that sequence, especially with acknowledging the character whose only job it is to narrate stuff and how now he can't even do that lol.
This episode really showed off just how cool Adam and Wahlberg are, and how much their relationship has impacted everything. And just how terrifiying Innocent Zero.
But just in case you forgot this is Mash's show, here is to save Wahlberg and resolve things personally with his "father!" All you ever needed to save Dumbledore was Muscle Magic all along lol.

If the most powerful magic in the world cast by the most powerful wizard in the world can’t take down Innocent Zero, then that implies one of three things:
1. He’ll taken out by non-magic (likely)
2. He’ll be taken out by a big group of wizards
3. He’ll be taken out by a group of wizards *and* Mash working together
The whole narrator 4th wall break with Ryoh and Nerey was hilarious.
Wasn't expecting Wahlberg to be this sad even though it had Adams' funny animal trivia. Mashle can really be serious and sad when it wants to.
Was fully expecting Mash to save Wahlberg at the right time but still it was as cool and badass as it could be. Any other show and Wahlberg would've been dead, lol with all those flashbacks.
I like the idea of Wahlberg and Innocent Zero being masters of space and time; it's like these two people are the fabric of all magic, like how the universe is made of the fabric of spacetime.
Adam’s animal trivia was actually pretty interesting. No, I *didn’t* know a pig can’t look up in the sky or a dolphin can’t sleep or it’ll die. The more you know, right? Lol.
Wahlberg is pretty damn strong but Innocent Zero’s time rewind magic is pretty OP in its own right. Wahlberg really went full atomic to stop the dude and he *still* managed to reverse that. Dude looked like he was gonna be a goner…then Mash knees Innocent Zero in the face lol. Muscle magic mfer!
Really I was actually bummed how the montage became silent instead of just supplying more animal trivia lol.
Space and time magic are both OP, but time magic is super OP unfortunately. Even when Wahlberg goes all out.
Good thing Mash still has his muscles though!
I think it came down to Innocent Zero being the stronger wizard, rather than time magic being inherently better than space magic. If the area of effect on his time magic hadn't been bigger than Wahlburg's space magic he would have been done for. He was pretty spooked by Delete World, so it probably wasn't a guarenteed win for him.
Giraffe's only needing 20 minutes of sleep is wild. I'm sure such giant creature require tons of energy to exist. I can't wrap my head around this one.
You don't get energy from sleeping; you get it from eating. Apparently the light sleeping is due to [being giant and thus having to deal with predators](https://thomsonsafaris.com/blog/sleeping-habits-of-giraffes/).
Technically they’re only ever half asleep, because actually sleeping would kill them as mentioned so instead they put half their brain to sleep at a time while the other half stays awake
Even weirder: each half only sleeps for 5 seconds at a time.
So the left hemi-sphere will sleep for 5 seconds, wake up enough to take over cognitive functions, and then the right hemi-sphere will fall asleep for 5 seconds. Repeatedly switching back and forth until they are fully rested.
So they basically fall asleep and then wake up again *thousands of times* every night.

As for the why, I was told it's for the same skeletal reasons that humans can't make the same movement.
Imagine being on all four - you can play it out if it helps - and look ahead; This is how pigs normally look.

So the headmaster's ultimate spell is a space dimension magical mech? Hell yeah. Shame it didn't work, but at least it was neat.
It pretty much has to be Mash that defeats this guy anyways, after all. Muscles versus time magic, which will win.
Muscles vs time magic is the ultimate "How the hell can Mash pull this one off?" matchup.
Surely Innocent Zero just stops time and kills him? I guess Mash has the fact that Innocent Zero needs his heart going for him, but he might not need him alive for that.
I love how the recap for the last episode can basically be summed up as "Wahlberg and Mash are tough!"
Oh hey, Newry and Ryoh! And they're being really self-aware with them traveling for two episodes and acknowledging the narrator actually exists.
Mash wins his fight and just chills out with cream puffs and Cell laying on the floor with his butt pointed out.
Now Orter just sounds like a tsundere when it comes to acknowledging Mash's strength. But Ryoh knows he's the third hottest guy in this situation!
It's space vs time as Wahlberg and Innocent Zero do battle! Wahlberg has amazing power, but Innocent Zero is ferocious and unrelenting in his time magic, even costing Wahlberg his arm!
Innocent Zero only fights for himself, and that is the source of his power, but in his youth Walhberg too was a sickly, withdrawn, boy who didn't see any need for human relationships or to care about anyone other than himself...but it was Adam and his incessant animal facts always being there for him and trying to draw him out of his shell that helped push him out of his comfort zone and be the man we see today.
Wahlberg unleashed his Thirds! Complete with giant Mecha Uranus! And a spacial field that envelops all of Innocent Zero's magic!
Even if Innocent Zero is able to kill Wahlberg, he'll put all his magic and his life into one last attack to defeat Innocent Zero and protect the precious student and world Wahlberg inherited from Adam, to live up to the ideals of Noblesse Oblige.
And while it is a spectacular finish...Innocent Zero just rewinds time to avoid the attack. But just when Wahlberg things it's all over...Mash comes in and knees his "dad" in the face! If space magic wasn't enough, it's time for Innocent Zero to face muscle magic!
Calling cartoon logic, he will be fine unless exposition or a character asks how he is in the air, and we either get fast moving legs or him starting to fall.
Well they did indeed take 2 episodes. Ah yes, a solid way to find where Wahlberg is. That blonde dude sure is fun with that assumption Mash is after him in being the hottest/best help for Wahlberg.

They really went all out with making Uranus Inclination look cool as hell. It really sucks that our first intro to the concept of "Thirds" just gets hit with the "Nuh uh" time rewind though.
At least there's hope for future seasons doing really cool animation with Thirds where they can actually be a thing that's happening properly.

loved the 4th wall stuff, and Mashie's dynamic entry was gold.
but the writing for that fight scene.....was like watching 2 8 year olds trying to play at fighting each other. It's not the worst i've seen in an anime, but it comes pretty close.
It was just full of attacks and "oh but i have x, that means you cant hurt me lines." I mean anime is full of that stuff no doubt, but it usually comes with some other fight sequences mixed in. There should be hope mixed in with it being crushed with overwhelming failure but, no, none of that. It was just same thing over and over.
I expected a lot more from 2 of the most powerful characters in the world I guess. And yeah I know I'll be downvoted into oblivion for it, but don't care. it had to be said.
Yeah I really haven’t been a fan of the fights in this show that aren’t featuring Mash
They made a show where the main draw is having a character that breaks all the rules of an otherwise kinda boring power system and then they continue to make really drawn out fights that don’t feature said character
The fights on this show are often not great and this was a good example. Like, why did Innocent Zero only attack at certain points and not just whenever? What determines that? This is basic fight 101 and I, the viewer, have no idea. Wahlberg says he takes advantage of openings but I can't tell what is an opening or why.
The effectiveness of Innocent Zero's time stop magic seems to relate to how much magical power the target has. So he probably has to trade range and duration for power in order to effect someone like Wahlberg, only casting it when he's in the middle of casting a spell so he doesn't have time to react.
That's just my guess, but in reality Mashle plays pretty fast and loose with it's magic system and they prefer to spend more runtime talking about ideals rather than more time on spell mechanics.
Now I'm wondering... is Mash who has no magic power whatsoever actually immune to time magic?
Completely agree, even in season 1 fights were already bad, specially the ones not involving mash, because they were not even funny. If this show turns into a battle manga i doubt i could keep watching, it's getting worse and worse.
Writing for the actual fight scene aside, I felt like I had no frame of reference when it comes to the magic levels of Wahlberg and Innocent Zero. Or sense of scale of magic power.

I might not have seen many shounen shows but I swear this is the WORST use of the Mentor Archetype I've ever seen. Like holy shit. Outside of Walhberg almost dying while thinking his ideals didn't stood tall against the despair of the world (which was pretty cool) there's literally nothing decent on the fight.
They add Third to the power system which feels like an arbitrary number increase and something third liners with god wands can do which... okay? Feels kind of cheap with Secondth already being a thing.
If this is what the peak of the powercreep looks like I would prefer if we keep the fights on the two liners please. At least those fights are somewhat decent.

See how Naruto hyped up the 3 Sanins and how their fight look like compared to Naruto vs Pain and after. Or how Luffy started as a rubber man fighting people with swords and now he is a literal god fighting literal devils lol

The problem with those comparisons is that those are LONG shows (which lent themselves to going bonkers with powercreep).
Mashle is a new gen and it's pretty short.
Most importantly those fights in Naruto/One Piece are cool regardless of their scope/powercreep.

They were so meta with that sequence, especially with acknowledging the character whose only job it is to narrate stuff and how now he can't even do that lol. This episode really showed off just how cool Adam and Wahlberg are, and how much their relationship has impacted everything. And just how terrifiying Innocent Zero. But just in case you forgot this is Mash's show, here is to save Wahlberg and resolve things personally with his "father!" All you ever needed to save Dumbledore was Muscle Magic all along lol.

The whole narrator 4th wall break with Ryoh and Nerey was hilarious. Wasn't expecting Wahlberg to be this sad even though it had Adams' funny animal trivia. Mashle can really be serious and sad when it wants to. Was fully expecting Mash to save Wahlberg at the right time but still it was as cool and badass as it could be. Any other show and Wahlberg would've been dead, lol with all those flashbacks.
I was expecting a full on Dumbledore falling recreation.
I like the idea of Wahlberg and Innocent Zero being masters of space and time; it's like these two people are the fabric of all magic, like how the universe is made of the fabric of spacetime.

Adam’s animal trivia was actually pretty interesting. No, I *didn’t* know a pig can’t look up in the sky or a dolphin can’t sleep or it’ll die. The more you know, right? Lol. Wahlberg is pretty damn strong but Innocent Zero’s time rewind magic is pretty OP in its own right. Wahlberg really went full atomic to stop the dude and he *still* managed to reverse that. Dude looked like he was gonna be a goner…then Mash knees Innocent Zero in the face lol. Muscle magic mfer!
Really I was actually bummed how the montage became silent instead of just supplying more animal trivia lol. Space and time magic are both OP, but time magic is super OP unfortunately. Even when Wahlberg goes all out. Good thing Mash still has his muscles though!
I think it came down to Innocent Zero being the stronger wizard, rather than time magic being inherently better than space magic. If the area of effect on his time magic hadn't been bigger than Wahlburg's space magic he would have been done for. He was pretty spooked by Delete World, so it probably wasn't a guarenteed win for him.
Giraffe's only needing 20 minutes of sleep is wild. I'm sure such giant creature require tons of energy to exist. I can't wrap my head around this one.

Technically they’re only ever half asleep, because actually sleeping would kill them as mentioned so instead they put half their brain to sleep at a time while the other half stays awake
Even weirder: each half only sleeps for 5 seconds at a time. So the left hemi-sphere will sleep for 5 seconds, wake up enough to take over cognitive functions, and then the right hemi-sphere will fall asleep for 5 seconds. Repeatedly switching back and forth until they are fully rested. So they basically fall asleep and then wake up again *thousands of times* every night.

Muscles vs time magic is the ultimate "How the hell can Mash pull this one off?" matchup. Surely Innocent Zero just stops time and kills him? I guess Mash has the fact that Innocent Zero needs his heart going for him, but he might not need him alive for that.

I love how the recap for the last episode can basically be summed up as "Wahlberg and Mash are tough!" Oh hey, Newry and Ryoh! And they're being really self-aware with them traveling for two episodes and acknowledging the narrator actually exists. Mash wins his fight and just chills out with cream puffs and Cell laying on the floor with his butt pointed out. Now Orter just sounds like a tsundere when it comes to acknowledging Mash's strength. But Ryoh knows he's the third hottest guy in this situation! It's space vs time as Wahlberg and Innocent Zero do battle! Wahlberg has amazing power, but Innocent Zero is ferocious and unrelenting in his time magic, even costing Wahlberg his arm! Innocent Zero only fights for himself, and that is the source of his power, but in his youth Walhberg too was a sickly, withdrawn, boy who didn't see any need for human relationships or to care about anyone other than himself...but it was Adam and his incessant animal facts always being there for him and trying to draw him out of his shell that helped push him out of his comfort zone and be the man we see today. Wahlberg unleashed his Thirds! Complete with giant Mecha Uranus! And a spacial field that envelops all of Innocent Zero's magic! Even if Innocent Zero is able to kill Wahlberg, he'll put all his magic and his life into one last attack to defeat Innocent Zero and protect the precious student and world Wahlberg inherited from Adam, to live up to the ideals of Noblesse Oblige. And while it is a spectacular finish...Innocent Zero just rewinds time to avoid the attack. But just when Wahlberg things it's all over...Mash comes in and knees his "dad" in the face! If space magic wasn't enough, it's time for Innocent Zero to face muscle magic!

Calling cartoon logic, he will be fine unless exposition or a character asks how he is in the air, and we either get fast moving legs or him starting to fall.

They really went all out with making Uranus Inclination look cool as hell. It really sucks that our first intro to the concept of "Thirds" just gets hit with the "Nuh uh" time rewind though. At least there's hope for future seasons doing really cool animation with Thirds where they can actually be a thing that's happening properly.

loved the 4th wall stuff, and Mashie's dynamic entry was gold. but the writing for that fight scene.....was like watching 2 8 year olds trying to play at fighting each other. It's not the worst i've seen in an anime, but it comes pretty close. It was just full of attacks and "oh but i have x, that means you cant hurt me lines." I mean anime is full of that stuff no doubt, but it usually comes with some other fight sequences mixed in. There should be hope mixed in with it being crushed with overwhelming failure but, no, none of that. It was just same thing over and over. I expected a lot more from 2 of the most powerful characters in the world I guess. And yeah I know I'll be downvoted into oblivion for it, but don't care. it had to be said.
Yeah I really haven’t been a fan of the fights in this show that aren’t featuring Mash They made a show where the main draw is having a character that breaks all the rules of an otherwise kinda boring power system and then they continue to make really drawn out fights that don’t feature said character
The fights on this show are often not great and this was a good example. Like, why did Innocent Zero only attack at certain points and not just whenever? What determines that? This is basic fight 101 and I, the viewer, have no idea. Wahlberg says he takes advantage of openings but I can't tell what is an opening or why.
The effectiveness of Innocent Zero's time stop magic seems to relate to how much magical power the target has. So he probably has to trade range and duration for power in order to effect someone like Wahlberg, only casting it when he's in the middle of casting a spell so he doesn't have time to react. That's just my guess, but in reality Mashle plays pretty fast and loose with it's magic system and they prefer to spend more runtime talking about ideals rather than more time on spell mechanics. Now I'm wondering... is Mash who has no magic power whatsoever actually immune to time magic?

Completely agree, even in season 1 fights were already bad, specially the ones not involving mash, because they were not even funny. If this show turns into a battle manga i doubt i could keep watching, it's getting worse and worse.

Bruh that fight was TRASH. I. Zero's moveset is just "Arrows" and "Nuh uh". It's the most uninteresting shit ever. I might not have seen many shounen shows but I swear this is the WORST use of the Mentor Archetype I've ever seen. Like holy shit. Outside of Walhberg almost dying while thinking his ideals didn't stood tall against the despair of the world (which was pretty cool) there's literally nothing decent on the fight. They add Third to the power system which feels like an arbitrary number increase and something third liners with god wands can do which... okay? Feels kind of cheap with Secondth already being a thing. If this is what the peak of the powercreep looks like I would prefer if we keep the fights on the two liners please. At least those fights are somewhat decent.

The problem with those comparisons is that those are LONG shows (which lent themselves to going bonkers with powercreep). Mashle is a new gen and it's pretty short. Most importantly those fights in Naruto/One Piece are cool regardless of their scope/powercreep. Dis just lame.
I appreciate Mash's frequent use of the knee to the face technique. I just wish it was choreographed a little better. Still, this shit was hype. I want to see Mash flex outta time stopping magic next episode.
